Well, the topiaries in front of the WONDERful Memories Photo Shop died due to lack of sunlight. So, these shade-loving palms have been planted, to match the other foliage beneath the Spaceport. Inside, we've now got images on the screens.
  2. Thank you so much! My intention was to create a different theme from the original PC2 themes. Thanks! I added the Himalaya mountains very late but it is so important. Thanks! Yes, some mountains are not on the map. But there is a hack to build scenery beyond park borders. Thank you shyguy Kailash Trail of the Sherpa Today I will show you some pictures from the inside. The ride is going to be 50% indoor. The video will be released on 19th October!
  3. Thanks JB, I'm flattered you remember any of that cra-- I mean, majestical works of art! 😁 Well this video would've packed a little more punch if I hadn't just posted the best pics of this area a couple days ago. But if you enjoy hearing me make a fool of myself, this clip will be a treasure trove.
  4. WINNERThe votes are in... and the 2025 Quarter 4 ParkScape winner is... BOOKWORM91 Congratulations to Bookworm91! This was a very close competition, with Bookworm91 only winning by one vote! We plan on doing these ParkScape competitions every quarter of the year, so you can expect the next one around January 2026. Until then, and congratulations again to Bookworm91!
  5. Welp, here we are...finally diving into PC2 for the first (public) time and exploring what we can do! I don't know much about what this is, other than it's some combination of a park and a sandbox where I can play and tinker with what the game provides to see just how different PC2 is from PC1. So first off, I'm starting with something that's comfortable and interesting, and I'm honestly so overjoyed with the results. I'm not saying pride is the reason you're seeing this now, but I wouldn't deny it either. Anyway, I built a wing coaster in PC2! My first public PC2 coaster is a wing rider with custom inversions. That's right, this is not only my first shared coaster from the game, but the first time I've ever built my own inversions. I know damn well that smoothing tool is working hard to make this thing work, and honestly? I'm okay with it. Enough jabbering: POV! I legitimately have no plans past this point. I think I'm gonna lean into the rustic, woodsy vibe that I do like...all the time, but past that, I truly don't know what's next. So let me know what you think of the coaster, and we'll see what happens next together! - StickyGum32

The Transportation Center RCT3 version PC1 version I'm very happy with the way it turned out in PC2. This version will be much truer to the version I created in the original model. In PC1, the Transit Center interior was huge...mall sized. This version will be scaled back to the size and shape in the model. This is the PC1 version. Although impressive, it was nearly double the size of the original model, and looked nothing like it. The Auto Raceway was moved over here, so you had to enter the Transport Center to access it. The PC2 version, so far. It's much smaller, but truer to the original concept, which was based on the old Horizons building at Epcot. The RCT3 version of the fountain sculpture inside the atrium was pretty atrocious. In the abandoned Wonder World 2 project in RCT3, the fountain sculpture looked pretty good. I pretty much hated the PC1 version. I tried to give it a slight organic look in PC2 to match the new palms and foliage, new to this version. (There were planters along the edge of the atrium in the model, which finally made it to my digital version.) So there it is. I still don't love it. Maybe it needs some texture, but not possible using the art shapes. Any suggestions are appreciated. It does look nice at night, though.

I just can't stop making changes. Thanks to a new Lockers Blueprint by RoboticI, the lockers now have new latches and keypads.
  8. When I was pretty young, I was with my brother at Adventureland in Iowa I think it was the year they opened The Tornado which at the time was the biggest wooden coaster in Iowa, may still be. We were in line to ride it and behind us weas a group of older guys, I think there were three or four in their group. One of they guys named Leon was scared to ride The Tornado we could hear his friends saying "come on Leon you got to ride this thing!" and more conversation like that the entire time in line. Leon on the other hand kept saying wasn't going to ride, I think he was hoping there was a chicken exit at the top of the ramp, he kept saying "No way man I ain't getting on that thing!" Once we got to the top of the ramp and were next to get on a train these guys were right behind us, My brother and I were in one of the first two seats, the group of friends behind us and Leon, did not make his exit. All the way up the lift hill he was scared out of his mind. After the firs drop though he started to have the time of his life. "Everybody put your hands up!" he yelled at the top of the second hill, "Put em up again" at the top of the third hill. This wend on until the ride was over. As we ere exiting we could hear Leon saying, "Come on guys we gotta ride this again!" Something we have never forgotten to this day, we are both much older now but if we are at Adventureland together and getting on the Tornado one of us will quote Leon.
