Welcome to Disney's America Victory Field Bench, the fifth publicly released bench of nine (projected) total.
Is themed in two areas, a reproduction of a military airport with hangers containing attractions based on America's military fight in WWII using virtual reality technology. The powerful film Victory through Air Power, made by Disney Studios during the war is also shown. The air field also contains Donald’s Parachute Drop and Goofy’s Flight School, two exciting flat rides. The highlight of this area is the dueling coasters Axis and Allies, themed around a burned out French village and you are assigned the task of destroying a munitions dump. The Motor Pool affords you a look at the terrain of the coasters from jeep level. The second part of the area, The War at Home is a recreation of a typical WWII era Main Street, with a USO Dance Hall. There is also a short film Disney During the War highlighting Disney’s involvement in the war effort, including making training films and even housing troops on the studio lot.
