  1. Congratulations to OakieDokie, a most worthy winning screenshot. (and my vote as well)

They did them in RCT3 with no problem. I used them quite a bit in Wonder World and Water World.

Some screenshots of the upscale Starliner Restaurant. Reservations are highly recommended. The waiting room. There are so many fake elevators in Wonder World. Would love to get working ones, although I'm sure they'd be so big and bulky that I wouldn't be able to replace my fake ones with them without redesigning everything. Because it's been a long time since I showed a restroom interior.
  4. This is looking SO good. You're in my prayers for the upcoming heat wave. Hoping you survive. 😉

I must admit, the backstage building was from the workshop, as are many of the backstage buildings for this park. Sometimes I modify them, as in the giraffe backstage which I completely did the interior. The lion backstage is pretty much as is, as it was perfect for what I wanted. The African Adventure is now complete and will open to the public shortly. With this and the Space Port 3000 finally finished, I feel I can finally move on to other areas and projects. The final sponsor board. A couple aerials.

You and I think so much alike. I have been viewing old videos of the Horizons ride to get ideas. 😉

Thanks. Yes, my last 2 videos have done quite well and I feel more inspired now to do more. I guess people just don't like Mr. Wonder or Wanda. But I'm not going to tell them. 😉

It's just a dark spot in the texture. The cliff walls were downloaded from the workshop and they are actually made from stalactites.

The finale of the African Adventure is the most iconic animal in Africa...the lion. The West African Lion backstage Luckily, Scooter is only here to clean the enclosure, not to care for the lions. Some aerial views The proud lioness
  10. Yes, it sucks when you work many hours on something and then decide it didn't come out right or something major needs to be changed. After I had built most of the transportation center building, (not all the interiors yet) I realized I needed to move the entire thing 4 meters north because things weren't lining up right. It had too many pieces to move together as a whole, so I had to select portions of it and move them one at a time. Luckily the ability to set the advance move tool to a set length made this easier than I thought it would be. Have you tried nesting multiple copies of a tree on top of itself? I've done this many times to add more height or make a tree look fuller. Everything is looking great so far. I especially like the text on the windows.

Yes, World of the Future pavilion is the last area in Expo 3000. I made it the War of the Worlds ride in RCT3, but I am going to stick closer to what I had in mind when building the model...meaning, I have no idea what's going to go in the show building. 😜 Well, if you like Circus Center, it might not change. Yes, I came up with the name because of the double C's but in hindsight, wasn't sure I liked the name. But for nostalgia sake, it may stay the same.

Yes, it's time to finally move onto the other lands. Actually, Expo 3000 is far from complete, as there is another large pavilion yet to build. But honestly, I need to move onto another theme as I'm quite burnt out with the Epcot/Tomorrowland style. Circus Center is going to be a challenge, which is why I never got around to it in PC1. It should be easier to do in PC2, but still not sure how I'm going to tackle it. I hesitate to start buiIding it, cause I'm afraid Frontier might release circus tents in the future...but probably not. I'm thinking about changing the name to Circus World instead of Circus Center, which I never really liked. But would that be sacrilegious to the original concept?
  13. They haven't removed anything, as far as I know. Just like the deteriorating People Mover tracks which are still there 30 years after the ride closed. Although there's a chance the trolley could come back...the People Mover, not so much.

My first video in a new series will feature tours of the latest additions to all the parks in the Worlds of Wonder Resort. The first showcases opening day of the Sneak Peek Weekend at Expo 3000.

So glad you're doing a water park, so I can steal ideas for Water World. (Although, WW is more of a fantasy, over- the-top park, not the most realistic build) I agree that Frontier didn't do their homework when requiring lazy rivers to be "Swimming" deep. I actually visited a water park and checked the depth of the lazy river and reproduced that in Water World, only to find it wouldn't work and guests just stood still, including children who stood on the bottom and, I guess, drowned themselves. I'm on my third attempt at the lazy river, still hoping if I put it off long enough, there might be some fixes. I know, wishful thinking. This looks great and can't wait to see where you take this.

Every big ride must have a souvenir shop. You can pick up your on-ride photos here. The centerpiece is the Blop tree, where baby Blops are born... and purchasable. Carlotta t-shirts. The big selling items here are the action figures. Collect the whole set!
  17. Looks perfect! 👍
  18. Have fun!
  19. It's looking better. From what I see from the screenshot I posted, it still needs more height. The height at the bottom of the wooden beams is nearly at the top of the trolly windows, whereas yours are around the bottom of the trolly windows. So maybe scale it up a bit concentrating more on height than width. And be careful not to make the wooden beams too bulky. Honestly, it looks very good, and I'm being very nitpicky here. These are just things I might do if I was trying to get it perfect.

Some ride screenshots... These static shots don't have the same impact as actually riding the ride. Mostly because the ride was designed from a first person view, in a dark environment, from fairly fast moving vehicles, so most scenes are not super detailed. Add sound effects and animation, and they take on a whole new look. Also to note, the ride features more than 100 figures, including living beings and robots, some animated and some static. The spiderbot is from the workshop, by Zaccccc_G The robot observers are by Oscar. The flamethrowers are by me. (Impressive, huh) The overseer is by Nate.
  21. I avoided installing the scaling mod for this very same reason. But I finally did, and now can't go back. And it's opened up so many things I can now do that I wanted to do before, but couldn't. Little things that I felt were "off" have now been adjusted and I'm so much happier with many little details that initially bothered me. And I don't feel it's caused me to get overwhelmed with details. I find it's mostly helped a lot with the interiors more than anything else. And since I'm very big on interiors, it's become a must have. If interiors aren't a big deal to you, you will probably be fine without it. And if you upload lots of stuff to the workshop, that's another reason to avoid using it.
  22. It's very cute, but something is off. I don't like to criticize, but I think the station is too small. This is probably due to the trolly model being a little taller than the actual one, but the station doesn't look tall enough. And the red tiles are huge compared to real life. I found this photo which may help, if you decide to make any changes. Do you use the scaling mod? That may help with the roof. I told you I was going to be critical. 😋
