Community Chat 23: Summer Heat & Plans
I am just west of Panama City. There is not much here 🤣. Orlando in the summer is no joke, last year I went at the start of June and quickly learned how to hop from gift shop to gift shop. Epic Universe was a learning experience, thankfully I was in the air conditioning through most of the heat with the Ministry queue. Aside from park crafting in the air conditioning and working full time, the pool screams my name!

It has been a bit since I have made a community chat topic. How are you beating the summer heat? Any fun summer plans?

Endless Summer Water Park: Big Parking Lot = Big Dreams
"This way to an endless summer," the sign read when the Conch family decided to stop by to check the progress on the water park. The sign was created by the contractors who worked on the covered walkway to the main entrance from the nearby shopping district. The covered walkway being short enough for it to not be irritating to guests after a long day at the water park, but just long enough to shield them from the elements should the weather act up. In Radiant Shores, the weather tends to go from sunshine to rainstorms in an instant. Snow has not been seen in a hundred or so years, but every weatherman likes to predict the "big snowstorm will be coming this year" as Roy likes to poke fun of. Pearl is the head of the color decision department, as appointed by Roy. He handles the financials and the contracting while his wife Pearl tends to have an eye for colors that do not clash. After all, she has been picking out his outfits for about 30 years. She always wags her finger at him saying "if you chose colors, a rainbow would vomit." Roy has always enjoyed how unafraid she was to speak her mind. The left parking lot is complete, landscaping crews are still adding foliage at the approval of Pearl. One wrong plant and she does it herself. The left parking lot features 9 accessible parking spots while the right parking lot is reserved for accessibility parking. In the parking lots guests will find the yellow and blue parking bumpers with the yellow parking bumpers are for general guest parking and blue for guests using the handicapped parking spots. It was agreed that these color choices were easy to distinguish and parking attendants could easily guide guests through the parking lots. The lanes for both parking lots are simple with all of the arrows being painted for the left lot and are starting to be painted in the right lot. It was agreed that the lanes would be one-way lanes from the entrance and exit of each lot. Parking attendants will be present to guide guests to vacant spots and to follow the painted arrows on the pavement. The entrance is mostly complete. Roy and Pearl have been discussing what will be behind the entrance before the entrance turnstyles. Currently there is a staff room and restrooms after the information and ticket booths. A small gift shop is being considered so that guests can purchase what they need before their day at the water park, with it being connected to the restroom facilities. After the turnstyles will be lockers and changing rooms as soon as guests enter the park, with the lockers already being picked out by Roy for the "optimal size for flip flops and junk." Roy and Pearl's son Jimmy has been made responsible for anything "techy" in the park. This includes social media with his mother being the second set of eyes for colors and graphics. Jimmy likes to fly his drone around the neighborhood, which has been very unwelcome by the neighbors. With Endless Summer having empty parking lots and a vast amount of space, he was invited to get an overhead shot of the progress. Roy's parking lot plans show his big dreams for Endless Summer. He was so quick to act that the left lot was not even leveled so there is a slight slant to it. Thankfully the contractors were able to make it blend with the walls around the parking lot. Hopefully Roy's future ideas are more thought out. He has been going on and on about adding a roller coaster and some attractions for guests who do not wish to partake in the water park. His big idea is a roller coaster for a dry thrill, but he has no idea where to begin!

World of Discovery: #Reflecting
With one of my projects turning 9 this week it is time to reflect on the first. World Of Discovery turns 10 in a few months and has seen many versions of the same park concept. This version of the park will be the final version as it goes back to its roots as an "identity crisis" park. RCT3 building techniques have changed in the near 10 years of this project and I am excited to continue this park for a long time! There are not any plans to cancel this project, it has gone quiet at times, but it will not end while new ideas keep appearing.

Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Dubai: 9 Years and Big Plans!
Happy 9 years of Disneyland Resort Dubai! This project came around as a random Disney park in 2017 and quickly evolved into a full project with many versions and changes. I am excited to announce that the 10-year anniversary is already underway starting today! The castle cake is back and is finally in RCT3 thanks to @C O N S T E L L A T I O N . His quick thinking brought the castle cake and candles to RCT3 for the big anniversary. The castle and surrounding areas will be bright pink for 2 years, enough time for new experiences to magically come to life throughout the entire resort. The 10-year anniversary celebration begins now! There is so much in store before the official 10-year anniversary on June 30, 2027 that will be coming real soon!

Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Dubai: 9 Years and Big Plans!
To kick off the 9th anniversary of Disneyland Resort Dubai's operation, I am pleased to announce that Arendelle: The World Of Frozen will be part of Fantasyland. Fantasyland will have guest's favorite stories in many experiences that Walt Disney Imagineering can dream up. This area is the first reveal of the anniversary celebration that is serving as a precursor to the big 10 year next year! There is much more in store this week, June 30th is the big day! Thanks to @C O N S T E L L A T I O N , the RCT3 realm has gotten both the North Mountain and Arendelle Castle to help create this area.

I love it! I like that you are continuing this project. It is a solid mix of in-game and custom content. How far are you looking to go into the park's history (2000s, modern, etc.)?

Is there a hard limit for the number of objects you can have in a park?
There is not a limit to objects. As others have said, it will affect how the game behaves in terms of lagging. @Wabigbear did share the common tools we use in the RCT3 realm.

Endless Summer Water Park: Big Parking Lot = Big Dreams
Saturday mornings with a new water park under construction mean Roy has to get up instead of getting his beauty rest. He was up last night with the paving crew working on the left parking lot and finishing the entrance walkway. Contractors also showed up at 10 PM last night to install coverings for the walkway that connects to the nearby shopping district. Roy was already operating on fumes, but his vision does not know the time of day. Some non-story background on this section of this entrance and water park: The entrance was heavily inspired by Steve's Wet'n'Wild v1.0 by Mineral that is on the Frontier Workshop. Some details and the size are different than what was done for that project in it being a bit larger. I did pull the top slanted section from his entrance as I was having issues getting the triangles for the corners to align with the slanted rectangles. Shockingly, I made the entrance sign. I did it during a Discord stream and it quickly developed. The name "Endless Summer" comes from the resort at Universal Studios Orlando Resort. Because this project is starting in the summer, I wanted to play with that, and this project will be ongoing past the summer season (I hope).

Endless Summer Water Park: Big Parking Lot = Big Dreams
Paving crews have been quick to get the parking lot on the left side of the entrance prepped for use. The left lot will be general guest parking whereas the right lot will be reserved for those guests who require handicapped parking. Current tasking for the crew is to paint the lines and add the parking bumpers for each parking space. Yellow parking bumpers are for general guest parking and blue are for guests using the handicapped parking spots.
