A lot of the time I use images from Google to give me ideas. For Wonder World, I'm using my earlier builds as reference. And lately, using AI to help me create images to reference when I just can't come up with a design I like on my own.. "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
April 3Apr 3 I also recently lost (just a couple) subscribers in the last week after a video that did fairly well by my low performance standards (almost 900 views.) YouTube likes Rapids rides and Steampunk but hates everything else about my park. I'm guessing it's AI that determines whether or not a video contains AI, which makes me wonder what specifically they are looking for to punish people like this. There's videos to explain the algorithm that keep popping up in my feed, so maybe YouTube is trying to tell me something with that. Not sure that I care.Back to you, this is looking SO good and you are just getting started. Been looking forward to this build and it's already exceeding all my memories from the last one. You should show WIP pics more often, these are fascinating (and better than most people's finished pictures) 😉

This will be the 4th time I've built this ride, and honestly I wasn't looking forward to doing it again. Each version has been vastly different from the previous one, and I was having a difficult time coming up with a new idea. But I've decided this will be similar to the PC1 version but with vast improvements and a completely different ending. Now, if I can just get its excitement level over 2.0 so that a few guests will actually want to ride it...A little concept art tease... "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)

May 3May 3 Author HUGE UPDATE !!!There's a new Pepsi machine in the Baby Center. The original Pepsi machineThe second Pepsi machineAnd now, the new Pepsi machine! (But probably not the last) Seriously, I'm not obsessed with the Pepsi machine. I just found this excellent blueprint on the workshop by Josh#51010. He's created some superb stuff, including many arcade machines before we got the real ones. His are so good, that if you're building an arcade, you'll want to have a mix of his along with Frontier's.And also, while we're at the Baby Center, even Scooter is questioning the choice of this poster. So I've replaced the old cheap AI slop image for a more expensive AI slop image. Well, Scooter likes it anyway... "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
May 4May 4 I kind of like the original baby care sign! To each his own! That latest Pepsi machine looks like it came out of a 1950's store! 🤣
May 4May 4 "There's a new Pepsi machine in the Baby Center." WOW! This changes everything!!! Now I'm gonna have to go back and look through this thread from the beginning, with this new info in mind. The new Baby Care image reminds me of the newborn Star Child at the end of 2001: A Space Odyssey.

But I thought the original looked too cartoony and didn't really fit the style of the land.1 hour ago, citytrader said:That latest Pepsi machine looks like it came out of a 1950's store! 🤣You're right. I actually didn't realize this was based on a vintage model. I should do more research before I hastliy make such a big change. 😉I suppose I'll have to replace it once again... 🙃 Edited May 4May 4 by shyguy "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
May 10May 10 Mr. Wonder seems shrewd enough to not throw money down for fancy new vending machines that most guests will never see. Those old machines were built to last, after all and personally I love me some nostalgia. On the baby debate, put me down for the Poster 1 camp. It's got more charm and an art style that did not bring AI slop to my mind at all. Have you started on the arcade yet? (Asking for myself.) 😉
May 10May 10 I agree with JPTV - Wonder wouldn't rent vending machines from the distributor - he'd buy second hand ones that still work from a scrapyard. Any of them are fine as far as guests care I'd think. But the $1.50 price for a can of soda at a Wonder resort just isn't realistic. He'd more likely charge twice that or more, and tack on a 'nostalgia tariff' on top just for the vending machine.
May 10May 10 Nice implementation of the Pepsi machine, looks very nice! I think the collaboration with Pepsi is very good for Wonder World.

May 11May 11 I absolutely love Mr. Wonder's character, and I just died laughing at these: there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
May 11May 11 LOL! Love it!We actually have an old cleaning rag still hanging around that's the remains of the t-shirt with the TPS logo that we finally got for backing it - most useful thing from that entire game.Wanda should suggest a set of prize shot glasses with her face on them. You can just use quart-sized glassware...
May 11May 11 haha, I saw the prize counter photos this morning and almost came back to edit my last post. I have to admit to missing the TPS joke until jAsh pointed it out
May 14May 14 Author So, Wonder ordered a new Baby Center poster made, changing the art style a tad to lighten it up. I think it's a fair compromise. "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
May 14May 14 Well, Wonder doesn't do "cutesy" very well, neither does Wanda, so obviously they had an outsider with actual paternal/maternal instincts come up with something... I like it. Which means Wonder probably hates it, but already paid for it.
May 14May 14 That sign for TPS should say "We pay you!"I never even got the T-shirt, let alone having my flat ride in the game!!!The sign looks great!
May 16May 16 Author Wonder's getting real nit-picky about many details in and around the Spaceport. The restroom signs have been replaced with ones not so elongated. The same with ALL the "Staff Only" signs scattered throughout the entire park. (The circle is no longer an oval)Wonder insisted on replacing all the restroom faucets with "touchless" ones. I promise I'll have much more impressive updates to show very soon.
