Welcome to Emerald Waters Water Park!

Florida's newest water park in the Emerald Coast!

To celebrate the debut of Planet Coaster 2, I am happy to begin this splashtacular water park that is inspired by my hometown, and it is going to be a project that develops one wave at a time. I look forward to sharing more of this project as we welcome Planet Coaster 2.

Splashing in on the first day is the park's main entrance. This is my first ever build and with the new tools I wanted to try some things out. Using the prebuilt jetty pieces, I made this entrance into the park. This of course is just the beginning as I still have to plant some foliage and add more details, but I am happy with how this came out with in-game pieces.

Day 2 of Planet Coaster takes us back to Emerald Waters. The entrance saw some love (and a new park file 😉). I am keeping things simple starting out and the entrance is pretty basic, but this is a Planet Coaster 2 water park. The crew decided to paint the letters and let the waves crash in to add a new graphical element to our main entrance. Future changes will include implementation of the logo from the announcement post once images are able to be uploaded into Planet Coaster 2.

Again, keeping a basic theme, the guest services counters and the restrooms are outside of the park. More facilities will be in the park, but these are going to be the first stops for many guests coming to Emerald Waters.

The park's first slides are a pair that make up the Plunge Slide Tower. Guests will climb around 100 feet about the ground and have two options of free-falling back to Earth. One is a trapdoor option, and the other is on their own free will. A basic slide type, but one that might cause guests to say "no I'll do it tomorrow."

The view from the bottom is quite spectacular, but from the top it is magnificent and will be one of the highest points of the water park. Of course there will be many thrilling slides that dominate the skyline, but this will be the first. Making it special for the design team.

Choose your fate or take the long trip down using the stairs. Whichever your choice, Emerald Waters will be your place to make a splash.

I do like the appearance of the peeps better in PC2. A different artistic style; less cartoony, or at least, cartoony in a slightly more realistic way.

Yeah and now they can get sunburnt 🤣. This game has some quality-of-life changes that were good and some that are not so good. I am finding different techniques as I develop this project that I wish I knew when I dove into it.

Another day another splash! Emerald Waters is growing at a rapid rate and I am happy to share current progress and discuss changes that I have made today.

Classic entrance shot. This park is under heavy development and is still in the beginning stages in most areas. Splash Cove is the first section of the park to have a sign. This replaced a small wading pool and sunchair area. Now there are Chief Beef and Hotdog Squad stalls. There is also a small seating area behind the two food stalls that has plenty of shade for guests to enjoy.

Splash Cove includes Plunge (both slides), Seastorm, and Whirlpool. More slides and swimming areas are being planned for this area, but the two raft slides are new additions teased yesterday.

Seastorm is a double-raft slide and Whirlpool is a single-raft slide. Of the two, Seastorm is my favorite in terms of the layout. This was the first raft slide I have ever made in Planet Coaster 2 and it has a simple yet thrilling layout. Whirlpool is a traditional "toilet-bowl" slide with a sharp turn and drop that leads into the bowl.

The view from this tower is amazing and also allows guests to see everything being developed for their enjoyment (much more to cover).

Two more raft slides were added to Emerald Waters, but have not received their tower covering yet. Seaweed Splash is a family raft ride with some oscillators leading into sharp turns and drops. Coral Curl is a double-raft slide with traditional elements. A much longer profile than Seastorm that dominates the skyline.

Last but not least our family area, home to five slides that cater to everyone. This area acts as a buffer to the rest of the park as well as a place for guests to relax and catch a few rays.

The five slides include three body slides and one single raft slide. Starting from left to right of where the flumes end, we have Dreamsicle, Double Dipper, Double Red, Green Hills, and Zig Zag. Double Dipper is inspired by Downhill Double Dipper at Disney's Blizard Beach which is why it sports the blue color scheme like the real-world slide. The names are fairly random with a few having some fun backgrounds like Dreamsicle being named after the sweet treat, and Double Red is named just like the flag colors that close beaches.

An overview of the park. This park is under heavy development and is rather barren. I have been focusing on the slides and getting some good layouts. Splash Cove will be the first area to see love in terms of buildings and details. Water parks here do not have too much theming other than tikis or a loose pirate theme, so this park is really on par with those 🤣, but with more modern slides. I am excited to continue sharing my progress, this park is a fun build and is a great introduction into water parks in Planet Coaster 2.

I've been having lots of fun in Planet Coaster 2 so far but haven't played around much with the water park side - it's looking good and looks like a lot of fun! Love your signage throughout the park so far!

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Happy Monday! I made a quick trip to Emerald Waters because there are two new slides that have been added to the park.

Starting off at Splash Cove, one of the newest slides joins the plunge slides and offers a new thrill to the area.

Introducing Curler. Another body slide to the slide tower that has a twisting path guests are loving.

The next slide to be added to our list is Stingray Strike. An aqualoop that will send riders twisting around the loop after experiencing a trapdoor start.

More updates are coming soon! Be on the lookout for more waves of fun!

Stingray Strike looks too terrifying for me, haha

Looks like a fun park so far - are you adding slides before adding all the scenery? I notice no foliage or structures, curious what your process is on working on this park!

Doing a lot of experimenting. Probably do a lot of changes as I go along. Plus this is a budget water park 😅.

Welcome back to Emerald Waters! Recent technological advances in the Planet Coaster world (mostly flume behaviors) have spawned a boom in future plans for the water park. Guests entering the entrance area will notice a recently installed fence. There are a lot of rumors swirling that this could begin the entrance rework and potential guest infrastructure to other future projects in the Planet Coaster world.

Currently, the main entrance sign remains unchanged. There are rumors that the generic logo will be replaced with the logo created for this project and the signage could potentially find a new home elsewhere on property. The current entrance saw a few changes in terms of buildings being relocated to temporary facilities as new developments are being planned.

The new flume behaviors update released this week definitely affects the slide lineup. This updated was long awaited since the game released and the slides received heavy criticism for being flat and the rider movements were not as realistic. With the update, this will allow Emerald Waters to begin redevelopment into a higher quality water park, while still learning Planet Coaster 2 controls. I am excited to keep diving into this project.
