m00nkinftw
Hey everyone and welcome to my thread about all of the things I create in RCT3! Here you can follow my progress of builds, check out screenshots and videos of completed builds and also perhaps some teasers for new creations. Enjoy the creations and let me know what you think! I'm currently getting the hang of a brand new CT that adds a ton of new track pieces tot the already existing looping coaster. It's so many that in fact I had a hard time to decide what to begin with. A mega coaster using those smooth overbanked turns? A eurofighter style coaster with that vertical lift hill and crazy inversions? An RMC based coaster? Well first off I decided to build a pretty simple but nice mega coaster, here are some pictures. Here's the layout of the coaster with some custom supports made with Moby's Steel Jungle. I already kind of figured out how the pathing will be, but here I haven't used Beastie's Path Mods yet to make it a lot more smooth: Here's a picture of when the coaster is almost done. I decided to go for red track and white supports in terms of color scheme. This first air time hill which kind of resembles a stengel dive is pretty wild if you ask me. A nice picture that really shows off the very smooth overbanked turns that come with this CT And for now a nice picture of the lift hill in the evening. There's still a little bit of work to be done so I'll post the finished results soon. wolfpaw
Love that layout, especially that section you have under the main lift hill (not sure what it's called, I'm not super well-versed in coaster terminology). Scenery surrounding the coaster also looks fantastic, beautiful job so far! 1 Quote there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
m00nkinftw
Thanks! Yeah my coaster terminology also isn't the best, the fact that English isn't my native language also doesn't help lol. I finished off the design yesterday so I'll try to post some picutres today if I have some time
m00nkinftw
It's done! I'm happy with the way it turned out and it's a great start on mastering these new types of coasters Edited August 18 by m00nkinftw
wolfpaw
Love the layout, looks like a REAL fun ride to go on! 1 Quote there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
m00nkinftw
Another creation done! This time I wanted to create an old school super looper with an American themeing: The All American Super Looper! I'm kind of slow with posting here since it's both YouTube and Reddit where I also post my designs, so after this post I'll share some work with a current project that I'm working on. Anyway, here are some pictures! The first part of the roller coaster has those old school boxy girder supports and it reminds me a lot of Vortex. Ride overview: The main attraction: Two giant loopings! There's also a stairway so the guests can walk in between the loopings and below there's a tunnel with mist that the train storms through: A fast turnaround element here, almost resembling a tilted loop: And the final section; A large helix, an overbanked turn and a few banked turns before it hits the brake run: And a cool picture of the first part, that beginning drop is no joke!
m00nkinftw
And now for the current project I'm working on with the new coaster type I discovered recently. This one will be more extensive though since I'm getting more and more acquainted with this coaster type. The beginning really resembles Sea World Orlando's Kraken; A big looping, an immelman, a zero-g roll, a cobra roll and then into the brake run: After that I put my own twist on this ride with two corkscrews that both travel over the path, though the 2nd one uses that unique diagonal corkscrew that only this coaster type has. I also like this improvised support for the 2nd corkscrew, as well as it being below ground level with rocks and mist: Right after we have a series of overbanked turns to kind of resemble a tilted loop: And that's all for now, I'll finish up this design very soon and after this I'll give the 'Blue Fire' CTR a try. I'm having heaps of and there's just so many cool things to create with these new coaster types that I have a bunch of other ideas lined up as well.
RCT3fan23
These are awesome! I love the nod to Kraken! Beautiful layouts!
m00nkinftw
Hello again! The Kraken-inspired roller coaster is done! Because I really wanted to put in some effort into this ride I made a while park around the roller coaster with shops, stalls, multiple walking routes and ofcourse other rides. Here's a quick overview of what it is right now: Here's the first part of the coaster; A big looping, an immelman, a zero-g roller, then a cobra roll and then it goes into the MCB...just like Kraken! An overview of the cobra roll, I hope it shows that there's a good amount of detail when it comes to the custom supports, especially beacuse these unique track pieces aren't compatible with most of my pre-made designs so I have to build everything from scratch. One of my favourite parts of the ride; The track goes from a 90 degree banked turn straight down below ground level and then the train soars through a large corkscrew that ends up diagonal, again because of the extended track pieces. The added mist effect really enhances the ride experience. A little later the same effect takes place, except here the train dives under the station And finally a bit of an overview of the final part of the coaster. It ends with a few fast turns and then into the final brake run. All in all I'd say that when it comes to the track design, this has to be one of my favourite designs I've ever made. I'll try to make a YouTube video that incldudes the POV tomorrow so you can enjoy the ride first-hand. For now a huge thanks to Kablary for making this awesome coaster available with so many new track pieces! m00nkinftw
Here's a sneak preview of my latest project; I'm using the Blue Fire CT that also has a ton of extra track pieces. It's a launched coaster that's going to be fast, intense with tons of inversions and transitions. I'm also going to use a lot of terrain modifications to make it more of a landscape coaster.
m00nkinftw
Here's an update of my latest project, one that will be one of my most time consuming projects ever. All of the terraforming has been done so everything has smooth edges. Because this Blue Fire coaster also has a lot of unique pieces, it meant that pretty much every single support has to be build piece by piece as my pre-made supports don't fit most of the time. I've already done a decent amount and kind of figured out where I want the pathing to be but there's still lots of work to be done.
m00nkinftw
Here's another update. It's the first time that I'm really putting a lot of time and effort into working with Weber's Foliage set. It's really nice for creating some awesome terrain coasters, so I decided to built exactly that as I'm going through this project. Here's some of the progress I've made:

