  1. tbh i do like the theme of the pack a lot. maybe because im a big hp fan or maybe because i was thinking about building such an area for some time now. but i also have to be very honest that i did expect something more towards a spooky set which in my opinion would also be more versatile for different themes. what i realy dont like is the swing launch "feature" now being locked behind a paywall and frontier simply going the easy route once again. instead of giving us this feature of all switch tracks, maybe even expand switch tracks to other ride models they decided to again put up limitations. the deciding factor if im gonna get this dlc depends on the patch notes and how the game runs when the updates out. i think the flying theatre is a step in the right direction. we dearly need more of these modern and/or themepark flatrides. on a last note, i think now with the dlc dropping next week there will be no spooky this year. if they go for the 3 months release schedule id guess they will give us a christmas thingy in december and maybe leave spooky for next years season.
  2. I think this pack will see a lot of Harry Potter areas start to be created. The flying theater will allow parks to have a simulator attraction. Overall, not a bad start in terms of the DLC list. I agree with some of the statements here on it being a side-step from attractions in PC1 while continuing to add and improve features seen in PC1 to this sequel. Interested to see what DLCs they have plan as it can get interesting.
  3. The walls, roofs, and windows seem to have some usefulness in non-wizardry projects, but it kind of goes downhill from there. Really hope that after this they get back to giving us things that exist in multiple parks, not just one. I like that they didn't make anything that was redundant with PC1's Spooky pack, but that's because I'm hoping they'll just give us that pack back for free and then we can mix the two together.
  4. Yet once again (I know...*groan*...) we head back for our tour! The next area was something I came up with to fill a large empty spot on the bench. I had seen a really fantastic blueprint of the Toy Story Mania ride at DisneySea in Japan by Banjotails , but it didn't really fit into that space, so I moved some parts of the blueprint around, duplicated a section, rotated it and added it on. There wasn't enough room to add an actual ride, but I came up with the idea of turning it into "Animation Plaza", a spot dedicated to Disney animation where there are character meet & greets, classes on drawing characters, and a theater showing Disney shorts. There's also a cafe, shopping, and restroom facilities. So while the basic structure maintains all of Banjotails clever designs, it serves a very different purpose here... Inside the main gate there's a plaza (duh...)... To the left the Big Cheese is waiting to greet you... To the right Minnie and Pluto are on stage. There's also restrooms and Clara Cluck's Nursery for "Lil' Peeps" Just past Mickey is Claribelle's Cafe... There's outdoor seating, and at the end is a stage where you can meet Donald Duck. Portraits of famous Disney characters line the walls... On the opposite wall movie posters from Disney's feature films are displayed... Of course there's a small shop selling Disney apparel and other themed items... Next door is the entrance to the Mickey Mouse Theater, which shows many Mickey Mouse and other Disney animated shorts... Looks like "Puppy Love" and "Plane Crazy" are today's features... Next door there's two Animation Studios, one where you learn how animation is created, the other where you learn to draw different Disney characters yourself... Through the portal you come to a secluded courtyard with food and beverage vendors, lot's of benches, and an antique pipe organ playing familiar Disney tunes... The exit from the Mickey Mouse Theater is also here... The tour continues...

I typically pop around, checking out the various PC2 Discord channels for any info on the game, and I can honestly tell you that Planet Coaster 2 is not dead. Frontier has ambitious plans for this game, which is what I already knew. It's sad that their poor communication with the community and the way they made some (seemingly) sudden decisions to stop support of the forums and the (possibly) end of the Unlocked streams created this mindset. The game got a horrible start, which was totally their fault, and they've spent the majority of this last year trying to fix that. And honestly, they still need to do quite a bit more fixing. But, there is a lot planned for this game and I do feel that a lot of new content is on the way. Whether or not Frontier can pull it off and give the community what it wants is still up for debate. But regardless, the game is certainly not dead.
  7. Professor Fate's House of Madness Fate's House of Madness is virtually untouched from its original version. The pre-show/waiting room.
  8. Hey everyone :D sorry for not posting that much lately, i honestly just didnt feel very motivated to write big posts or anything. just havent been feeling that well. i did however wanted to make a short post here about something new i did in the park. so i have this one big show building in my park, i was using it as a placeholder in the hopes of sometime being able to add a cinema flatride or something into it. however that showbuilding was just way to big and felt very missplaced in its location. ive decided to completely teardown said building and replace it with something new and much more exciting :) My idea was to build a mack stryker coaster and try to squeeze it into this very limited space. Space in itself was one of the biggest challenges in this new addition to the park. i did realy enjoy having that challenge of trying to get the most out of the space i had, it honestly contributet a lot in how the final coaster came out. next challenge was trying to come up with a theme or idea i could follow. so i came up with the idea of the "Grand hall of exhibition", an old industrial factory building where the greatest inventors come together for the inventors fair to showcase their newest machines. This is where Exhibition 77 comes into play. Professor Voltarius invites guests to showcase his new teleportation machine! I honestly also love the view from the mythology area much more. instead of looking at a green wall behind the buildings there is a now a beatifull skyline painted by coaster tracks. I hope you like this small update and as always i encourage you to go download the park and check the queue and ride out for yourself :) till next update where i will continue with the showcase of my areas

