I could feel the warm atmosphere of the park. Did you use reshade for the video? I think you did some post producing on the video but I like it.Been using reshade for all the videos, but this video also features a new one (still in beta) called Sky Studio that lets us work with fog, haze, sunlight position, sky colors, and so much more. It's a wonderful mod. No post production and this one is the first one that I recorded "live" (the video and voiceover at the same time.) Thank you for the kind words!
February 2Feb 2 I saw this image on the homepage and my first thought was, "huh I don't recognize this park or mine train," and then realized I was looking at PlanCo 2 😂 Amazing work on that theming. Also what ReShade effects are you using?

February 15Feb 15 Gnomeland is such a peculiar addition to Copper Creek, and yet you made it work and look&feel totally at home in CP. As usual and always, I am in AWE.

Might have worked better in a different project but at the rate this game is going I'm not sure there will be any other projects. The steampunk section kind of does that same thing, and even the not-thunder-mountain is starting to feel out of place. And of course I'll remind you that I only built the first gnome as a test of my abilities to try and make something as tiny and adorable as your little Twinkle mascot; then the gnomes started to multiply and I had to make a home for them ;)
February 21Feb 21 Perhaps looking at the map from above it they might, but I think you've done a great job separating them visually from the guests viewpoint! I don't think Disney nor Universal does it much better.
February 22Feb 22 What an Great build ! What gives your park the extra realistic look is the Shader you use for me.So much details and so familiar an yet so refreshing and new to look at. 😎
March 1Mar 1 Author Got back into the game after a brief hiatus and spent much of today giving my candy store an interior. I do like how it turned out.Might go back and add in some more merch but it's not a large space and don't want it to get too cluttered.
March 1Mar 1 Wow! Beautiful! That tray ceiling is really something! Great job!Is it my monitor, or is the rear of the place pretty dark?
March 2Mar 2 Author It's not you, the game does ok at handling daylight realistically but horrible with artificial light. There are three spotlights pointed at that back wall and a bunch of embedded lights under the floor throughout and it's still that dark ☹️I'd like to take more credit for the ceiling, the floor and the ceiling are the only gridded pieces in this build I think. I picked that ceiling exactly because I wouldn't have to do something fancy with the underside 😆
March 2Mar 2 Great job on the candy shop. You're using the scaling mod I presume. I think it must be mandatory when building a proper candy store. 😉It looks like you've used my old trick of using billboards to stock (some of) your store shelves... a trick I over-used in my past builds. But it looks great the way you've done it.In repeating what citytrader said, these pics look dark. Even the outdoor shot. I compared these shots with previous ones in this thread and these definitely seem to be darker. I expect it's something related to your monitor, or perhaps settings you've changed in reshade or maybe the sky mod? Regardless, great stuff us usual. March 2Mar 2 Author Actually, I uninstalled the scaling mod a couple weeks ago and undid anything that I had used it for. You know how you told me to edit the config file to change the 10 to a 5? Apparently by then I had already opened the file and saved it. All of the gnomes were destroyed. 🤣 (I got them back by copying EVERY one of them from the workshop file.) I figured the park is so close to the end that there's no point risking further damage with that mod. When (IF) I start a new park, I'll put the mod back in.The billboards were generated today by AI. It will take my job away whether I use it or not so I might as well use it. It's not like I was going to pay for images and music for a park that YouTube won't promote, so no artists are losing revenue from me. 😜I wasn't using the SkyStudio mod today, maybe I need to change the sun's position and see what that does to these photos. Those big glass windows aren't really letting much light in, and like I said to CT this game is not good with artificial light and I haven't fully embraced the over-doing it that is required. Since there is no 2nd floor, I could also turn the top windows into custom ones and that would get some more light inside maybe. It also might improve the building facade, that was one thing from today that I didn't feel was done as well as it could be.Thanks as always!
March 2Mar 2 Wait a sec... I've gotta get my flashlight so I can see these images better. ;-) Even though I have type 2 diabetes, I can't resist a candy shop. And yours looks scrumptious!

