Thank you. The site went down when the domain was supposed to auto-renew but didin't, so a few posts got lost.

It looks like my posts of the Paleo Institute Fossil Hall got lost, so I'm re-posting them, as well as a few new shots. The tour will continue shortly...

So AI is watching my videos and understanding them, enough to write an accurate synopsis of them. I find this quite fascinating and at the same time, a bit scary.

The park's premier attraction, African Adventure, is well under construction. Originally planned as a 12 acre adventure across the African continent, it has now grown to over 16 acres. It's still quite a ways from completion. This gift cart sits outside the entrance. This is a workshop item. I rarely use workshop items as prominent features in my parks, but I liked this so much I had to add it to the park. After standing in a long line and then riding a long attraction, guests are bound to need to use the potty. These restrooms feature outdoor sinks, a newer trend in theme park restroom design. Next door is a small photo spot for the family to pose in front of a stone lion statue. Outdoor hand washing is a growing trend at theme parks today. (I've seen 2 already in recent theme park visits) Obligatory restroom interior screenshot. Aerial view of the African Adventure embarking area. The Animal World Emporium is on the right.
  5. Very odd. And now that I think of it, I'm not totally sure you need ForgeUtils for the SkyStudio version you must be using. There is a newer version that I know requires ForgeUtils (which broke after the last update). The older version of SkyStudio still works fine, with or without ForgeUtils. The perils of using mods when a game isn't fully developed.

It's probably because I barely use the text signs in the park. I replaced most of them with billboards when I started to have that problem much earlier on. Now the big problem is the lighting glitch, which is bad at night, but now also occurring during the day as well, as there is so much lighting used for the interiors. At this rate, Wonder World will look like a pixelated mess by the time I'm done.

The Astro Arcade is finished. I got several of the machines from the workshop, which I will note below. Pac Man machines are from the workshop. Jet-V machines are from the workshop, as are the pinball machines and ATM. Cosmic Coin Drop is from the workshop. Dance Dance Revolution is from the workshop. Space Racers are from the workshop, although I added the screens. A view from the "other" side.
  8. SkyStudio requires ForgeUtils. Forgot to ask if you had that one installed. If you didn't, maybe it causes problems having SkyStudio installed without it, though I would expect SkyStudio wouldn't work at all. Just trying to troubleshoot this.

Yep. I caught that one too, but didn't want to sound like a d**k by pointing out every little mistake you made. This is one reason I don't narrate my videos. 😁

Great video. I'll definitely be downloading this from the workshop so I can dissect, er, check out this amazing park. Wagi: The "Disable Lightning Flashing Effects" should be turned off, meaning that they are NOT disabled. Oh, and JP: The standard and widely accepted plural of "roof" is indeed "roofs". Rooves is no longer used today. 😁
  11. The SkyStudio mod causes the "game crashed" notification you're getting. I have the same mods installed that you have, so I'm stumped.
  12. I'm so relieved that we aren't planning the same exact thing. 😅 And no, it's not going in Wonder World.... 😏
  13. Oh no! I've been planning a recreation of this ride for years and finally decided I'm going to do it. I'm planning an exact recreation though. It sounds like you're plan is to create a new, modern version based on the old attraction. Hopefully we won't be stepping on each others toes.
  14. I don't see any red flags in that configuration. How about your hard drive. Is it an SSD? It's highly recommended.
  15. Do you work with the game paused? What kind of PC do you have? What graphics card?

The old locker rental machine, before the scaling mod. after the scaling mod

If you're using video editing software to create your videos, many have the capability of adding effects. I added the lightning bolt in Wonder World Episode 1 this way. And I used AI to create the lightning bolts in WW Ep 4. Yes, it's a bit of work, but very doable if you really want them in your video.

I remember there being a problem with lightning and Skymod, which I brought to the attention of the mod maker. I'm not sure if anything came of that. Even without the mod, seeing actual lightning bolts was very rare and seemed to only occur when it was the darkest. I haven't touched lightning storms since. Maybe you need tall rides to attract the bolts, but I really don't know.

No fair posting these dark, nighttime shots where we can barely see those beautiful details that are a staple of your parks. Looking forward to seeing more of this area...in the daytime! 😜

Nope. The blocks where created with the, er, blocks that were in the Toy Box set. Only they were giant and mostly useless. The wooden train set is an object in itself, also from the Toy Box set.

Yes. I finally gave in and started using the scaling mod. It's allowed me to fix all the little things that have been bugging me as well as opened up a huge number of objects I can sell in my gift shops now. So many objects have become useable in this game that weren't before, due to their being too large. It's like I've gotten a new DLC with 100's of new objects! About the Sci-Fi set, I think there is one object I used from that set in the screenshot above. But I am using it more on the interiors of a certain, upcoming attraction.

The Spaceport area has gotten a facelift, adding a little more detail to the exterior of the buildings. Oh, and Mr. Wonder bought a set of blocks for the children's center.

It was a beautiful day at the Safari Park.
  24. shyguy replied to shyguy's topic in Projects
Just a couple backstage shots... Now, I'm off to San Diego Zoo Safari Park for ideas and inspiration.
  25. shyguy replied to shyguy's topic in Projects
Wonder's getting real nit-picky about many details in and around the Spaceport. The restroom signs have been replaced with ones not so elongated. The same with ALL the "Staff Only" signs scattered throughout the entire park. (The circle is no longer an oval) Wonder insisted on replacing all the restroom faucets with "touchless" ones. I promise I'll have much more impressive updates to show very soon.