  9. Welcome to Grimmworld Step inside the newest Portal World in Wonderverse. Adventure awaits you in the village of harrowdale and the Grimmvale Woods. Many new experiences for guests to enjoy their time in this spooky area. From a stage show over to a wild spinning coaster... or maybe a little drink/snack at the Burning Blade Tavern? Right next to Ehibition 77 a new pathway leads guest from the main hub to Grimmworld Right after travelling trough the portal guests will end up in the abandoned cemetary area of the Village. A short walk trough the cursed fog, following the sound of the chappels bells and youll end up in the safety of Harrowdale. Harrowdale is a very dark village. A Village battered and plagued by hauntings, monsters and beasts. Most Villagers have already left but some appear to still be living inside the ruins, having salvaged whatever is possible, borading up their doors and windows. Despite the dangers surround the village there is still the regular visitors "The Cursed Company". A group of "freaks, monster and witches" that wanders from village to village presenting their "Nightmares Unleashed" show. Its a Setup of two tents. The waiting area and the show tent. In the waiting area there are many requisites and antiquities for guest to watch. Theres also some Vending Machines for snacks and drinks for the show. As soon as the perfomers are ready, guests are allowed into the show tent. Now heading out of the Village into more dangerous areas. Grimmvale Woods. Grimmvale Woods is home of the Werewolf. Guests will board a spinning vehicle taking them on a wild ride trough the forest and even in and out of the Werewolfs hut. His curse cannot be broken. How often will guests dare to face this neverending hunt for the Werewolf? And last but not least, the bburning blade tavern overs some hauntingly good drinks and dinning options. (please note that the tavern itself is not build by me, its only a bit modified by me. credit goes to Jstanz01) Oh and a small bonus. This is the epic Frankenstein Manor which is currently not housing any kind of attraction. Im still hoping to see the kuka ride coming to the game somtime soon. but im also starting to think about possible alternatives to put in there. Have fun with the new update everyone :D Wonderverse V1.80 - Planet Coaster 2 modWonderverse, Travel trough portals into magical new worlds. A huge megapark is waiting to be explore
  10. I'm still waiting for them to start to engage with the community. I visit their official Discord server daily. There is no engagement going on there. The Suggestions thread must have about 300 entrees or so and I'm wondering when or if we will ever see a single one of these added to the game. I can't imagine the devs or any of the higher ups are actually taking the time to read through this massive list. There is absolutely no response nor even acknowledgement from Frontier regarding any of the suggestions. And so many bugs and glitches are being posted that have gone unresolved since the game was released. And sadly, new ones introduced by many of the updates. Rudi states how Frontier wants to open up communication lines with the community, but they don't seem to understand that communication is a two-way street.
  11. Here's a few night screenshots...mostly because I think the game sometimes looks better at night (or at least you don't notice as many of the bloopers anyways...) Next up...the imaginatively named "Old Town"!
  12. Sorry...escaped to one of my happy places for three weeks...a joint or two near the center of the State of Florida you might have heard of? Had a great time, but, as always, one has to return to real-life occasionally! My rear end grumbled the entire trip home, mostly about the terrible seat but about having to leave too I'm sure... Some of the OZ TMTK items are currently set to be viewed by the public, I'll try to add the rest if anyone cares to download! I might even bundle some of the non-OZ specific ones into downloadable zip files. Most - but certainly not all - are Oz specific, but there a few things that might find a use in other themes. On the Workshop almost all of them are identified with the prefix "OZ", and they show up when doing a search for "Oz" under the TMTK tab. There are a few billboards used in the park, there's also some TMTK items shaped and sized to match billboards and used instead in an attempt to get around the problem with having a large number of billboards experienced by some. The rest were indeed TMTK items Many of the signs were created using a great site called Kittl.com...I highly recommend them. They had a huge selection of fonts, graphics, and templates available to use, you can even upload your own images to insert into your designs. It's free to use for a limited number of designs (of course if you create, download and then delete a design you available count goes back up, but I didn't tell you that... If a dummy like me can come up with halfway decent signage, just think what some of you can do!
  13. Wonder Beach Pier is ready for opening day. The Sea Wheel is its prominent attraction. The Ice Cream stand serves tasty treats. The first brand new attraction since the park began its refurbishment...The Pedal Boats. The Pedal Boats was in the RCT3 version, but was impossible in the PC1 version until the addition of the TMTK. A fleet of 12 Swan Pedal Boats makes up the attraction, which provide a capacity of 36 guests per 1/2 hour. Obligatory night time view.