The scaling mod messed up my park the first time I used it and I had to reload a backup save file. I only lost a couple hours of work so it wasn't too bad. But what is so annoying is that the author of that mod knew perfectly well that this was a problem, but was too lazy to fix the version on Nexus. And there's no documentation that lets anyone know that the config must be edited to keep this from happening. As an ex-modder, I find this inexcusable. If I found out any of my mods caused any type of problem, I did everything in my power to fix and release it ASAP!2 hours ago, JPTV said:...this game is not good with artificial light and I haven't fully embraced the over-doing it that is required. At first, it seems a great improvement over PC1, which it is. But then you start lighting interiors, and realize how poor it actually is. Firstly, artificial lighting makes the colors of objects look totally different than natural lighting. I almost always have to recolor EVERYTHING once I finish lighting an interior. Maybe I'll eventually learn to light the room first, and then furnish it. But that just seems backwards to me. And also, the lights put out so little light that I have to bury lights under the floor as well as hide them inside the ceiling. I must have 100's of hidden lights in Wonder World so far. And then there's the lighting bug that hits once you put just a few too many lights in one area, which affects the entire park. Well, enough ranting for one day. As they said in Steel Magnolias, "If you don't have something nice to say, come sit by me!" 😁Lots of edits on the candy shoppe, too many to list out but the main thing is that hopefully JB won't have to run out to buy new batteries for his flashlight. (More lighting inside, readjusted the sun position, and added those second floor windows which really did help improve the facade quite a bit.)I do need some help with a decision: Do we like the new "marble-ish" floor that is meant to match the counters, or should I go back to the wood? I know there's a lot of wood in this park already but given the rustic theme of everything I kind of feel like this floor is out of place. I'm leaning toward the wood, what do you think?
March 4Mar 4 I also think the wood is more appropriate for the style and time period of the building, which has some gingerbread but isn't overly ornate.. The Marble does look nice though...I can see why it's a hard decision.

I'm leaning toward the wood, what do you think? The marble look gives it more of a renovated vibe — like it was actually built to be there from the start. The wood version feels more like “it’s always been there and we just made use of it.”Personally, I prefer the marble look. It brightens up the room and (if this were real) would reflect the colors of the candy way better, which makes everything pop a bit more Either way — really nice shop and great use of partitions! 👍☺️
March 4Mar 4 Author Someone else suggested making the floor pink. Not sure I'll do that, but just throwing it out there...I don't know my own lore for this area, the building is old but not as old as the ghost town stuff from the first photos. However old this is, it has def been renovated because it now has a facade way nicer than everything else around it. So by that logic the floor and marble counters could also be a part of the renovation. Thank you both, great input as always!
March 4Mar 4 I prefer the wood floor. I think there is too much contrast between the white marble floor and the dark wood decor. The last pic gives me a Knott's Berry Farm vibe. But if you keep the marble, perhaps a darker color would work better. "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
March 4Mar 4 It still looks pretty dark to me (JB frowns and squints his eyes); I even turned the brightness up a bit on my monitor. At least I still have my trusty flashlight (with fresh batteries!). And anyway, if I could clearly see all that candy, I would undoubtedly eat way too much of it and send my blood sugar into orbit.Nevertheless, everything looks great (from what I can tell) I think I agree with shyguy about there being too much contrast between the light-colored marble floor and everything else. Although, most candy shops do have white(ish) floors; it makes the shop look clean and pristine. Then again, the wood floor does look invitingly rustic. I'm glad you have to make this monumental decision, and not me. (hahahaha)
March 15Mar 15 Author Thanks for the feedback, I did go back to the wood floor and I think I got the lighting issue worked out, reshade wasn't playing well with another lighting mod. It's all about the mods.Time for another video, the candy shoppe didn't make the cut on account of how long it took just to edit this one. Can't blame Frontier either, the issues (multiple) were all on me. Mostly. In better news, I do think the video and the ride turned out ok and I also think I was able to upload in higher resolution than I've been doing previously.
March 15Mar 15 What an incredible rapids , this video alone might convince me to consider using that mod to create better rides with the elements I would need. The theming is flawless , can't wait to visit the park when it's all done!
