Celebrating 7 years of the place where dreams become a reality! Guests were let in today for the first time in forever to see what Walt Disney Imagineering is cooking up for the latest iteration of the park. Many popular attractions are still under development, but the magic is calling.

Creations Resort now open!

Press Release: July 5-7 join us for the Discover Expo! Learn what is coming soon to World Of Discovery and get previews of what is currently under development for Discover Parks and Resorts. Expo guests will need to pick up their badges at one of the ticket booths at the main entrance to World Of Discovery. Included are food and beverage lanyards as well as the event lanyard for after-hours events at the park. On July 5, come and enjoy the park and newly opened resorts as a kickoff to the event. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided at multiple kiosks for guests attending the expo. This will be an opportunity for guests of the event to socialize and get pumped up for the Discover Expo. July 6 will be announcement day! This is where we will announce and possibly tease the new additions as well as provide updates on what has been under construction at World Of Discovery and nearby resort areas. Guests will gather in the conference rooms at the Innovations Resort for the event. July 7 will be the final day of the event and will culminate with the after-hours event. We have a very special moment planned for the evening that will showcase something that is planned for the 20th anniversary of RCT3 and celebrating the results from the ParkCrafters Awards last month.

3 awards won tonight!!!! Thank you everyone for voting in the ParkCrafters Awards! The three categories this project won are very shocking to me because they are pretty large categories! There were a lot of amazing nominees that I am a huge fan of and a lot of veteran creators. The categories as seen in the quick posts above are: RCT3 Project Of The Year Park Of The Year People's Choice Award In honor of the big occasion, I would like to share that a sister park is in the planning phases for this project. It is going to be a mixture of themes with a larger central theme. It will encompass many concepts and will be another test of RCT3 limits. Again thank you for the amazing honor of winning these awards for this project, I am excited to continue the project for a really long time.

World Of Discovery won the award for Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Project Of The Year!!!!!!

Welcome to World Of Discovery! Tonight is a special event and the 1 year anniversary of this project being posted. I am currently at the social hour going on before the big awards! They were letting guests stay at the entrance as most of the festivities are in World Exposition. Of course, ParkCrafters colored banners to greet guests of the event. The barges are ready for the 8 PM awards and pre-show tag for World Of Discovery. It is a great gathering of sorts 😉

Congrats to everyone for making this community a very active and growing community. @wolfpaw you quickly made it with the closure of SGW and I along with everyone here would like to say thank you for your efforts that have turned into something awesome! Keep the thrills coming everyone!

Would you be shocked that I used to put Mission Space in old versions of my Disney kingdom parks when I was a kid? Now I just have a much larger and better building. Thank you! You too!

I might test some out. The old Main Street had maybe one or two. I have the same dilemma, I can also use crowd control as an excuse 🤔.

Happy Monday everyone! Today I walked through Main Street and decided to get my camera out to do a brief update. Much of the park is under heavy development, but most of Main Street is complete. Some sections of the hub still need fencing and finishing touches. As always, the entrance looks ready for guests. This project has had roughly the same version of the entrance since its beginning in 2017. Once your magic band is scanned, the magic begins with multiple themed lands and many experiences. This quote is true for the Disney kingdom parks and this one is no exception. In this version of the project, Main Street is much much larger! I am still finding traces of the old Main Street and hub. There are thoughts of bringing back the Main Street Theater at some point to continue featuring Mickey And The Magician, but the location has not been decided. Very little has changed with the mock-train station. Lots of different buildings have been added to this version of Main Street. The refurbishment of Main Street is heavily inspired by Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Paris and Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World. The refurbishment also brought the trolley tracks for potential entertainment offerings and other enhancements that contribute to the energy guests will see as soon as they walk into the park. As always, you look down Main Street and see Cinderella Castle off in the distance. Looking back as you reach the hub, the scale of this version of Main Street makes the previous seem like nothing. Reaching Cinderella Castle, the other lands welcome guests, but they are under development as new ideas are coming and going. ANNOUNCEMENT: This project has been nominated for the first ever Park Crafters Awards! The nomination is for the People's Choice Award. The sister park Disney's Hollywood Studios has been nominated for the People's Choice and Best Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Project awards! I started Disneyland Park in 2017 and quickly jumped on to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Both came after the success of World Of Discovery and all three projects have seen so many changes in the years since. Disneyland Park is being redeveloped to include many creations by members here at ParkCrafters, much have been wishlist items for years! I am very excited for the awards this week and I am ready to share more of what I have been plotting. This project is a fun one and has adapted to what Walt Disney Imagineering has been working on and shares to the general public, so this is definitely a tribute to their work that has inspired myself and many of us here. Happy Monday everyone! May is flying by, and we got some big events coming up for World Of Discovery. This Friday, May 24th is the opening of our newest resort, the Innovations Resort! This opening will be the catalyst for more developments that are being thought up as this will begin the transition into the Discover Parks and Resorts franchise. There are some big plans for the upcoming years that are already being cooked up and I am excited to reveal them later this year for the 20th anniversary of RCT3! The next BIG event is the ParkCrafters Awards! This event takes place on May 30th, and I am sure many of you are aware that this coincides with the 1-year anniversary of this community. The staff worked hard to go through all projects that met certain requirements and I am super excited to say that World Of Discovery has been nominated for 3 awards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This project was nominated for the following categories: People's Choice Award Park Of The Year Award Best Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 Project Award I will say this is a huge honor as this is the first time I have gotten nominated for any awards within the theme park gaming community. This project I started in 2016 as a freshman in college with it including many concepts that I dreamed up years prior. I was a lurker at the time, hoarding custom content and using in-game trees, no path covers, curveless paths, and other things I would cringe at these days. The project was first posted on ShyGuysWorld and on TheCreatorsLounge and was almost an Epcot clone on a low budget. It then quickly evolved when @wolfpaw and@StickyGum32 got involved after my many many requests. Sorry not sorry 😉, but I also want to thank @Kablary and @Wilhelm1407 for being part of the staff that put this project in these categories as well. I hated nominating myself, but we all had to do it because boss told us to 😜. It is going to be a fun event and I am looking forward to seeing as many members participate in the awards. But most of all, thank you for the opportunity to be nominated for this project (and my two Disney parks), this was the first project I have publicly shared and the first one I moved to this community. Back to World Of Discovery, for the awards we have a pretty good agenda to celebrate the big occasion. The park will be streaming the awards using the barges in the World Exposition Lagoon. Event guests are encouraged to reserve rooms at the Innovations Resort as a fair number of rooms are being set for the event. Guests will receive complimentary admission, food & beverages, and admission to the awards until the end of the afterparty. May 30 Schedule: Park hours: 9 AM - 4 PM Event guests can check in starting at 3 PM. Social gathering 6 PM - 7:45 PM Awards begin at 8 PM. Afterparty begins at the conclusion of the awards and lasts until midnight. Discover showing at 11 PM.
