Disney’s original plans did not include a circus area at all. This bench is 100% fabricated by me. Why? Well, it seemed like a logical tie-in with the State Fair bench, Walt Disney loved circuses, and what is more American than the traveling circus?
Colonel Tom Parker’s Circus (from the Disney classic Toby Tyler) has set up their tents in this area, and guests can enter Clown Alley, ride Minnie’s Grand Carousel, visit Pete’s Silly Side Show, a character meet and greet area, or they can ride on one of the Double Dumbos, patterned on Florida’s attraction. There is also the Big Top, where they can sit and enjoy a Lion or Tiger show. There are numerous historic Circus Wagons on display as well, and finally, guests can enjoy a number of standard carnival type rides.