  14. COMMUNITY UPDATE #9 - October 1, 2025 It's time for our next community update, and with it brings the spooky season! We have lots of news and updates for you all today, so dive into all the tricks and treats! This is Halloween, Everybody Make a Scene! Our Halloween/Autumn theme returns with updated colors, elements, and other visual candy sprinkled throughout the site! This new theme was rebuilt from the ground up to work with our UI/UX update that was rolled out earlier this year. You can swap between the dark (Halloween) theme or the light (Autumn) theme via the theme selector on the bottom left corner of every page on our community. Our default ParkCrafters theme is also always available, should you want to use the normal theme, which can also be found on the bottom left corner of every page. Our Discord server has also seen a Halloween makeover! Our Halloween/Autumn theme runs from October 1st, 2025, until November 1st, 2025. Trick or treat! Organizing the OrganizationSince ParkCrafters was created, we hosted a forum for each supported game in our community. Each category was mostly filled with projects that members would post, which is great to see, but left newer members wondering where they can post general news/discussions for each game. This wasn't very clear from our category view perspective, so we've added dedicated sub-categories to each game on ParkCrafters. Each forum game will now host sub-categories of Discussions, Projects, Support, and Tutorials & Articles to help organize and better convey where members can post what. All existing topics have been moved to their appropriate location as well. We hope this helps everyone understand where they can post their content or discussions! Discord-ifying the DiscordTo further drive home our organization tweaks, and with an increase in activity on our Discord server, we've also updated our Discord to better show channels and categories for each game. New channels, categories, and voice channels for further organization have been added! We've also added some extra fun things, such as soundboard effects, emojis, and stickers, to our server. Be sure to join our Discord and hop on a call sometime to check it all out! Smile for the Camera - Introducing ParkScape!Earlier this year, we sent out a survey to better understand what members want out of ParkCrafters. One of the feedback we got was more competitions, but when we would host a competition, we found that not many people would follow through with it all the way to the end. We still want to host those full-on from scratch project competitions, but we also wanted to provide something a bit more casual that doesn't require as much work, so many more people can participate in it. Introducing ParkScape, our screenshot competition! Once every 3 months, ParkCrafters will host a ParkScape competition where anyone can submit a screenshot from any of their currently being worked on or future projects in any game we host on our community for public voting. The winner will receive a badge that further upgrades with each additional win you receive! Signups for 2025's Quarter 4 ParkScape is now open and can be found here, along with more information regarding the competition. We hope to see many awesome screenshot entries! Let's Get Spoopy!ParkCrafters will be hosting a fun, small Halloween event on our Discord server on October 30th, 2025, to help celebrate Halloween! Join us as we have a discussion on scary theme park stories, interesting theme park facts, and some fun and games, followed by a viewing of a classic Halloween (non-scary, don't worry!) film. You can RSVP on our Discord server or via our Events page here to be reminded of the event. You Know the Drill - More Bug Squishing!More bugs found, more bugs fixed! Changes here and there to the Spaceport area. The new Storage Lockers sign. And yet more changes to the Restrooms. Original version of the Restrooms.
  16. Thank you for all the nice replies. I edited the first post so that everyone can see the pictures. I've been working on the video for several months now. Most of the parts for Planet Coaster 2 are finished. Right now, I'm working on the final details for the final video. The entire ride will last about 5 minutes. Here you can see one of the area of the ride. The palace.

A bumpy ride as you go under the pass.
  18. The Lollipop Guild really shines at night! [img] [img] I wonder where this path leads? [img] Cool! [img] Heading back through Munchkinland, [img] Which way do we go? [img] At last we encounter; [img] There's also a cute little boat ride here; [img] [img] That wraps up our look at bench one of the Wonderful World of OZ. I will post the park file in the next few days! Hopefully, you have been keeping up with the sheer volume of CS that Wagi has created for the park. You can certainly download the file and enjoy it, but the real experience comes from ensuring you have all 500+ CS pieces!!! 😁

The Chief Beef burger stand has been re-branded as the Portside Grill.
