The heat lamps have been replaced with new ones. I found these on the workshop and liked them better than mine. New restrooms near the Sandwich Port.

Yes. Both the San Diego Zoo and the Safari Park have a small stage near the front of each park that (used to) showcase their "animal ambassadors"...animals trained to be comfortable with being up close to guests. Although recently, neither one has been utilized for that purpose. The zoo's stage is now used for musical presentations during holiday periods, and I haven't seen anything go on at the one at the Safari Park the last few times I've visited.

Now you've hurt Spunky's feelings. The sad thing is, he will most likely die of old age before the park opens.

There are heat lamps for those cool San Diego evenings.
  5. Love the art deco Creamery and the murals on the walls.

The Sandwich Port is a great spot to grab lunch in the Waterfront area of Expo 3000. Animatronic droids take guest's orders. The condiment bar The menu has a nice selection of sandwiches to choose from. Outdoor dining along the water's edge.

Yes, it's very hard to figure YouTube and how it works and what videos will do well and which will not. It may not have anything to do with the quality. My 1st Animal World video performed the best of my Worlds of Wonder series, so I excitedly made this 2nd one. I think it's just very difficult to establish a popular YouTube channel these days. I'm not even concerned much with that, as I have no intention of even trying to "make it big." It just makes it difficult to decide how I want to make any future videos and how much work I want to actually put into them. I'm certainly not encouraged to put the kind of work I put into this last one into any upcoming ones. I will most likely wait until I have more content to actually show off in the park, and not rely on 2/3rds of it being comedy bits and cheesy special effects. 😉

Thanks Wagi, So spread the word, as this video has performed the worst of any of my recent videos. I don't know if it's the YouTube algorithms working against me, or that people aren't that interested in the Wonder gang. I know my park builds are all still in the very early stages, so there aren't a lot of impressive rides or attractions yet. But it is a bit disappointing.

Yes. Sometimes "inspiration" just hits me in the middle of creating these videos. Dr. Hannah catapulting through the ceiling and walking through glass doors just happened during filming. So I left it in, and actually, this is completely "normal" behavior of the employees and guests in these games. Wanda's transformation into an AI rock star, on the other hand, was planned from the start.
  11. It looks like it, doesn't it. No, it's just some of the ride supports sticking out of the shell. Yes. That's how it was done.

For anyone interested in the process that goes into creating these videos. Over 40 video clips, dozens of stills, sound effects, music tracks, over 80 lines of dialogue, and special effects like green-screening in characters from other games. How nuts am I?
  13. The Rotor was the last ride I built before I abandoned this park. From here on, everything will be brand new.

My intentions are always to make a video about my park, but then I get side-tracked and this happens...
  15. Perfection. Wait! Is that Hervé Villechaize in the poster in the second to last shot?
  16. As opposed to today, when you have to deal with massive crowds, massive prices, and everyone walking around staring at their phones while using the app to get around.
  17. I hope to see an aerial view of this land at the end. Looks charming.

Meanwhile... Landscaping is coming along at Animal World. Aerial view of the Flamingos Exhibit.

Not exactly with him. In contact, yes. Paying homage to Atari would be the last thing on my mind.
  20. I'm really liking the Paradise Pier section.

Very nice. I especially like the night lighting.

Back to "As the Animal World Turns" ... Meanwhile... The Flamingo Exhibit is complete. The 387 foot tall Observation Tower. The tower was inspired by 2 existing structures... The Martyr's Monument in Algiers, and the Monuments des Martyrs in West Africa. Wanda and Scooter take some time off to contemplate on their next move.

    Wanda makes her first video.
  24. Very nice. I wonder how long a land like this would have actually lasted at Disneyland. They tried this theme in Disney California Adventure when it first opened (what were they thinking?) and it failed miserably.
  25. Six Flags and Cedar Parks merged recently, and closing underperforming parks was all part of the long term plan. Both have been struggling, but this merger should help by combining both company's resources. I'm still finding it difficult to accept Six Flags Knott's Berry Farm. Seems so sacrilegious. (Okay, so they didn't actually change the name (not yet) but they have made their presence known in the park.)
