About This File

Created: 09/26/10. 2 sets in one. Both sets have been sitting on my hard drive for a while now and I cannot bring myself to continue developing them. Maybe I will some day but I figure that many of you will find some creative uses for them as they are.

Some Icons are missing, and the set is difficult to work with; there really isn't a way to make them very useful in RCT3 because of RCT3's height restrictions for stalls and lack of elevated paths that don't have railings. Belgabor's Invisible Dodads can be used to make invisible paths without railings, but it is very hard to know where you are going with those paths, being high up and not being able to see what you have.

There are two main pillar sections, one designed to have embedded elevators. Getting the paths up to the floors can be tricky; I have found that it's best to start a straight staircase up to the highest floor, then work downwards making the final stairs through the provided floor openings.

Included in the SkyPad set are various pieces that can be used to make different layouts, though I have never gotten around to making the interior walls or shops as I had planned. You will find two special wall sections that have animated doors and platform covers that were designed to work with the in-game monorail. Once these pieces are in place, click each one and then assign them to a section of track just ahead of them so they work as ride events, the animation is timed to stay open long enough for a 6 car train train to pass through. There is also a glass roof dome and a roof railing with colorable lights. You can change the color of the lights befire the railings are placed by changing the 3rd color option (bottom right color selector).

The Googie Glass walls contain an animated revolving door which you might find useful in other building designs, along with a number of roof and pillar and beam sections. a variety of Soffet sections can be used to create flared roof lines as well as groovy breezeways over your queue lines.

The glass is colorable in both sets, and is generally X-ray free.

In this ZIP file you will find 2 folders. Each folder goes by itself into the Themed folder like normal custom scenery. One folder contain the Skypad, the other some new building walls for that 1960 Googie style look.

Have fun and enjoy!