  20. Here's another one I remember. Again, on a trip to Disneyland, we talked my aunt into riding Big Thunder Mountain. Now she's not a fan of thrill rides or coasters, but BTM is pretty tame where most coasters are concerned. Heck, I have no problem with it and I'm a complete wuss when it comes to coasters. Well, from the second we headed down the first drop, my aunt began to scream bloody murder. If you've seen any youtube videos of people on slingshot rides...well that was my aunt. And I was sitting right next to her as she screamed "OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!!" I seriously thought she was going to die of a heart attack right there in the car. Believe me, it wasn't funny at the time, but it is now, thinking back on it.

The Gateway Gifts are a pair of gift shops, each located at the exit gates. I never got to building these in PC1, so this is the first version since the RCT3 build. Flying saucers, anyone? The two shops are virtually identical, except for the color change of the display props and the color of the wallpaper.

Haunted Highlands returns. I Some are familiar with this project, its been on going for years now and I have been out of it for a bit to work on some PC2 stuff but jumped in again to transform the park for Halloween again. There is a whole history to this park that, maybe I will get into later.

Let me tell you about my park, or start to any way. Highland Lakes has a history that goes back to the gold rush days in California but the most relevant portions of the history where when the property briefly served as a fair grounds. The pavilion, which we call the Field House most of the time now, and the Fright House during Haunted Highlands, dates back to this era. Today however the only portion of the structure that dates back that far is the castle like original entrance. The current venue seating arena has been restored to it's original footprint and hosts a circus most of the year, during the Highland Music Festival it serves as one of the stages and most recently James Hype headlined. Since those early days, let's just say things changed a little bit The park is the largest park in the Fox Amusements chain, other than California Spectrum which, is multiple attractions so, as a single park it is the largest and likely always wil be. The park was fairly substantial when Fox Amusements acquired it but it has been expanded many times since that time. There are 15 major roller coaster, numerous other rides, theaters, pavilions and other entertainment. If we get into more of the history we will cover why there are 15 major coasters. The park expansions were the reason for the massive parking structure, this replaced parking lot space that was re-used for more attractions. (On a fun note this is the first time I ever bothered to include any parking infrastructure in any park I have built in Roller Coaster Tycoon or PC games.) This is the entrance plaza, This is the 3rd entrance the park has had, and the second in this general location. The original entrance still stands, the original buildings are still in the park although one was moved to a different location. The old entrance area is now used for a stage area during the Highland Music Festival. The entrance was moved to this side of the park not long after Fox Amusements purchased the property, it was part of what was then a strategy to expand the park as an amusement park and it allowed for greater crowd flow. The current entrance was added a few years ago because the previous one was no longer adequate for the parks size and amount of visitors. you can see, it will be fairly difficult to get this area too congested. I mean, look at all this space! This was mostly all parking lot before. Maybe the most unique train station you will find in any park that has a train. Pardon all the fog, these photos were taken at Halloween time and we transform the town square into The Magician's Square every year. (For those who know this park was my first RCT3 park, it started out very small and became huge, and this is a re-imagining of it in PC1.This station, is a massive improvement over what I had in the RCT3 park. Much smaller in scale for one, and a far better design, but in some ways it pays homage to the RCT3 version. I spent a lot of time on this, and reworked it a few times as we had more content and better scenery items in the game that could get me closer to what I wanted. ) I am running into technical difficulties uploading any more images so, maybe this is a good time to stop for now. Let me know if you want more history... I don't want to be dull.

  28. sssh, keep this a secret... Full text transcript; Good afternoon, Further to our recent meetings I am writing to confirm that Wet ‘n Wild Waterparks accept the terms of operating a waterpark on the Beechwood Studios premises and forming the Beechwood Resort. The location is to be accessed via the existing car park and via the studio entrance. This means that Wet ‘n Wild could operate independently of the theme park if required, such as off season. Wet ‘n Wild Waterparks are to build and operate the waterpark with Beechwood having final sign off of theming, quality and attractions. This is to be very much a Beechwood Attraction as much as a Wet ‘n Wild park. As it stands, ticketing is to be a joint venture too. Guests can enjoy a split ticket to enjoy the studios Theme Park and the Waterpark for one price. Independent tickets are also available. This is a partnership that has been years in the making and Wet ‘n Wild Waterparks are keen to make this a success for both companies. We also appreciated the access to the site ahead of formal contracts to allow our surveyors to plan accordingly. We would expect the majority of construction to take place on the Beechwood off season. As of now, we have five planned slide complexes and one large pool, with the ambition of expanding beyond the initial plot if this is a successful project. Following the removal of our flagship park some years ago we’re really excited to bring the Wet ‘n Wild Waterparks brand to the UK. We cannot wait to open our gates. Kindest regards, David Hodge CEO Wet ‘n Wild Waterparks

You may remember me, or if not Hi there. Some of you I have known through various forums and Discord for, a long time. For the rest of you, I am not as bad as they say I am. I do something completely different to earn a living, but I grew up fascinated with parks, carnivals, fairs and the like, I always liked how things looked at night the best and thus, you will note I tend to put a lot of thought into lighting and you will see a lot of nighttime screen shots from me. My style was more around amusement parks and that is what Fox Amusements initially was, but its been shifting to more themed and higher quality in the parks for a while now, going back to RCT3. I am sure I will bore people with that at some point if I get into the history of Fox Amusements and why they are, how they are. I had been poking around here for a while, thought since I recognize several names why not just get on board!
