Universal Studios Florida - 1990 Recreation
Please enjoy these nighttime shots of the park! One thing I really wanted was for the park to be fully nighttime compatible and for everything to look as pretty at night as I could make it. I used the David Walsh cheat and removed the HUD if anyone wants to save them as wallpapers.

Not the strongest recreation I've done but Nickelodeon Studios finally has received its Slime Geyser! I think I did okay with the resources available but if anyone has any suggestions on how to improve it, please let me know! It would be great if there was a CS set that could make fountains into ride events so it wouldn't be constantly flowing like mine is. The real one went off every ten minutes if I remember right.

Hi, guys. I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to what CS I can use for the Nickelodeon Slime Geyser? Shy’s Rocks is perfect for the rock it’s on but I tried using DatsMatze’s Industry Age Additions and I wasn’t happy with how it looked. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you! I think I probably will go up to current day, it’s just going to be hard having to part with pretty much everything I’ve done bar E.T. I’ll definitely go up to at least 2002 as I think that was the year Classic Universal really started to fade away with Kong closing and I think that might be a good place to end. But I’ll definitely see how I feel when I reach that stage. ;-)

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments! I've also uploaded the park onto RCTgo if anyone is interested. My main goal with the park was also to make it as accessible for the in-game guests as I could and thankfully, it's gone down really well with only a few asking for more rides. I'm hoping that will die down for when BTTF opens. The guest's favourite ride is most definitely The Funtastic World Of Hanna-Barbera with Kongfrontation being a pretty close second. Barely anyone rides JAWS! which is a bit of shame because that's one of the rides I'm most proud of. But now of course, it's time to start evolving this park the same way the real Universal did. And we've aged up the Psycho IV Bates sets to the way they looked after filming for the movie wrapped. Both buildings also kept a portion of their pristine looks on their sides. And Nickelodeon Studios is currently working out new ways to distribute their slime...

The only alien in any set I could find unfortunately… At least he still has a friendly smile and a wave! 🤣

See the stars. Ride the movies. 'We're really happy to be here in Florida and... we'll be here forever. Thank you...' Welcome to Universal Studios Florida, the way you remember it... On June 7th, 1990, Steven Spielberg cut the ribbon to a brand new standalone studio theme park in Central Florida. A place where not only could you see the stars and walk the sacred ground of iconic film sets, but be in the movies and ride the movies. A place where King Kong causes havoc on the streets of New York, where you can create your own Hanna-Barbera cartoon, get caught in an Earthquake, have an encounter in the seas with Jaws, fly into space with E.T. and see the place where Nick is made. I actually first started work on this park five or six years ago but then I had just reached the Amity area and my save file got corrupted. Until a few weeks ago, I managed to find a way to restore the file with Park Cleanup and finally get to finish the park that means so much to me. I used Roller Coaster Creations' version of the current day Universal as my basis but my main goal was to make it as much of a functioning park as I could make it and I used every video and picture I could find to make sure I had it as accurate as I could get it. I took a few liberties to make sure it worked for the in-game guests while also preserving its authenticity, like making any attraction that is strictly a simulator be an actual roller coaster that goes underground and makes the same movements as the simulator so that I don't have multiple identical flat ride motion simulators. And in the case of Kongfrontation and E.T., I used vehicles that are more thrilling but still resemble the real thing. I intend to keep working on this park and make all the same updates as the real thing so please keep up with my thread below as I do! Universal Studios Florida - 1990 Recreation
See the stars. Ride the movies. 'We're really happy to be here in Florida and... we'll be here forever. Thank you...' Hi, guys! This is my first time posting on this but I just wanted to share my recreation of Universal Studios Florida as it was when it had its grand opening in 1990. The history and constant evolution of this park has always been so fascinating to me and I really wanted to create something like this to bring fans of classic Universal back to the time where Kong caused havoc on the streets of New York, Earthquakes would shake Central Florida, Jaws would roam the seas and you could see the place where Nick was made. I actually started this about five or six years ago and the file got corrupted as I started building Amity until just recently, I managed to fix the safe file and finally finish it. I used RollerCoaster Creations' version of current Universal as the basis but I wanted to make it as functional of a park for the guests as I could make it and get every detail as accurate as I could make it. I haven't been keeping track of all the CS I used but I would definitely love to put it up for download sometime soon. '... was filmed in front of a live studio audience at Nickelodeon Studios at Universal Studios Florida.' Please let me know what you all think! Any feedback is welcome!
