⭐OAKWORLD - A Disney Inspired PC2 Park

I feel your pain!! I had multiple breakdowns trying to fit in the parade route. Just like you I thought I came prepared with a wide street with sidewalks and a space for a potential parade barn. But my street was only 8m wide instead of the 16 I needed to make it all work. I had already build some rides along the riverfront and landscaped a bit but I had to move it all and it was no fun at al. I didn't want to push out al the facades on the city side because I was scared it would mess up the the individual lined up grids (+coaster behind them) so I had to move everything further into the lake. Like Shyguy said, the game pushes you to build the other way around and do the parade path first. Also those black lines are stupid ugly!! (I really hope frontier will patch those out)

I still think you've managed to fit it all in really well. It sucks to rebuild the stuff around the lake but most rebuilds end in a better design because you're skills have grown and you know what worked and what didn't. I like the circles and little plazas you've made, the work really well. Also chuckled at the Jet2 Holiday sign :P The new tall Award Wieners also looking sharp!

Keep up the great work, be patience with the parades because my games crashed multiple time building those, don't forget to save often in between.

Hate that you have to redo that beautiful waterfront, believe me, I can imagine how long that took (and when I do it they don't come out that perfect.) But you've nailed it once so you'll nail it again.

The sightlines in this park are gorgeous. Loving the castle and the hotel.

The big problem with parades is that Frontier made them so you have to create the parade first, and then build your park around them, instead of making them easy to add to an existing park.

So good for you for your perseverance. I look forward to seeing the finished product.

Yeah, that's the part that really stinks. I think I'm lucky in that I was trying to emulate a Disney-style park to begin with so I had a Main Street already there + my original idea was to copy Epic Universe and do portals. That's why the "hub" is just a big ol' lake like the fountains. Like for example, the portal to Fantasyland was never meant to be a castle, it was meant to be Vikings and then... oops, a wild castle appears!

I feel like parades could have been implemented better. I know they are based on a track ride, but why not let us choose the track width? We kinda can with the riverboats/river rapids track rides. I know that's not programming guests to stand on the side of the path, and that coding might be harder - is harder. I'm sure if they could've they would've. I at least would have liked the option to turn on or off that black band for track ride path crossings.

Aww man! Yeah, that's the thing is I wish it could've been implemented better! I get that parades are big in parks, and they usually have wide paths to accommodate that, but... 16m is astronomical. I was hoping they would let us change the width of the parade paths (like who cares if the parade floats or entertainer points are "over the edge" frontier.. hon... listen to me when I say that having more options is better than a hella strict wide parade. like idc if they clip! let 'em! That's should be my call.) and I totally agree that the black border should get patched out, or at least be optional in a patch.

But thanks dude, I'm trying my best with this park, it's so big and everchanging. Let's just hope they don't add some massive update that changes how like... water behaves or something dumb.

Thank you so much! I mean, from the pictures nothing over there was - still isn't - finished. It's such a big park, and then rushing and taking time for 2 semesters of school, I crammed to get a lot in around the park and never got around to it. Which ultimately is a good thing, it didn't feel as bad when I had to take a bulldozer to most of it. But dang I miss that pier.

But! Some good news! I was working on the area today actually, right before I filmed an update video! The trolley is kinda wonky, but the track is rather neat on the back and forth. It's the turn arounds that are... how to put this delicately... shite! But I will make sure that they are polished as much as they can be. The whole area I think is really pretty now. It might not be as covered and secluded as it was before, but I think it has it's own vibe that I can't wait to... grow. (hehe get it?)

But I have some update pics from today!

Me taking pictures of the same angle of the castle that is still unfinished:

Go Oakie, Go! Wow, look at her go!
All jokes aside, really enjoying the new waterfront. The tram looks cool and will probably fit in nicely with your main street. I like the flowering cube trees. I'm used to the green Disney ones but a pop of color works really well for them. The lit up castle shot is so pretty! The new umbrella's from the parade pack are huge upgrade for me.

I like the theme choices. It makes it enough of an original idea that although it is sort of Disneyish, its not very Disnyish and that's a compliment.

Really nice pictures of the (unfinished) castle! I especially like the 3rd one, the castle bordered by the two large stately trees with the trolley in the center. The last pic (nighttime) looks great with the castle peeking through the hanging tree branches!