  32. Not as funny as my other entry, but still should get an honorable mention. :^þ Almost a year after The Small World Affair, we're in DLA again, this time it's just me, my father, mother, SO, and our 6-month-old son. It's Christmas time, so the decorations are all out, the park is packed, but we're still having a lot of fun. That's when the rain started. Ten minutes later, everyone in the park is desperately seeking shelter from the MONSOON RAINS that are drenching everyone not under cover. It's so bad, they have to stop all the rides. We were headed towards Pirates of the Caribbean by way of the Adventureland hub entrance, and stopped under a tiny bit of overhang on the north side of the entrance gate. Dad runs over to Coke Corner to see if there's room for us in the Main Street buildings, but they're full to overflowing already. So we have to make do with the 3 square feet of cover we have. (of course, our son's stroller takes up most of that, and I'm shielding him from spatter with my body) After what seemed like an hour of torrential downpour pounding on my back, water pooling on the ground so much that I'm standing in a 4" river, all of us absolutely soaked, (except for sleepy boy who missed the whole thing) the rain finally lets up. (in reality, it was probably only 15 minutes or so) That's when we hear... "LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER, ALL ATTRACTIONS ARE NOW CLOSED. WE HOPE YOU HAVE ENJOYED YOUR STAY AT THE HAPPIEST KINGDOM OF THEM ALL, DISNEYLAND.." At this point I'm so upset I'm beyond tears... I'm fuming mad! We have to head home the next morning, so there's no coming back tomorrow. In fact, due to finances, we won't be doing this again for a year at least. (which has its own funny story attached to it, but I digress...) Didn't I say this was a funny story? Wait for it... So we're trudging our way back to our nearby hotel, Dad's disappointed that he won't be getting any more pictures of his newest grandson's first DLA trip, Mom's disappointed but taking it in stride like she always does, my SO is laser-focused on getting back to the hotel to change into dry clothes, our son is still sound asleep, and I'm still pretty POed. We just exit the park into the Esplanade between DL and DCA when we all see this little girl, about maybe 6, jumping in a giant puddle, splashing around, giggling like mad, and then yells to her exasperated mother... "THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!" I stopped short, watching her a moment, then started giggling along with her. She reminded me what it was like to be a little girl at Disneyland again. It was physically impossible for me to not enjoy everything there. Being there was my first memory and will probably be my last. It's my laughin' place. After a moment of standing there holding my son's stroller and giggling like a school girl for about a full minute, my mom comes up to me, puts her arm around my shoulder and says, "Come on, baby. Let's go get dried off, changed, then come back and see what's what." So we did, and we came back to a nearly empty Disneyland with all the rides back up and running. Everything was a walk-on... even big draws like Space Mountain and Star Tours. On top of that, the park was pristine and smelled wonderful! We got to go on so many rides, we eventually got tired of them and sat down to watch the Christmas Fantasy Parade. Everything was perfect... until... There was a Goofy's Kitchen float near the end of the parade. We were parked in front of The Emporium watching when the kitchen made an awful sound and came to a grinding halt. The cast members didn't even miss a beat... they just kept right on dancing with a smile. The soundtrack started over, and so did the CMs... and over... and over... and over... After about 20 minutes of hearing the Goofy's Kitchen portion of the soundtrack on repeat, most of the other guests had left, going further up Main Street to see the rest of the parade and go on to other things, and my family all suggested doing likewise. See, by this time the sun was down and the water on the street and buildings were all evaporating, making the temperature drop to about 6° Kelvin... :^þ but the dancers kept right on dancing. (I'm sure it was basic survival at that point... if they stopped they'd likely freeze to the street and die of hypothermia) I refused to go. "If THEY can take it, WE can take it! We aren't wimpy city-folk! We're Northern Nevadans! I won't leave until THEY can!" My SO looked at me like I'd suggested I give birth to a rabbit, shrugged, and sat back down to watch the parade. After 40 minutes (and about 10 more rounds of the same part of the song) a little electric tow truck came out and towed the float the rest of the way along the parade route, finally going back stage and reliving me of my duty to stick it out with those CMs. We then went and got some hit chocolate, laughing like hatters, and enjoyed the rest of the best day at DLA ever!
