Work has begun on the next big theme park in the World's of Wonder Resort. Mr. Wonder is being very secretive about just what this park will have to offer. But he promises that it will rival, if not surpass, the epic scope pf Wonder World. Construction has just begun, so there is very little to show right now. The most interesting (distressing) thing to report is that he has hired his nephew, Scooter, as head grounds keeper. We all remember what happened to Water World when Scooter was left in charge. Or maybe we don't, but moving on... Scooter looks happy to be working again in a Wonder park. I'm not, though... Even more distressing is that Wanda, Mr. Wonder's sister, has also been hired to work at the park as head keeper. Here she is preparing food for the new flamingos that have just arrived. Wanda and son, Scooter, standing together on the new park grounds. The park is just a blank canvas now, with some initial rock work and water features slowly taking shape. This will be the future home of the Greater Flamingo. Right now, it's not much more than a mud pool. A waterfall is being tested amongst some very unfinished rock work. Rumor has it that there will be a system of underground caves beneath the rocks. What it will house is something we can only speculate for now.
  2. Beautiful photos. I love the composition of the last one. And those city scapes are spectacular.

Yes, as time marches on, all the years seem to blur together. I can't believe I started this project roughly 9 years ago! 😬
  4. Such a great update. I love the night shots. You really capture the Disney spirit with all the twinkle lights.

It's not gonna be cheap, that's for sure. Actually, this was originally built in Planet Coaster and is being refurbished in...Planet Coaster. 😉
  6. Wow. This looks like it's gonna be good! I'll be following this project for sure.

Work continues on Lafitte Landing, focusing now on Lafitte Castle. So maybe the Veranda House rooms aren't exciting enough for you. Maybe you'd rather stay in one of the deluxe castle rooms inside Lafitte Castle itself. Almost all of the original Lafitte Castle interiors have been gutted. Being the very first Planet Coaster project I worked on, and the fact that the game was still in early access, making interiors was insanely difficult using the path system which didn't have the ability to use grids and make plazas. The interior became a maze of hallways and staircases to reach the upper floors, leaving very little room for anything else. The only thing I kept was the lobby, which came out halfway decent. Here is an old photo of the original lobby the way it looked years ago. New furniture, stone floors, and more rustic looking wood wall textures have been added. The reception desk hasn't changed much except for some enhanced lighting. More changes and additions to the lobby are underway, as well as installing 14 deluxe rooms to the castle. The building was never really designed to be a realistic hotel, so the layout is still very odd. But who says all hotels have to fit the norm. Lot's more work to do...

And I always thought my Expo 3000 set was my worst.
  9. Yes, all will be released eventually.

    Thanks, Knight Rider.
  11. Changing tables have been added to the restrooms. There's no room for a family one in this building, but there could be one in a future facility. Mr. Perkins has no idea what that is. The restrooms in PC are very similar to those in RCT3. They are basically just a box that the peeps disappear into. I have one hidden behind the employee door, so peeps should enter these faux restrooms and then use the "real" restroom. Unfortunately, there is no way to designate them to be for men or women, so all restrooms in PC are technically family restrooms.
  12. The men's room. The women's room.
  13. And now, another spectacular addition to Wonder Beach Boardwalk... the restrooms!!! Interior pics coming next...
  14. Congratulations 😄
  15. Nice park, nice video, and have a nice break. But not too long, so we can see more of your work! ps. Where did you get the AI voice? They're sounding much more realistic since I used them in the past. (I may need them once I start making videos)
  16. She'd probably have a much better chance if she's come on a day the park was open.
  17. Next, changes have been made to Cafe Al Fresco, the outdoor, waitress service restaurant. In this old photo, the tables and chairs were made out of art shapes and other objects. New, TMTK tables and chairs have replaced them (not mine). Also added are the shade covers above, also TMTK items (mine). I think that's Wanda sitting alone at one of the tables, being recently released from Miss Hathaway's House for Drunken Hussies. The Cafe Al Fresco menu is displayed at the entrance. Night time.
  18. Well, it's about time we entered the park! And that admission price...Disneyland in 1955 charged $1 for admission, which with inflation would be about $11 today. In 1940, $1 would be equal to about $22 today. So you're charging DOUBLE Disneyland's opening cost. Outrageous indeed! So far, I'm liking the Main Street area. Love the horse-drawn vehicles, although I know you had nothing to do with their construction. 😉 And about that last pic with the conjoined twins...I thought you were building this park with Planet Coaster, not RCT World.
  19. And Wagi had me believing you were about 110.🙄

    Oh god, I hope not.

Well, lets see... This would be the 6th version of the park. The 1st was the scale I model I built. The 2nd was the non-cs version in RCT3 featuring the first four lands. The 3rd was the remodeled version using my cs sets in RCT3. The 4th was "Wonder World 2" in RCT3 with an expanded layout and better cs. I didn't get very far on this one. The 5th was built in Planet Coaster 1, featuring one of the new lands not built in RCT3. This was a bloated version of the park, with a much expanded and changed layout. I got about 1/3 finished and gave up...tired of fighting with PlanCo's annoying path system, 10 fps, and 5 minute wait times to load or save a park file. This 6th version will be a closer representation of the original model, with some changes and additions to make it more realistic. Hopefully I'll get to build all 7 lands...So I guess this would be Expo 6000?
  22. I'm a Disney nerd.🤓 Also Knott's, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Legoland. Haven't been to Universal for years, but plan to go soon. Not a fan of Six Flags, as my stomach can't handle big coasters or spinning flat rides. And Magic Mountain had gotten pretty ghetto...poor service, bad food, gang warfare. I think they've cleaned up the gang problem, but the park still has major issues. Hoping the Cedar Fair/Six Flags merger will benefit the park. I haven't been in probably 20 years. I might go again, just to experience it one more time.
  23. There are some very creative people here. My past hobbies have included model building (Wonder World, Disneyland Main Street, Big Thunder Mountain, and original designs too) drawing, painting, designing computer RPG games, playing and composing music for the keyboard, and running online forums 😜. Today, besides building theme parks in Planet Coaster, I visit all the theme parks and attractions in Southern California on a regular basis, especially enjoying the special events at each park. I am an avid CRPG player and have been since the 90's. I am fascinated by the history and development of computer/video games. I own literally thousands of games, and enjoy playing ancient games as well as modern ones. I am also a mega movie buff, and also into the history of film. I've watched 1000's of movies, dating back from the silent films to the present. I am fascinated by how the movie industry has evolved from the early B&W silents, to sound, to color, how the Hays Code and Legion of Decency affected the industry and how it changed once the code was abolished, the development of visual effects in film, and how the movies today are total crap compared to the days of old. And there's also home projects, ranging from setting up a mini home theater, to upgrading the bathroom, kitchen, keeping up the yard, and painting what needs painting. These are not the favorite of my hobbies, but satisfying nonetheless.

Construction has begun on another of the parks at the resort. What could it be?
  25. If you do get to a point that you are ready to play Planet Coaster, Planet Coaster 2 may be the better choice. I've upgraded my pc twice since I originally got the first Planet Coaster, and big parks still run slow as molasses on my new lightning fast rig. PC1 is so poorly optimized, as they used DirectX 11. PC2 uses DirectX 12 and benefits greatly from that. The jury is still out how well it handles large parks. And Frontier is still adding things, so who knows how it will compare to the first game once all features are in place. But there are so many things that are vastly improved over the first game, I can't see myself ever going back once I've finished the parks I began in that game.
