  1. I don't know what to say that I haven't told you personnaly about this project of yours already. But glad you can finally share it in there for the wonderful people of this place to discover your amazing park!
  2. A Lot to talk about haha First of all thank you for the awards the park as won , I never expected you all to love this project so much , I'll try to continue this project to the same standards you guys voted for this project and try to go beyond that ❤️ Let's start with the Sulfuric Gorge , a western area with hydrothermal power in a crazy sulfuric landscape. The idea started with an idea to make another crazy landscape and then it became the idea for a western stuff So yeah wanted some terrain that are very contrasty with some very fiery colours for the terrain. And after making a mockup of the terrain , I started working on making some terrain and then started working. The first ride we have is PIPE MADNESS , a simple synchronise ride themed around pipes. What I'm really proud of with this terrain work is first , the abilities to still have trees to add some shade to this very crazy area , but the other main thing I'm proud of are the sulfuric pool (fake to avoid toxic gasses) all around the area! And now the second ride of the area is the Pressure Pump , a big drop ride that with some trigger magic , create some geysers has it drop! And now the last thing of this area : the planning of the rest! And I could stop there with showing some more planning of the sci-fi area next door BUT I made a lot of good progress in there aswell haha. Started mostly by doing some planning in the area but then WORKSHOP ISSUES! With those issue , the park wasn't available since it was a collab and didn't had the latest backup available (oops) So I was just scrolling randomly trough pinterest till I got inspired , and got inspired by A LAMP. Of course I took some creative liberty with my own spin on it , as I always do , but I had the perfect scifi rideskin for the Hellion Ring! Called in this park Molten Fyre The next day I was happy to finally have access to the file and did some planing and placed it in a place to create fun sightline (I love that view , let's start in chronological order ) After some path planning , I made the queue theming around the ride , a process that really pushed the build to another level! (And added a little statue of my character haha) And after that build , had a bit of fun digging a shop from a previous project : Adopt A Space Kraken. A little hat shop from my previous sci-fi project Nebula Adventura. The idea is simple , you go and buy a little squid hat that I call a space kraken XD It's a fun shop I love to have in a sci-fi area. And now let's go to the second flatride I made for this update , my favorite flatride of all time visually is the Orbitron in Disneyland Paris and so I made an orbitron inspired ride in all of my parks. The Orbiter in Nebula Adventura , my Potion shaker in the Queendom! And now Delta V , an orbiter ride heavily inspired by the Orbiter in Hong Kong Disneyland and the concepts art by Tim Delaney Really proud of the painted effect on the big planet! And now let's finish with some glamour shots and nights shots! And that's it for this bigger than expected update , next time I will probably work on the Darkride that has been sitting for month unfinished haha
  3. It's time for one of the biggest build of park that after some ideas as changed the direction of the park sightly , so I had started a gate toward the Cosmic Frontier , the sci-fi area were we will spend our time today. Before I talk about the new builds let's look at the indoor of that area gate. Made the room very simple , the only thing that will change in the future is that big line of checkered patern. It will become a giant pixelart mosaic representing the whole sci-fi area. (It will be 1134 individual pixels to change manually when the mosaic is done...) I then started to focus on the back , and with an idea I had for month and the help of a friend , I got convinced to go modded, I'm now using the No Track Limit mod for my projects going forward. And the back is a station for a working suspended monorail. Using the bus tracked ride with invisible track and the rail of a monorail (that was a pain to align haha). And that result in this! And now , to be able to talk about the view when coming from this building let's start to talk about the Cosmic Volcano A month after the launch of the game I had made the Discovery mountain , a space mountain inspired by original concept art from Tim Delaney and inspired by this incredible artist and since I loved making a Space Mountain once , let's do one but this time let's do my own concept art. Inspired by Delaney and also the unfinished look of the new Tokyo Space Mountain that is being built , I made this! Drawing over a shell I had done ingame to figure out the shape and size of my mountain. I didn't bother with lighting and all of that stuff that drawing was just to give me an idea of the look I wanted. Decided I would experiment more ingame with what we have. With that I started building and building , and after two day of hard work (and going late to bed because I spent way too much time those day in the game) this is what I have. There is still a lot of work to do at the bottom of the mountain to make it part of the land had all the guest level detail and all but I am so happy on how the build is turning out. The mountain is about 45-47 meter in height , now time for the beauty shots created by this metal volcano. I also really like that before entering the sci-fi area from the main entrance of the area you go trough a little area themed around flight , and now let's look at the first complete corner of this Cosmic Frontier. Since the flight themed area is not that intense in thrills , I wanted to stick to that for the entrance of the area. And the first ride in there one I wasn't expecting to have in my sci-fi land at first but with good theming fit like a glove , the Helter Skelter. Even if it's a simple slide it allow guest to have a nice view from the top of the slide and the tower help to frame the mountain. Beside the low intensity fit with what I had next to it. Speaking of what is next to it , the Planetary Golf. A simple minigolf . The idea was to have a rotating solar system but due to the limitation of the platform , I changed my mind haha. The golf is working in guest view thanks to some clever trick by GeelgroenBroccoli and YannBK who created the minigolf blueprint I used. And what I love with this minigolf is that since it's very simple in theming , you can still enjoy some Incredibles view from when golfing : That's it for me now , next time I will either continue to share more of this Cosmic Frontier or the Sulfuric Spring , the area I hinted at last time or the finished mainstreet with the finished darkride.