  33. I realy couldnt agree more with you. The suggestions seciton is flooded with repeated requests, theres no moderation or merging of threads and it all just seems like a huge mess. Ive also noticed that out of the 100 questions in the stream question thread, they seemed to have only picked out 2-3 from there, locked the thread and told us „maybe in the future we get to answer more“. Sorry but that just created the impression of trying to make us feel involved when we are actualky not. Also out of all the suggested rides they decided to waste a dlc ride slot for the gale force, and that is at a time and point where they NEED players back in the game. Again it just creates this feeling of „hey we are trying to involve the community but realy were just doing our own thing anyway“.
  34. I honestly dont know what to think of this. Most of times i realy dont like to give any galue to influencers or content creators who directly with the company. Humans are humans, they are biased in their views if they want or not. I also dont see why i should value the words of someone who is already claiming that and unreleased game is gonna be game of the year. For me this was exactly one of the many issues with planco 2 release. We had content creators getting inside infos, hyping us up to the max only to then get a broken and unfinished product delivered. They even hyped us for switch tracks, but nobody even had the thought of asking or researching for us whether those would be limited to certain ride models or in the way they could be used, just to give an example. For those reasons, i realy dont watch any planco content creators anymore. Regarding the future of the game, in my personal view and opinion, i still think frontier is far off from the path they need to take to truly make the game better. We see this in basically every sspect of the game and still feel the consequences of the botched release. The game still suffers from so many gameplay related issues and game mechanics simply not working as they should. Instead of focusing on fixes and improvmenets it seems we ate back to the normal schedule. And update every 3-4 months, some 26 bugfixes, a dlc to sell alongside the „free update“, and vacuum during those months inbetween. And lets not forget that we still have qc issues where each update breaks anohter 5 things that were actually totally unrelated to the dtuff mentione in the patch notes. I just cant wrap my head around how they simply are ok with leaving ride triggers broken for 5 months now. The fact that game was just on its 9th sale in just 11 months is very telling that the financial success is far off from their expectations. I think this is exactly what we are feeling with the current situation. I dont see wny other logical explanation than budget cuts. Forum closed for budget cuts, the focus now being back to dlc and less updates might be due to budget cuts. The fact we havent seen any realy improvement on quality control might be due to budget cuts. The fact that there is basically near zero communication might be due to budget cuts. The fact we are not seeing any expansion on the restaurant feature and the gift shops tells me there might be also budget cuts hindering them to put ressources forward to this. another aspect i think that is not doing the game any favor is the partial „toxic positivity“ i see sometimes. The discord has had much more discussions lately regarding certain issues and bugs, yet for some reason a part from the community still persists on the point that there arent any real issues and the game is perfectly fine the way it is. Most of times these tend to be mostly people who only play the game for content, for creating blueprints or who simply just like to paint a nife themepark wuthout actually playing the game. I often find myself in the position where im bringing forward something i experienced only to get people telling me 100 different excuses on why i should not be bothered or why i should be more patient. Asking for updates on a bug related to the issue trackes itself i get told its not that deep and it probably already got fixed. Asking about when the next update is i get told to be more patient. Asking for patch notes regarding an update i get told „if they dont share it probably wasnt that important“. It seems people tend more snd more to be way to lenient and less demanding on certain things that simply put should not be viewed that way, especially when said company has already burned the community with a flopped release, false promises, misleading advertisement and constant lack of quality control. That in the end tends to send the wrong signals not only to the devs, but also to the community itself where they start to think they are not allowed to discuss anything critical. Im still not sure what to think of his game and frontier overall. The many lies that we got told, the many deceptions, the feeling of lack of care and attention towards the game… it all just makes me feel like they know they effed up and they dont even want to bother that hard anymore. This is not to disvalue everything they done so far, but they keep showing again and again that they seem to very picky about what feedback they take to heart. Im still building a bit on my park, but just this week i decided to open my park again just to enjoy it a bit. Sadly this once more showed me clearly that at certain points the game just starts to completely fall apart in all its aspects. It has many great features, but none of those realy feel complete and rounded off.
