  1. Excellent video and coaster! I love the use of elevation to enhance the feeling of speed, but (if I may be so bold) it would come off a bit better if you reduced the launch speed a tad. You shove out so fast you miss a lot. Not in any way a gripe or anything, just a suggestion! :^Þ Great job! Love it!
  2. I love the themed areas, but could really use a pulled back view to see the whole park and how it all fits together. Keep it coming!
  3. Best of luck to you and your father. I'll say a prayer for you both. --,-'-@ <3 <3 <3
  4. Honestly, I prefer reading about the park with great stills and maybe a POV video at the end. @PS Vision Gaming's Salland's Adventure Zoo writeups are just about perfect. If they went into even more detail describing the park as you watch it take shape, it couldn't be any better. I also like "in universe" details... history of the park... rides that once brought in crowds that were torn out or re-theamed because the public lost interest... etc. It's immersive and really grabs your imagination. Very rarely will I download someone else's parks... usually because once I've seen it, there's not much else to do with it. (unless the write-up isn't that detailed... in which case I probably won't download it because I haven't seen enough) All in all, I just love looking at what people think of to do that hasn't been done a million times before. That's the beauty of games like RCT and PC... there are almost no limits. Hope that helps. :^þ
  5. I use Shyguy's Main Street sets all the time without any issues, so it's more likely some other issue. (possibly an issue with combinations of mods that includes Shyguy's Main Street sets) Just FYI. :^Þ
  6. I use StationJim's stuff all the time. They're probably my most used CS sets in all of RCT3. (those along with Shyguy's Planters) High quality models without overdoing it with a high degree of reusability in a wide variety of situations.
  7. Absolutely agree! It was just something I'd noticed and was curious about, why people do the things they do. I'm mostly thinking of content creators. Comments are always better with actual conversation taking place, but Reactions are how people get extra kudos like "Winning the day" which makes people feel appreciated for their contributions to the site. I'm not saying that people should change their behavior here, just wondering about the why of it all. (call it feminine curiosity if you like :^þ )
  8. Been away a week or so while I was helping my older son move into his new apartment. There were a bunch of new comments I had to catch up on. In the process, I realized something. Many times members left good comments about a post, but didn't leave a Reaction to the post. Reactions are not being used as often as I feel they should be, especially when someone posts up something really good that gets lots of positive comments and yet has almost no Reactions. This feature is a great boost to content creators that drive site activity, takes almost no effort, and yet seems highly underutilized here. I make it a point to React to every post I read that I like, especially when it adds content to the site. An open question to all members: If you don't leave Reactions every time you read a post you like, why not?

That drone seems to have hit a guy's head on the 1st fly-through. I'm surprised it didn't knock the drone out of the air. :^þ Seriously though, I really love your layout! First rate!
  10. You already have a lot of the ones I would mention. Here are a few I didn't see: - The original opening scene shown in the Coming Soon ads showed an attractor similar to RCT2. This was replaced in the release version to a slideshow. - Baby animals inherit their parent's Social stat. (i.e. if you have a pregnant lioness with an 11 Social, all her babies will have an 11 too) - All of the OVL files in the game can be edited to change an object's stats, except for Style\Vanilla\Style.common.ovl and Style\Vanilla\Style.unique.ovl that contain the original flat rides. These files are protected by a checksum and if they are altered in any way the game will refuse to launch. The expansion pack flat rides and all tracked rides and scenery lack any sort of checksum. It's unknown why Frontier locked only these two files to prevent editing them. Hope that helps. :^)
  11. Welcome to the site, @cookiecrispwizard! I'm loving your progress on Great Adventure and would love to see more from you soon!
  12. I feel so betrayed! Here I was thinking that you were crafting all this in the game... and now it comes out that you're just taking photos of a construction site and using Photoshop to make it look like a game! The anger! The angst! The... ... Oh. I misunderstood? ... Nevermind! :^Þ
  13. Long before texting and the Internet, people used to communicate by making noises with their mouth. For a brief time in history people used primitive phones wired to the wall to make these noises at each other. They called it "phoning". A truly impressive amount of (mis)information was spread this way. The More You Know... / ͡ * :^þ
  14. Welcome to the site! Agreed with @wolfpaw, excellent job with your video and looking forward to seeing your future endeavors! :^)

Sorry... that was supposed to be a joke. You cram so many details into your parks I thought it would be funny. Alas, as usual, it flopped. Apologies, @Wowman. I was in no way criticising your work. You're far and away a better artist than I. (which itself is not much of a complement since there are school-aged children that are better artists than myself)

    Needs more tables. :^þ

The theming is great, but the walkways look too dark without any lighting. Is that not an option in PZ? If you can, you should add some street lights, even if it's just a little. I think it would add a lot to the setting to make it look more real. Either way, I'm loving the progress! Can't wait to see more!
  18. I second this! I can't even imagine what the state of RCT3 would be without this place! So much of the game's history and custom content would be lost with the closing of Shyguy's World it's unfathomable! Thanks millions, @wolfpaw for giving us all a new place to call home!
  19. Indeed, welcome to the new home for wayward RCT players! I look forward to seeing you around. :^)
  20. Thanks for the feedback, @JB! What I'm wondering most though is, "Does each ride need this much detail? Do I need to hunt down every variable that can be identified or should I just focus on the easily obtained data to get through it faster?" Each of the 3 rides in my first version of the Index of Tracked Ride Data took 2 days to find. Given the fact that there are 53 more Tracked Rides and 65 Coasters, that's 8 months of work before it's complete. (likely much longer since I can't devote 85% of my time to this task for that long like I did over the past week) What I'm thinking of doing is just get the most critical data for each ride which takes much less time. For example, focus on getting the Reliability, Display Price, Peep Attractiveness, Entry Fee, Running Cost, and essential stat data... letting things like Price per Segment and complex stat data go by the wayside unless specifically requested. Basically trying to keep the data down to 1 or 2 lines per ride instead of 2-7 lines as seen in my 3 completed examples. I guess what it comes down to is this question: "Is a totally complete data set actually useful to anyone or is it just button sorting?" Thanks again for the comment! :^)
  21. I just posted up the first early version of the Index of Tracked Ride Data. It only has 3 rides so far, but before I do more I'd like to get some feedback. The data provided on these first few tracked rides is as complete as I can manage, however it took an entire week just to get these 3 rides. Is the completeness of data to this degree worth the time it will take to put it out or is it overkill and I should just focus on the most important data to get it out sooner? Comments, criticisms, and opinions are greatly appreciated!