  4. Thanks I really want to have the family friendly vibe while still experimenting with some more thrilling ride , something between Disney and Europapark for how much thrills I want. It's really a fun experience to try and balance that ^^ Thanks ^^ I really want to have something magical and inspiring that still could be made with enough budget (if we don't think about the fact I have zero backstage XD) Now more progress : the arcade! I'll start by saying that this update is simply fantastic! Some great changes and fixes and the arcade had so much life too park it's an amazing feature and cannot wait to see what will Frontier do with that Entertainement tab ^^ So today didn't had much time in the past week so all I have is a brand new arcade in my mainstreet. Let's first start with the façade This spot in SolarOak city was empty for a while but then I knew I wanted an arcade as soon as the update got teased. Pretty quickly got the idea to have the tower with the rotating sign to cap the corner in a pretty nice way. It also connect with another bridge in a nice way to make the street look more narrow. For the interior I wanted to make the most kitsch floor possible to really fit the arcade. Then using some windows stickers , some lamps and more stickers I got an interior I got pretty happy with. All I needed was to place the Incredibles arcades machines! And to finish this update let's give you a little teaser for the next area of the park (even if I still have the mainstreet to finish XD)
  5. Congratulation on this spectacular screenshot!
  6. Yeah but don't worry just near one of the gates I added a fire department building XD Let's look at the rest the cardboard canyon as there's still a good bit to see. There's one last "island" in this area , leading to the coaster , a small plaza and a fun flatride. Let's start with the Plaza As you can see there also a splash pad that activate every day at 1pm for a few minutes (not doing it more for now to make sure I don't have too much particles and break the game in the long run of the park) Then the guest will have a choice : either ride Crafty Speeder , the LIM launch family coaster or a fun flatride , let's go there first!. The Scribbler so before I explain the theme let's go back in time to when the plaza and flatride didn't existed , it was only a gigantic queue for the coaster and it felt off... So after a while I decided to add the flatride as it fitted the perfect spot. I then added the plaza and also futur proofed the path to someday have an access to an extension/ new area if needed way forward in the future if I ever need it. Now the scribbler , got inspired by the movement to have scribble all over the area like the younger brother/sister of the one who created the canyon (TL:DR I was that younger sister once but my brother wasn't the most creative on that side haha) Then the coaster you're all lucky as I released the video way earlier by accident haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzOfwQH80p8 It come with a queue POV and then the coaster POV. I cannot thank my friend YannBK enough for helping me with advice to make this coaster the best I have ever made in the two games (and my first coaster with good stats all the way ^^) I really love that I managed to make the coaster integrated to the area instead of having it in one corner with little to no interaction with the rest of the area. After the coaster , it's time to do some shopping at the Racers Trinkets! Exiting the coaster , you'll have the chance to either get your ride photo and either go out or go into the shop! Since I'm always trying to improve my interior work with this park It was imperative for me that I make this shop very unique and for that beside some unique merch for this shop I added a diorama of the area to really bring everything together Don't forget to take a photo at the podium heh? Well let's go and take that photo then! The second dedicated photo spot of the park , this time a place were your kid can go on the podium with the racer near his car! And last shot from the area , the exterior of the giftshop! And to formally conclude this area let's go back to the entrance and add our first pixelart mosaic ! Next I would like to share the rest of the SolarOak city with some new building , the arcade , candy shop and the interior of the book shop. When will depend if we get the update today or on the last day of the month XD
  7. Time to wander out of SolarOak City and let's go to the Cardboard Canyon ! The idea of this area was "What if the Art & Craft side of the Toybox pack was used to it's fullest" It started with some trees made out of clay , icing and wood. Then got an idea to use the cardboard canyon as cliff , and it lead me to start building. This gate inside the mainstreet was inspired by the entrance of Rookburgh in Phantasialand , just before my trip last December , got the idea to have an area from the side of the mainstreet But instead of steampunk we have Cardboard punk? As you enter there's a little transitional area between the solarpunk city and the art&craft landscapes. This is the view you have as you enter the area! , I really wanted the guest to feel immersed but even with an area that is meant to look fake and made out of cardboard , clay , paper and toys , I needed and wanted to find a way to still have true nature inside the area with trees that look like twigs or have a simple tree shape to fit the area while still refreshing it all and adding some shades. Also real trees make the area more believable. The first ride of the area is the toy carousel Using very simple theming , I transformed this into a toy with the big rotating key and some simple wooden