m00nkinftw
Get ready for a brand new project! This time I'm attempting to build a giant hypercoaster with the Blue Fire CT, the layout is already done and since it's such a big coaster I decided to decorate it with a small park to make sure it's not just a buch of trees and nothing else. Stay tuned!
m00nkinftw
Quick update; I signed up for the RCT3 20th Anniversary competition which also allows 0 custom scenery, so the project above is on hold and instead I'm making something new for the competition. Here's a sneak peek :)

I know you made some sweet designs in the past so you should give us all a good run for our money! Edit: nevermind, saw your post. Good luck and I can't wait to see what you're cooking up! m00nkinftw
Big update! Since I just posted my entry for the RCT3 20th Anniversary Competition, I decided to share with you guys some screenshots of the whole process. It started with one idea: A dueling wooden launch coaster, so I started with just the launch and the two tracks. Now before the launch I already wanted the coasters to duel a bit, but that meant building everything backwards and many changes to the layout before the trains would finally line up next to eachother when they reached the launch. A bit further into the build, now the focus is trying to figure out how I want these two coasters to continue their route after the initial launch and that big airtime hill. The layout is done! Just like the section before the launch, the section afterwards took many changes and redesigns so the trains would always be close together. Added some colour to the coasters, and started terraforming. I'm a sucker for tunnels and caves with that mist effect so I had to put on here as well. A bit further down the line and I figured out the pathing on this map. As you can see there's a pier next to the launch where guests can watch the two coasters, and next to the stations and building a castle/fortress for some extra flavour. Building the small village on top of the hill next to the station, once again using only stock items from the paradise and pirate themeing. The top part being almost done, I used some standard textures to kind of mimmick a mix between sand, dirt and grass. Also the palm trees really help in making this tropical type of theme come alive. Now at the entrance of the park, I wanted to build a couple of flat rides to make sure the dueling coasters are accompanied by some other attractions. And just like the small village on top, everything is accompanied by palm trees, a mix of textures, fences and a bunch of other stuff like benches, bins, food stalls, drink stalls...you name it! Also added a small junior coaster, again with no custom supports or anything. I had this cool idea of having a small island in the middle of the lake with an outpost or something, and it was a bit of a challenge to add some rocks here and there as normally I would use Shyguy's Rock set or Weber's Foliage set for this...but all that is not allowed, so I used whatever stock rocks and boulders there were in the game. Getting closer and closer to completing the design. Almost done, just a few more things! And there we go, it's all done! Hope you guys enjoyed this 'making of' slideshow of my entry. Again good luck to everyone else who is participating!
wolfpaw
Wow your layouts are gorgeous and your screenshot skills are exceptional too! The coaster you've made for the competition is beautiful, love how it goes over the water with that island in the middle - it's going to be tough to beat! 1 Quote there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Though honestly some of the creations I've seen recently make me go 'Damn, I thought I was good but this is on another level!'. I honestly don't expect at all to win, I'm here to have fun and see what people can cook up without using any custom scenery which by the way is an awesome spin to the contest! Us RCT3 'veterans' are so used to custom scenery that it almost feels like we can't make anything without it
m00nkinftw
Quick update on the 'Blue Fire' type hypercoaster! I've installed a few more rides around the hyper coaster to fill up the space a bit more, as well as completely most of the work on the supports. The color scheme will be green track with blue supports. Also did most of the pathing with Beastie's Path mods. Few more thigns to do but it's coming together quite nicely!
m00nkinftw
Here it is, the finished product! Went a bit wild again with the editing but I'm genuinely proud of this one. Perhaps not as crazy in terms of enviromental detail as ENIGMA, but in terms of track its fast, wild and intense. Hope you guys enjoy the ride on Towering Behemoth!

m00nkinftw
Time for a brand new project! I've decided to use the expanded looping coaster set and build a multi launch coaster. The more I use this coaster type, the better I get to make something with a lot of flow and is smooth to ride. It took quite a bit of trial and error but I'm happy with this layout: Edited September 21 by m00nkinftw
m00nkinftw
I've had some time to work on my latest project, so here's a quick update! All of the rough edges in regards to the terrain have been smoothed out, and I already started work on the custom supports. Because this once again uses a lot of those custom pieces, it also means building all the supports will be very time consuming as barely any of my pre-made support designs fit. No problem though as I just take my time with every build. I decided to go for a purple track and black support combination, which I really like. I also added some tunnels using Pteri's Tunnel set, as well as some fog generators for some parts of the coaster. Hope you guys like the work so far and I'll try to work on in a bit in the next few days.
