Now for Q #106, elements: Well, let's see.... There's Earth... Water... Air... and Fire. I should ask cititrader if he knows of any others. C: More than half seems like a safe bet; not too high, not too low.

The questions are coming a bit faster right now as I'm in the Trivia Bowl round in my full game right now and there are limited players still playing live, so I'm cycling through the questions quicker right now.

Correct answer for Question 107 - History

What year was Arlington National Cemetery established?

B: 1864

I don't not know nuthin' 'bout no horses. I suppose a human could outrun a horse... if the horse was dead. But I'll go with B: False.

Having grown up on a horse ranch, I can definitively state, "It depends." :^þ

Seriously though, it will highly depend on the breed of horse. A wild mustang (California horse) or morgan will shrug off the heat without even trying and can do 30 miles in about 2 hours. A thoroughbred, while easily fast enough, doesn't have the endurance. (15 miles on a good day)

So there really is no good answer for this one. :^/

correct answer to Question 108 - Science

True or False.

A human can out run a horse in a 26+ mile marathon on a hot day.

A: True

Most four-legged animals can out sprint a human, but it comes to endurance, humans can outrun almost any animal because we sweat to stay cool. Even a horse needs to slow its pace on a hot long run. The type of terrain can also significantly influence the outcome. A challenging course with steep inclines, uneven surfaces, or obstacles that require constant maneuvering can favor a human runner. Such courses put a greater strain on the horse’s musculoskeletal system and exacerbate the limitations of their thermoregulation.

Question 109 - Literature

Dr. Suess anticipated that writing ‘The Cat In The Hat’ would take him about a week. How long was it when he finished it?

A: About 5 hours
B: In three days
C: 6 months later
D: A year and half later

I'm going to be brave and say, A: About 5 hours. There's not a lot of words, and there is a lot of repetition. Now, if we include the illustrations...

I'm gonna go in the opposite direction because I recall that writing it was far more difficult than it would seem because he was working with a limited number of words suitable to very small children...so I'm picking the extreme answer: D: A year and half later

Question 110 - TV

How many seasons did the Batman TV show run?

A: 1
B: 3
C: 5
D: 7

Question 111 - TV

How many different actors played a villain during the shows run?
A: 12
B: 17
C: 23
D: 37

Hmmm...I know that it was on more than one year, but I don't think it lasted five years. I was thinking two, but that's not an answer, so I'll go with B: 3

If it was on for three years, back then there were maybe 14-15 episodes in a season, so that would be around 42 -45 episodes in the show, and each one had a 'guest star' as a villain, some repeated...so my guess (because I'm obviously far, FAR too young to have watched on than in reruns YEARS later...) would be D: 37.

Was Batman ever a black and white silent film? Citytrader might remember that...

1st question: Wagi might be right about the show being on for 3 years, but I think it was a bit more. So I'll say C: 5.

2nd question: Again, Wagi might be right with the 37 villains. But I'm gonna be conservative (that's a first for me!) and say C: 23. Because yes, there were a lot of repeat appearances by actors. Cesar Romero as the Joker, and Frank Gorshin as the Riddler come to mind. And I AM old enough that I watched the series when it was first broadcast! classic_ohmy

They made a heck of a lot of episodes, and I believe it aired twice a week for a couple seasons. Star Trek was on three years, and produced like 80 episodes, so I'm going to go with B: 3 on the thought that most series at that time produced 30 episodes a season.

There were lots of villains, and as JB mentioned, lots of reappearances, but I think there were about D: 37 different villains, only about a dozen from the comics, the rest were made up for the show.

And like JB, watched them live on ABC. Begged my dad to take to the theatre to see the movie as well!!!

The comic wasn't invented until the 1930's, so no silent movies. Sorry Wagi! However, there was a silent film called "The Bat", which some have claimed was the inspiration for the Batman character.