theming. Then next to it are the toilets , a simple building not meant to attract too much attention And after that a much more interesting site , the playground , again using my usual set but this time expanding it to fit around the trees to make it even more fun! All around this playground are some tables because there's a few food and drink option in the area most of them being little stand but the main one of the area is a returning brand from the depth of Planco1 : Monsieur Frites. Loved this brand and tried to remake the logo (themed around the area of course) . And It's time I talk about the custom papers falls with some tape , rotating platform and some true water effect to still make the air less dry. I created those waterfalls to feel as cartoony as possible and really bring the area to the next level! And it's time to reveal part of the area from above , with the rivers and waterfalls , the area is cutted into 4 "islands" The last island I shown is mostly for the unfinished coaster theming and the drop tower! Then the other main island leading to the hub and a future area is home to a giftshop (WIP) a ride themed around paint and one last attraction that I'll show in a bit I still need to find a name for this ride , all I have now is the theming. Lastly the last thing I'll show in this part 1 of the tour (as I still have a few things to finish including the coaster... The open air theatre , you all know that I love adding non functional entertainment and for this area. And so I made an open theatre , it fit the area perfectly , I can use some of the pieces I don't think I would have used otherwise. And for the name of the band it's a joke around Walt Disney that was made by Oakie Dokie games and had a good laugh together about it. That's all I have for today , will probably finish the area this month. Next it will probably be part 2 of the area and then I hope the arcade building since we should get an update this month haha
  8. Had some technical issue with making the video so instead I'm sharing the stream (we really went in details haha) so sharing it instead of the video , sorry for the inconvenience https://www.youtube.com/live/LSroXBi_Jzc
  9. Had a question (maybe a stupid one but I want to be sure). I just finished my Imagination Queendom last week , can I still share a screenshot for this project or should I share a picture for the other current project? I wouldn't want to be outside the rule for my first ParkScape Thanks in advance <3
  10. The Lost Reef It's time for the latest area of the park , what a Journey this park as been. The story of that area is that I got inspired to make an Aquatic Area because I think the Aquatic theme is the best new theme added in Planet Coaster 2 at launch. And so was inspired by the theme to play with the Coral pieces and the amazing reef rock. Tho I didn't wanted to follow how the game intend the Aquatic theme to be used. (If you want to see what the Aquatic theme would look like in a full area pushing the theme as intented to the limit go check Oakie Dokie's Aqualand : Workshop Code : 8TB4YLW44 I didn't want to do an Aqualand 2 , first because I helped Oakie by making the giant submarine in the area and secondly I wanted to challenge myself to not rely on the Submarine set and Aquatic colorful building for this area. Like all the land in the park , the Lost Reef as two entrance , one from the Hub and another between the Pirate Area and this one It took me a while to figure out the build style outside the nature of the area but then decided to go with an atlantis style of builds. It was a good excuse to use the mythology theme as intended haha. I really wanted with the terrain to immerse you as if you were underwater (of course without the water haha) The blue tint of the rock was at the same time a way to stray away from the purple aquatic rocks but also to dive more into the aquatic nature of the area. The first building you will see in the area is the sunken gift , the giftshop of the area. As you will see trough the area those giant sea shells made out of wooden block. Next it's the small restaurant , the Deep Delight , it's a simple building playing with the mythology style and one of those giant shell again for a sitting area. Then let's go to the first flatride of the area , the Big Dive , that flatride was perfect for the area that would soak you and give you a fun view of the area!. Then the neighbouring ride , the jelly fish frills. Then the other ride that look cool and fit with the manta kites but mostly the train station nested inside two giant shells. And the train is passing right behind ! And now the shooting ride , the one time I hallowed myself to use a submarine in the area ! The idea of the ride is that Sandy Reef with the help of the Sea Institute is teaching you how to clean a part of the lost reef. The idea of the net was suggested on stream and became a big visual for the progress of the ride. I love the ocean , coral reef , sharks! And so this ride was very important for me to make it. To be honest adding the trash inside the queue was interesting since it was finding a balance to have a beautiful ruined interior with the ugly trash all around. When making the ride section , especially the start , I felt so bad trashing a virtual reef with dead coral and make it look as dreadful as possible. The first room with the Sandy "Animatronic" is one of my favorite, being very reminiscent of the Buzz Lightyear ride in Disneyland Paris. Will only share the first scene of the ride (a POV will come soon as soon as I have a video ready haha) Instead I'm sharing the finished file today! Workshop code : 85ZKXYJ3Z Don't forget to share your highscore if you play the ride <3 A tour will be made live next Wednesday feel free to check it out https://www.youtube.com/live/LSroXBi_Jzc And if you miss it , I will record the live to have a video version without the long pause , technical issue if some happen and mostly chapters! Thanks for following the project, once that video is done I will share one last link to the two missing POV Thank you all for joining me at the end of this Journey <3
