Love the village and all the variety in building shapes and colors, it's like the zoo version of Main Street ❤️

Security: [stepping back from Wanda] You can just go right in, ma'am. Wanda: Is that because Mr. Wonder is my brother? Security: Um, no. Love all the infrastructure details and totally appreciate the patience it takes doing pavement markings and colored curbs like the fire zone. As I haven't been to any parks in a decade (or two...) Is the security checkpoint standard for most parks now? If so I think I've got some detailing (and possibly complete entrance redesign) work to do...
  3. I need to be paying much more attention to the RCT3 board. This is incredible. Can't imagine the time it took, both in-game and editing. My mind is blown.

Congrats on your awards! Very glad you found your way to this site so even more people could be inspired by your brilliant creativity.

Congrats on this award winning project, along with your multitude of well deserved honors. I agree with the academy's choice for all of them!

Thanks all! It's very high praise considering all of the talent around here. And thanks @wolfpaw for all you do. And I'd also like to thank -- shit, it seems the band is already playing me off.

It doesn't seem that the workshop games are causing you any LOD issues with your signs. When I use any of them signs all over my park turn blurry. Looks great, I'm seeing a lot of variety in games (and decor) without repetition. There is visual interest in all directions. Well done.

    See? English is hard.

JB: I'm glad the gift shop lighting turned out in the video, esp because in-game it was exactly as bright as I wanted it to be, but didn't photograph that way. I feel like the same thing happened with the candy store awhile back. Thanks for defending my workshop use, some things I have no problem with but I feel like I should at least be doing my own architecture... Shyguy: Feel free to point out the glaring (and even non-glaring) issues. It's not the biggest park I've ever built but after a year I think my eyes are immune to most of them, I usually only see mistakes AFTER I post them in a video. The internet agrees with you on roofs. It didn't sound right when I watched the footage in editing. Does prove my point that I clearly don't know the one language that I speak. After the whole video was rendered I also caught myself referring to frame-rates incorrectly, I kept saying it was low as if that was a good thing. High framerates are good, which I still somehow have. My guess is because the LOD's are such crap but if it lets me actually keep building like this I suppose I should accept that.

I bet that's affecting me too, I will check next time I'm in game, unfortunately I didn't catch this post before I did all my filming for this one. Thanks Wagi! JB: New flashlight batteries are in the mail. I'm sending extras in case you need to share them with the others.

@citytrader It's not published on the Nexus yet, still in testing but you can get it from this Discord server: https://discord.gg/coastersimsociety Once you're a member there I think I can send you a direct link to the thread that has the download, or just search on "SkyStudio" and it should take you there. I haven't filmed the gift shop yet but was just about to -- I'll see about boosting the lighting in there. The video is going to be dark overall but I need to make sure interiors can be seen. And thank you for the compliments!!

Thanks. This video kind of needs skymod so if that's the issue at least I know it now and won't waste time filming something that isn't going to happen; I think the modder behind Skymod hasn't been seen online since the mod first broke. (I realize how that sounds, me NEEDing a mod that we were all lucky to have in the first place and could just as easily have never happened. Remember in PC1 when we had the lightning bolt special effect? Lightning anywhere you wanted it, anytime you wanted it. [sigh.]

Neither of you are going to like this. Since we've seen this area once before and since this is really the only section in the entire park that has night lighting, (this is the new functional midway update, LOTS of lights were added for that), I was thinking about doing this video as a dusk/nighttime/rain/possibly thunderstorm thing... maybe I'll do the intro cinematics with the mood and gloom and then shoot the voiceover narration in some degree of daylight. There are a lot of new details in this area and I'd hate for any of them to be missed! On that note: @shyguy I knew you were experimenting with rain and thunderstorms before... I've been letting it run in thunderstorm mode for quite awhile and I'm not getting any lightning. Tried it with and without Skymod. Is there a trick to it? Only happen at certain times of day maybe?

Yep, getting ready to film video 9. Yep, going back to SteampunkLandia. The last 3 vids found the algorithm and I don't want to take any chances. When we first saw it in video 2, I ended that video by walking past an empty room that I mentioned might someday be a gift shop. Well someday is today, er, yesterday. Das Maus was first renamed to Wilde Maus (technically correct in German) then renamed again to Clockworx with some additional new theming on the inside. The vintage car ride was somewhat themed but quite poorly with no intention of ever showing any more of it in a video. For this one it has also been expanded and rethemed, I mean, it actually has a theme now. And the steamcars have canopy roofs. What started with just me converting some of the midway games into actual games that the peeps would interact with turned into a makeover of the entire land, just about everything got some level of renovation.

Guessing Mr. Wonder also bought a scaling mod, er, got one for free from the Nexus. 😜 For the first few weeks I could take it or leave it, and even left it uninstalled for awhile after I unknowingly saved the park before adjusting the config file. After using it for a few more weeks now I'm scaling things I had never even thought to scale before and I'm not sure I can live without it. Sounds like she has some big things planned for it coming up too, like scaling things that couldn't be scaled before. Liking the new edits to Wonder World. I'm grateful Frontier ported over that sci-fi set because I'm not sure we'd have ever gotten to see Wonder World in this game without it, at least not the way you envisioned it.