The Savannah Sweets Bakery. The Savannah Sweets Bakery, located near the entrance of the park, will be a perfect way to start your day, as well as end it, as it offers breakfast entries, fresh coffee, and a wide selection of desserts. Ample seating is available both inside and outside. A nice selection of desserts on display. (workshop item with some edits) The menus. The kitchen staff hard at work. (kitchen setting a la Frontier) Night is the perfect time to visit and sample some of the delectable desserts. Just waiting for the park to open and the guests to arrive.
  11. Caves are pitch black in the game. You have to set Global Illumination to "on" in the Settings. Otherwise, the game has the same crappy lighting as PC1.
  12. Well, they've got to make money somehow. Maybe they'll add the feature to other coasters in a later update. I'm still hoping we'll get something for Halloween...maybe some of the popular items from the old Spooky Pack in a small update, and save a new Halloween-themed DLC for next year. For Xmas, I'm hoping for snow and an arctic biome. Maybe revamp the weather system at that point as well.
  13. Similar to @shyguy there's nothing really in that set which floats my boat apart from the flying theatre (which has no lap bars for some reason?). The kids coaster also doesn't have shuttle / boomerang functionality apparently so is of little use to me. People seem to be obsessed with swing coasters though so I'm glad that's coming for them, but the rest of the set seems very meh. Still need alot more animatronics than what's been shown in that pack. Hopefully the update will be worth waiting for.
  14. I think I'm more excited about the things coming in the free update than anything in this new DLC. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with any new content, especially new scenery pieces, but the new rides don't excite me and I probably won't use any of them, aside from possibly the "Soarin' Theater". There's nothing very innovative in this. It's all very PC1 level. I expect this set was in the works very early in the game's development and the release was put off until they had time to bring the base game up to the standards people were expecting it to be in the first place. There are so many other things people are asking for, and I do expect to see some of those things coming to future DLC sets. So, it's a nice start. Hopefully we'll get better later on.

I've probably tweaked the design and several elements of these restrooms more than anything else in this build so far. I expect I'll find more things to change in the future. No, I'm not anal at all.
  16. Thank you all for the kind comments!! "Crafter's Pass" is my version of Dollywood's Crafstman Valley (couldn't come up with a more original name, sorry). Silver Dollar City also has local artisans and tradespeople scattered about their park making cool things by hand and sometimes giving demonstrations. So I wanted to capture that cozy/rustic/mountain aspect somewhere in the park before things get all coaster crazy. I'm guessing I had to build over 30 unique structures for this area, pretty much copying existing buildings from those 2 parks and trying to rename and retheme them slightly. This area also has one flat ride and a small junior coaster, an indoor performance venue for various shows and local musicians, one full restaurant (still under construction) and too many other quick serve food options to list. Still detailing this area and currently not doing any interiors for it (there would be way too many and most wouldn't serve any functional purpose.) More to come from this area...

I'm glad to hear all of this, and will completely admit I've been concerned since launch that they would end up doing a couple of quick patches and walk away from their losses, thus killing the genre for another decade. (There was a financial report for the investors that sort of implied that could happen.) That, plus the surprisingly low sales numbers of the PC franchise compared with zoo, and the low numbers overall of PC2 compared to PC1 at this time. And then maybe I was spoiled by 5 months of updates with content and when things got dark for a couple of months I panicked again. I really do want this game to succeed, but like Shyguy said there is still a lot of work to do.
  18. Hey everybody Today im introducing u a project I made about a year ago and it actually took a really hard work and due to the amount of ctrs /csos are placed the game kept crashing but I actually kept trying and so outta of nowhere the park just decided to crash at 80% everytime I open it which caused me to give up and i was disappointed but like about a week ago I honestly didnt want the project to die because that was probably my biggest project yet so ye I just kept trying different programs (parkcleanup/LAA) till actually the park opened normally now this is actually the unfinished but im trying to use the some of the feedbacks i got so I can give the besy version possible Big thanks to @Xecronius and @Cody for the help and the feedback they gave to me so I can improve my future parks and stuff

Frontier invited several of the big youtube content creators to their studios, and one in particular, is gushing about what he learned and seems extremely excited about the future of the game. https://www.reddit.com/r/PlanetCoaster/comments/1n9w2ly/so_cats_out_of_the_bag_then_mind_you_it_was_never/?share_id=n9B_4MG5mr-BPZzxqZEZ9&utm_content=2&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=1

Thanks, guys, for your input. I might look into brightening the font. Things look very different depending on the lighting and time of day in this game. It might look great at night, not so much during the day. And there's a huge different in the saturation of the colors when something is in the shade vs in direct sunlight. Getting colors and lighting right in this game is definitely a challenge.

