Construction begins on Wonder's second major park...Water World
  2. Such a great project. I love how you've combined elements from the different existing parks, along with adding your own original ideas. What a fun park!
  3. Looks great! I'm assuming the layout of the city area is purely fictional, using landmarks and various styles from the era. It's not an actual replica of the city blocks as they really existed??
  4. Has it been 2 years already? The site looks great and I look forward to many more years. I hope to see the community continue to grow.
  5. That's the exact reason I initially created the set...for the doors in my WOW resort. This looks great so far. The only thing that looks out of place are those lush, green hills of LA. Yes, it would need many years of decent rainfall to create that. And where is the LA smog? Oh, that's right, it wasn't until the 60's or 70's that we got that. I can remember days where it was literally hard to breath on bad days. Oh, such memories...🥲
  6. I've had a request for more pics which might help in attempting to build this. A lot of these are construction shots. Unfortunately, I no longer have the RCT3 park file for this.
  7. shyguy's Tiny Font set
  8. It's not the windows per se, but what you can see through them. 😉
  9. Each park/hotel will be built on its own map. Lafitte Landing and Wonder Beach Boardwalk, which I began years ago in PC1, will be continued with that game. Wonder World, Water World, and the WOW Resort Hotel will be built with PC2. Animal World with Planet Zoo. I'm considering a 4th game for a future addition...
  10. This project will encompass multiple games, so each will be posted in its proper forum. Lafitte Landing, the first of the hotel complexes, is being built with PC1. Here is the link...https://parkcrafters.com/topic/535-lafitte-landing/
  11. The first hotel complex in the Worlds of Wonder Resort to begin construction is Lafitte Landing. This is actually the very first PC1 project I started when the game was first released. It was planned for Mr. Wonder's now abandoned project to be built in Bakersfield, CA. (The city counsel voted to throw him out of town, or something to that extent. I can't quite remember all of the sordid details) Anyway, my PC building skills weren't quite up to speed, so much refurbishing will be required to get this up to the standards of a proper Mr. Wonder project. More details on the Worlds of Wonder Resort can be found in this thread...https://parkcrafters.com/topic/518-worlds-of-wonder One of the six Veranda Houses at Lafitte Landing. Each will house 30 jumbo, family rooms, accommodating up to six guests. The original interior of the Veranda House, where I used vendor stalls and restrooms to entice guests to visit. Work begins on the new interiors. The old exterior of one of the units. The newly refurbished version. Peeking in the window.
  12. Yes, Wonder World will never die. No matter how many times I tell myself I'm done with that park, I still find myself wanting to rebuild and improve it.
  13. Sorry to repeat the previous number. Can't believe no one thought of this. (or do only west coast Disney fans know this?)
  14. I have just uploaded a set to the Downloads section which has never been released to the general public. It was a set I created to build a castle based on the Disneyland Paris Fantasyland castle. I figured some people might get some use out of it. There are tons of pieces, well over 150. It is mostly complete, but missing many icons. The scale of this is huge, as I had planned to add many things to the interior. I challenge anyone to actually build the castle using this set. Good luck. 😉 If anyone does want to attempt to build this, I have more in-progress photos that I can upload that might help.

Never before released, in-progress set featuring more than 150 pieces used to create shyguy's Fantasy castle, based on the Disneyland Paris Fantasyland castle. The set is mostly complete, but is missing many icons.
  15. In a nutshell...Yes. The addition being Animal World, which I had originally planned to build with the Wild expansion to RCT3. But now I have Planet Zoo. This project will probably take about 100 years to complete 🤪, and the sad thing is that I have at least 3 more ideas for parks for the "Future Expansion" areas. 😬
  16. Likewise, I'll be making stuff for my parks. If anyone else can use them, great. (Pretty much the way I worked in RCT3) Also, I suspect most will be fairly simple creations, as my model building has always been very simple objects made up of simple shapes. The hardest and most time consuming part is finding and making the textures look good in game. And dealing with failed imports with "unknown errors". I spent hours submitting and re-submitting an item, just to finally discover I had mis-named the icon file. But the TMTK website couldn't tell me this, and I went back to Blender, re-doing stuff over and over until I finally discovered my stupid mistake. I'm also using MsRedNebula's tutorials, but using Blender 4.4, so the UI is much different. Luckily there's Google and Co-Pilot which are also great for getting step by step instructions for the latest version. I installed the TMTK plug-in, which has helped greatly, although it messes up when making LODs, and sometimes my models self destruct in game as I move the camera away. But regardless, I'm having a ball. Feels like back in the RCT3 days.
  17. I just checked your workshop page. You've made over 1400 objects as of today!!! You HAVE been busy. I've just imported my first object today. I have a long way to catch up with you. Actually, I don't plan on making too many objects. Just a few for some parks I'm going to finish up in PC1. Then I'll move over to PC2. Too bad none of these objects can be ported into that game. Maybe in the future...
  18. We have a Nintendo World at Universal Studios Hollywood, which I assume would have it too. I haven't been in years, but thinking about going soon.
  19. I doubt Mr. Wonder, nor I, will live to see this completed. 😉 But seriously (well, maybe I am serious) this will take years, and most likely will be the last project I work on. We'll see how far I get before senility overcomes me.
  20. Big News in San Diego Here's a snippet of the front page story in the local paper. Here's an aerial image of Balboa Park from Google Earth. Mr. Wonder's plans for the new Worlds of Wonder Resort.
  21. Hi, iEddiez. Those ultra wide monitors look cool, but they're too big for my workspace. I'm so jealous.

So far I'm leaning towards the Alienware 32 4K QD-OLED Curved Gaming Monitor.
  23. I'm very familiar with these maps, as I own many books on Walt and Imagineering. It will be fun to see these early plans come to life.
