Love the pathing with views down onto rides, that really takes it up a notch. The buildings, while modern, really mesh well with the natural grounds. Really nice job.

Thanks! I've always loved how the area around the wooden coaster turned out, how it feels like that whole section was just nestled into the form of the coaster...by far one of my favorite areas. 😊

I love the interactions you have between the paths and the rides so far, I've always loved when riding a ride and looking up and seeing people on a path just watching you go down a hill or something. Makes me feel special... maybe too special?

Project so far is very cool, pure sticky goodness! (Don't take that out of context)

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Uhhh...thanks!(?) *backs away slowly*

Well it's been a minute, but no project of mine ever truly dies. In fact, I've had a resurgence of idea for this park, though not where we last left off with the dark ride. No, instead I'm a glutton for punishment and have decided to add yet another enclosed ride into the park...on the other side! I'm starting a little mining town over here with the express purpose of fitting in a couple of flats, and adding another gift shop. But that's also not gonna stop me from adding yet another coaster to the line up either, so we're using an unusual choice for a mine-based coaster, but a really fun one given all the fun extra parts this model comes with. I've also already finished our first flat ride for the area, Blast Shaft, which is a drop tower complete with explosions and the Miner's Diners right next door. What's more relaxing than watching people strapped to a plummeting car while you enjoy your meal?

Oh yeah, also some absolute genius decided to build a train station on top of the coaster station? I don't know who thought this was a good idea (🫣), but eventually I'll figure out how to make it work. For now, the coaster station layout is complete, and honestly? I'm really happy with it!

And here's a Day and Night POV of the coaster thus far. Daytime so you can better see the layout, and Nighttime so you can see the SFX that I do have already in the front half of the ride (with plenty more to come; suggestions welcomed!).

I like the layout on that mine coaster, I've been staying away from switch tracks and backwards stuff but I think you've inspired me to look into it. Also like the idea of enclosing the base of the drop tower and then giving some additional purpose to the structure with the restaurant. Good stuff!

Nice start on the coaster. I really like the layout and the switches (I really need to design a coaster with switches....a bit of anxiety on my part attempting this). I really like the blast tower and the effects...perfect touch.

I do see some lag when you records. You may want to use cheat engine software to record at a slower frame rate and then speed it up in post....its the only way I can records anything in these games anymore.

Thanks! This is probably the third or fourth rebuild of the ride, it's tricky balancing dark-ride and coaster, especially making all the block zones work seamlessly. I'm pretty proud of it though, it feels like my strongest execution of a dark-coaster thus far! The backwards stuff just felt really right for a mine, I think mostly because of the dead-end tracks.

The restaurant actually got added as an after thought! The building only looked half done and tiny when I was done with the ride, so I started playing around with what I could do on that side, and that just ended up feeling right. Plus it solved the issue of having a food location for this new section of the park.

Thanks! The SFX were truly luck. I was afraid that the explosion would be too big (it usually is for the places I want to use it in), but here, it ended up not only the right size, but actually small. So we get two explosions now. 😎

As for the lag...frankly, I don't care? 😅 I don't mean to sound rude about it, but I've tried cheat engine before, it just never gave a good result for me, and the effort wasn't worth it. I also don't want to deal with downloading an editor onto my laptop. There's simply too many steps, and I'm not that bent out of shape about it.

Low-key a huge update today! I spent [REDACTED] hours yesterday working on this park, and boy so much has happened. There are many things that are simply invisible to what is showable here (lots of operation adjustments for attractions, staff, etc), but there's also a lot of cosmetic changes too! The "mining town" around the Blast Shaft is really coming into its own. The coaster/train station has been sorted out quite nicely, and is almost complete. I just need to finish encasing the very end of the coaster prior to the unload station...and then of course finish the coaster 😅

This area I always intended to have several flats, as that's a lacking part of this park. So we've got ourselves a Grand Carousel that I made a wonderful structure for (very proud of this one!). Cannot tell you how helpful symmetrical building is in PC2, absolutely life-changing. I've also got a scrambler in this area too, though as of yet it's unthemed. I'm not exactly sure that it's the right thing for this area, but it's there as a placeholder if nothing else.

Also, guests were bitching about having only one souvenir shop in the park, so I added the Stuff Hut directly across from the mining town. Squeezed it in between the main pathway and the structure of Timberline. Oh by the way, the wooden coaster got its name finally: Timberline!

Finally, I returned to the attraction that started this whole thing: the rapids. I've been putting this off for a long time, but I'm finally going around the attraction and making the flume covering, just the same way I did in PC1. It's just as effective in PC2, and worth the effort, even if it's a time-suck.

The wood border along the rapids is very nice! Really add to the cosiness of your park and the Stuff Hut is a fun name for a shop haha

HA, was totally scrolling down here to type that I love the wood balcony idea for the track siding. (happy to be in good company with Wowman and Miss B).

Glad we're all in agreement about the wood sidings 😂

I'm once again finding myself battling my old enemy: interiors. But that said, this little mining town is coming along on the outside, and pretty much at the point where I just simply have to do the ride interior now. The scizzer has been themed up as Docey Do, a hoedown party sort of flat ride, and the foliage around the outdoor bits of the coaster are complete. I also gave it a watchtower-type building to pass through out in the forest, and I think it adds a nice little touch to the otherwise monotonous woods. As for the interiors, I'm beginning to slowly chip away at them, adding some basic flooring and walls, and starting to play around with communicating story ideas, like the mine elevator here at the mid-point of the layout. Plenty more to come, but here's what we got for now!

Overall, the park is growing quite a bit! I really love how much this little mining town has filled out this right side of the map. Maybe now that I'm chipping away at interiors, I can finally beginning planning my next expansion... 😏

Very satisfying overhead. This park is turning into something that remains cozy while still offering lots of thrills and things to do.