I never liked the WONDERful Memories photo shop sign (I've always struggled with signage), so it's been replaced. I think this fits the color scheme of the shop much better. Now, I'm still not sure about those topiaries. The old sign.
  27. I have to admit, I am very pleasantly surprised and delighted that this is all new material, and not Planet Coaster 1.5 with just reworked Spooky DLC. I really liked the new scenery bits and am looking forward to seeing everything. One of the videos I watched seem to indicate that entertainers were going to be somewhat customizable, which is pretty neat. My one small gripe is there are only two flat rides, neither of which seem to me to be very functional (at least for me!)

As Wagi noted, the watermelon has made another cameo; and this time it brought a friend! And I refuse to acknowledge his 'lamp puns', aka, 'lampoons'. I noticed the Death's-head moth even before Wanda shaid sho. And as George Takei would say, "Ohhh myyyy!" So this is where Walt Disney's Head has been stashed. And what does he mean, "I'm free!" How is he going to get out? Use his tongue? Maybe he meant "I'm freezing!". Now I'm wondering if the Wonders will remove Uncle Walt from the freezer. "We have foliage!" I immediately thought of the line from "Twister", "We have cows!" And I suppose the park has those too? Y'know, yer almost as silly as I am.

Nice improvement, and I agree with you about the in-game fonts. Granted it's more than we had in PC1 but most of them seem kind of useless. They should really let us install our own fonts. I'll add that to the list of things I want. EDIT: just noticed the new floor. Def more fitting for a restroom entrance.

The signs around Expo 3000 are all being replaced. (Changing from in-game font to billboards. While the game's fonts are a big upgrade from PC1, they have there own set of problems, especially when viewed from a distance.) A screenshot of the original Restrooms sign.
  31. It's a separate program, you can get it here: https://reshade.me/forum/shader-discussion/2120-download Can be used for any game, there's a part during installation where you select which game(s) you want it to be applied to. Once installed you can toggle it on or off while in game, and change settings at any time. For these photos today I pulled back on a bunch of my settings to focus only on toning the saturation a bit but giving it more color than my ghost town screenshots. It's also fairly easy to uninstall. Also worth noting: It doesn't seem to affect framerates, as I've filled up almost half a map now with no significant FPS loss. Bodes well for Wonder World, I think. 😉

  37. I am happy things worked out. This is a massive fair-based park that is impressive to see in this nearly 21-year-old game. Now I want fair food 😅.

Maybe an OZ ATTRACTION...of course it would end up being an entire park... LOL!
  41. Looking forward to re-reading his explanation, I really don't remember it that well. I think it involves voodoo, the flat earth theory, and vampires or werewolves...

Well, NOW we can have Yellow Brick Roads without making them in TMTK...
  43. LOL! That spiral is made up of, I think, 5 or 6 individual TMTK pieces that fit together, since the size limit on custom scenery in PC1 is 8mX8 m. I made it first in SketchUp, divided it into sections that fit within the 8mX8m limit, then imported it into Blender and then the Editor. Unfortunately the textures got slightly shifted in the process, which is why they don't quite line up on a piece or two as you can see in the screenshot. After fiddling with it and remaking it multiple times I finally gave up and decided to blame it on Dinkie Doolittle, the cross-eyed brick layer from Quadling Country who was the low bidder on the construction of the Yellow Brick Road...
  44. Another CT request! Perhaps a Giovanola Hyper like Goliath or Titan

I do hope they've resolved that issue, currently it's almost pointless to attempt a dark ride.

Is anyone talking about the glowing green smoke rising from the cauldron? Presently, none of the smoke effects show up at night in PC1 or PC2 from what I recall.
  47. Well, maybe Glinda did float in again. But I'd wager that she's just engaging in her bad habit of chewing bubble gum. (She won 1st prize, for biggest bubble, at the Oz County Fair.) I love the whimsical, friendly look of Munchkinland. So Oz-y!
  48. I wonder if Someone can make a Superman Ride Of Steel Ct to honor Six Flags America since its closing in November