  11. The Sugary Canyon Last year I took part into a diorama contest and made a diorama all around a candy mountain with a giant gumball machine. The coaster was not good but I had a lot of fun with the theming especially since we didn't had the festive theme at the time so I had to be creative. And so for a while I had the idea on the back of my mind to once do this diorama justice and make it into a park area. But this time I had the Festive set with all the candy piece at my disposal! The area has 3 entrance 2 from the Painterly Grove and one from the Potion Trove. 2 of those entrance are train bridge. Before the area became the Sugary Canyon , I had the idea of a Vilainness land themed around Vesper and the fairy tale witch. Then the idea evolve into a dark toy area (a toy area but the toy of witch) and then finally I decided to redo the candy area as it fitted the rest of the park better. We will enter trough the gate near the Maze in the Painterly Grove. From this area you are greeted by a small plaza with some toilet , a milkshake fountain and a filler building. Then let's enjoy a hot coco before or after taking a ride in one of the first flatride of the area! Then the restaurant of the area , was inspired by those swirly red and white candy , and the restaurant even have an incredible view from the terrace where you can see the coaster and the landscaping of the area. Now let's go toward the rock candy forest , the other half of the area literally cut by a vanilla milkshake fountain. Time to go shopping inside the bonbon boutique , one of my favourite interior in the whole Queendom. You probably noticed I don't have much to say in this area because it's mostly playing with pieces and the theme of candy in creative way but instead of sharing what pieces did I use for the candy. I think it's more fun this time if I let you discover by yourself but of course I will still talk about some of my favourite details. Also some of the technique I used are recycled from the diorama. The other flatride of the area is the candy mining machine with a small eating area. I could find a very creative excuse why the ride is halfway trough the ground and made it a mining machine instead of a parachute ride. The truth is ... The ride was new but way too big for the skyline of my park XD There's one detail I love about the little food building and it's the chocolate building is melting about the flaming marshmallow And then the coaster (No POV yet I'm sorry haha , will share a link once I have a video with the ride in it) The coaster is one of the ingame blueprint completely rethemed to fit the area with a bigger queue compared to the diorama and some custom themed minecart train. Like I said the whole area is an extension of the diorama , at the end of the coaster of course there's a little giftshop were you can get your ride photos At the time of making the post , the Queendom is finished and I have one last area to share : the Lost Reef. (Will show it tomorrow , or on sunday) I realize that since I started so far into the process of the area , I mostly shared one area after the other. Do not worry for Fancyful Oak since the project is more indepth and being creating at about the same time I'm making those forum post , the post in there will be way more organic. The latest park release with this area and well the complete park will be release next Wednesday on the same day I do the tour on the park live with a good friend of mine. On the meantime like I said will share the Lost Reef and the mission pov soon.
  12. Hello everyone , a few weeks ago I asked you all if you would be okay if I can ask a few questions for my master thesis. Now it's time I ask them haha. For context I'm a 24 year old student at an Academia of Fine Arts in Belgium. To be specific I'm in the Numerical Arts section of that school doing my second year for my master degree. For my master thesis I wanted to try to understand why people create in digital media and why it matter. Just below I will share a list of question (some specific to RCT3). If there's some question you don't want to answer to please precise it. Thank you in advance for all of you who will answer to those question. -For how long have you been creating trough games ? -Do you create trough other form (traditional medium , digital drawing , gamedev etc...) if yes can you please precise it? -Do you consider your creation inside those game to be art? why? -Why do you create trough those games ? -You share your creation trough forums why is that? -Do you consider the game you're creating with a game or more like an engine / another creative software? RCT3 ONLY : -Why are you using a 22 years old game when more modern alternative exist? -The game has an expansive list of mods and custom assets , does the original game still impact your creation or as it just become a simple base to use all of those assets? -From what I understand some of you even create custom assets in the game can you explain your creative workflow? -Some of you have been very influential in the modern park tycoon game trough your mods/creations. Would you like to share your tough on it?
  13. The wood border along the rapids is very nice! Really add to the cosiness of your park and the Stuff Hut is a fun name for a shop haha