  35. I share those mixed feelings myself. The recent updates and the DLC were hopeful signs, as is the effort to renew community ties, but... As Citytrader pointed out, it still comes down to economics. With Frontier looking at two new simulation games coming in the next couple of years, when will they reach the point where their focus shifts to those new games and away from playing catch-up with PC2? I don't see them hiring on large numbers of new people to work on upcoming projects, but instead they may well shift people from one to another. Yes, they may well have some nice things already planned for PC2, but 'planned' isn't the same things as 'released'. The developer's intentions may be honest, but other factors can trump those intentions, even the best of them. If their efforts to get the game back on track don't bring the interest and sales, then the bean counters could still pull the plug. The great unknown is "WHEN"? Right now I get the feeling that they are trying hard to salvage PC2, but let's face it - it's not going to get anywhere near PC1's numbers. The damage has already been done, it's now too little - too late. It's like an auto after a car wreck - sure you can patch it and repaint it and even add extras like new floor mats, seat covers and one of them smelly tree-shaped air fresheners, but the fact is it still was wrecked and has less value than before the wreck. Can they still make a much better game out of it, even if the sales numbers don't come in that they expected? They certainly CAN, and perhaps they will as their efforts of late show. Maybe working to overcome some of the bad vibes many people still have against the company is worth also doing if it removes those bad vibes from clouding other future Frontier game sales? One thing I did see on this video was somewhat encouraging - while they continue to still just have contact and conversations with certain creators - it was good that they included creators who are more than just fan-boi types who are willingly blind to problems, but instead included people who have been vocal in pointing out flaws.
  36. Mixed emotions here. On the one side, independently from the video, lately I got the feeling that PC2 could be on the right way. On the other side, I remain skeptical. But I guess we can allow ourselves a bit of hope. My speculation: Maybe they focus on the biggest updates and DLCs ahead of Christmas, and maybe that's why there has been just a little over the whole year. But maybe that's wishful thinking.
  37. I saw this the other day myself. It's nice that they are finally recognizing that they seem to have lost some (or perhaps all) of the good will of the community, and they want to make that up. In my mind, it's a too little too late. Of course, in the final analysis, it will all come down to economics. I believe they have sold less than half the numbers on PC2 as they did PC1. The base game is now going for 40% off. Not sure what the numbers are on the new DLC, but is it profitable? It's great to talk about a long laundry list of new DLCs, rides, and what not, but if they don't make the projected numbers Frontier desires, they could just drop the project and move the staff onto something more profitable. It's a shame they didn't seem to want to engage the community during the first whole year the game was available. Sorry, but this just sort of reeks of desperation to me. And for the record, I like the game! So imagine what the nay-sayers and doom and gloomers are saying!
  38. I'm back playing RCT3 after a long time, but this time I'm back to recreate Downtown Dubai without any custom content. I'm enjoying this challenge since I've always wanted to recreate Downtown Dubai (especially the lake and fountain), but my building skills weren't that great (and now they're not, either, LOL). Anyway, I'd like to finish it and, if all goes well, make it available for download ;)) Here are some screenshots of my progress. I also plan to do some classic fountain shows (maybe at least two) so the audience can recreate the others or even add new ones!

Better double check this question, Wowman. Reagan was the first president to attend the Summer Olympic games in 1984, but FDR as governor of New York opened the Lake Placid games in 1932, then was elected president nine months later. So technically, he was the first president, (although you did mention sitting, so never mind!!!) Oh yeah, Taft (1909-1913) wore a gray suit with a waistcoat! Come to think of it, he ALWAYS wore a gray coat with a waistcoat!!! 🤣 Remember, history and civics teacher here!
  43. I started checking OZ TMTK items in the Workshop, and I so far from the first page I found of those all 300 items set to public, and available to look through and download if desired. There's 748 OZ items in total, so another 448 to look at, and most of them likely are set to public as well, but I'll check to make sure... Note that these items were made for our purposes, so not everything is perfect, some file sizes may be big, so take a moment to ponder before downloading, but you might find an item or two you could use and you are welcome to them. So far I've made just 78 TMTK items for my Mickey Mouse Park...so I really cut back! For those who recall our SGW days, I'm sort of the OSUDenny of Planet Coaster...LOL!

  45. 9 years! This project has gone on for 9 years! Time has flown by and this project has changed, even here on ParkCrafters. Below is one of the first images I took of this project. Looking back, I did not expect this project to get any attention at all. I had just remapped my screenshot keys and started sharing some random projects then World Of Discovery came to be after having this idea for years. I always liked doing Epcot-based parks, even though they were basically Epcot. I even saw posts recommending to not use such an Epcot-heavy theme for a park that wanted to be different. So, I decided to push that boundary and make it have an identity crisis. It has worked for 9 years and has shockingly won awards here on ParkCrafters that I am extremely grateful for. Being my first park project on the internet, it does have a special place in my RCT3 project library that keeps growing after nearly 21 years. Next year will be 10 years which is probably insane for a park project. I am excited for what I have cooking up. This park kickstarted my RCT3 projects and reputation. Thanks to the community for the continued support, probably a ranting/nostalgic post, but it has been 9 years!
  46. SDC has an older section of their park called "Grand Exposition" while Dolly has a similar area called Country Fair, mostly just a place for the more common flat rides that don't really fit into a specific themed area. So I wanted to do something similar but was trying to come up with a unique theme that would tie the rides together while still fitting into the rustic/wild west nature of the park, with bonus points for myself if I could continue setting things in the 1800's. It started with what a Ferris Wheel might look like in that era, and then it kind of snowballed from there.
  47. No contest... My father's family all grew up in SoCal, so every summer growing up we would take a trip down there to see them. This also, naturally, included a trip to DLA. As a result, I've been there a LOT of times. (especially for someone that lives over 500 miles away) This story is the absolute, no contest, most hilarious thing that ever happened to me there. It was January of 2001 and we were in SoCal to introduce my older sister's 2nd son to the wonders of DLA. (who am I kidding... he was one... we were there because it was an excuse to go to DLA) As a result, we had a lot of family show up, including some of my sister's in-laws. All total there were 22 of us. (admittedly, 4 of them got free admission for being under age 3) Anyway, we all decided that Small World was the next ride to "show off to the kids." (yeah... that joke never gets old) So we spend 20 minutes in line and get up to next in line. CM asks how many in our group and we tell him. He looks us up and down, obviously doing some mental math on total mass, and gets a look on his face that screams, "I need to tell them that they're just a bit too heavy to go in one boat, but I don't want to offend them." Yes, some of my family (mostly my sister's in-laws) are a bit on the heavy side... to put it mildly. He is about to say something when my sister asks, "Can we all ride together?" Now the poor CM is cornered, he sighs heavily and slaps a smile on his face. "Sure! This way!" He did the best he could, trying to distribute the weight evenly. I'm up front with 2 of the kids, my sister, and 1 other and the rest manage to squeeze in behind us. Off we go! Things are fine... were floating into the show building... everything seems totally normal... About the time we reach the 2nd room, we start hearing a slight grinding sound... and can feel it in the seats. We're scraping the bottom and slowing to a stop. About 10 seconds later we get a jolt forward as the boat behind us slams into us at full speed. (about 2 mph) This makes us rise up in the water and we're moving again! About 30 seconds later, we slow down and start scraping again... until BAM! Another boat hits the boat behind us, bumping us back going again like a big newton's cradle. This goes on for about 30 minutes. (remembering that the ride normally only lasts about 15 minutes) All of us are all but dying with laughter at the hilarity of the situation by the time we start to approach the exit of the show building, but we still haven't gotten to the funniest part. Just as we start to round the corner and see daylight, I see this CM leaning into the tunnel, and I can see the expression on her face is screaming, "WHERE DID ALL THE BOATS GO?" See, by now we had ALL THE BOATS IN SMALL WORLD PILED UP BEHIND US LIKE A BIG TRAIN, with us as the engine/anchor. It was at this time that I totally lost it. I laughed so hard, my sides ached for an hour. It STILL makes me laugh. The look on that CM's face was just so priceless! We're fairly certain that shortly after that, the SW entrance queue was redone to include a hidden scale that CMs can look at on their hidden monitors to verify that the guest group does not go above the boat's GVNE. (Gross Vehicle Never Exceed)
