November 2, 2025Nov 2 Please don't assign any jobs at Primeval World to Wanda or Scooter...the world can't deal with Wanda getting the hots for a hulking T-Rex or Scooter leaving the door open to the velociraptor paddock.

November 6, 2025Nov 6 Author My most irrelevant video yet?I expect I'll be posting updates to Primeval World in the Other Games forum, unless we get a dedicated JWE3 forum here, which I doubt. Edited November 6, 2025Nov 6 by shyguy "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
November 6, 2025Nov 6 Ha! I rarely watched Gumby episodes back in the day. Now I know why... he's a foul-mouthed little jerk. Although, I do admire his philosophical bent (he does realize that he's a fictional character as well, right?). Is that dramatic music from the OG King Kong? It sounds familiar. The waterfalls look a lot nicer in JWE3.

You literally sculpt the landscape and then paint on the water and hope the falls come out decent. A lot of trial and error and randomness, with little control over what you end up with. And if you do any terraforming anywhere near where they are, you risk the chance of wiping them out completely. Then you have to start all over again if you save the game without noticing what you did. "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
November 6, 2025Nov 6 Irrelevant, irreverent, and just a bit absurd. Which is probably why I like it so much.

Which is probably why I like it so much. Some people may wonder why on earth did I make Gumbies employees for the park. Aside from the fact that I'm a bit touched in the head, for those who don't own the game, there are really no employees in the game. Well, there are, but they are just guests skinned as employees...construction workers, scientists, etc., who just wander around like other guests. So I needed something to man my ticket booths, etc. I'm not good at building "characters" with the Planet games tools, and it would be even harder in JWE3. But Gumby is a pretty easy "object" to create in game, and I've added Gumby to other creative projects I've done. Before I got into RCT3, I created a couple of games using an old RPG creation software program. And to be funny, I created an island where the Gumbies live that the player can visit. I added even more Gumbies to a second game, giving them a bigger role. So I thought it would be fun to add him once again, to one of my projects. And putting an evil, potty-mouthed Gumby into the video was something I couldn't pass up. So there is a method to my madness. Sometimes.... November 7, 2025Nov 7 I was pretty sure that was the soundtrack from King Kong. I think that was the music they played while the natives were dancing around outside the wall, in anticipation of Kong's arrival. And I'm sure you remember that the waterfalls in RCT3 also disappeared if you disturbed the terrain around them. Now I'm wondering if the Gumbies will be playing more of a role here... and if they are all foul-mouthed and evil.👹

It is indeed the native dance music.47 minutes ago, JB said: Now I'm wondering if the Gumbies will be playing more of a role here... and if they are all foul-mouthed and evil.👹It will probably depend on just who does their programming...Wonder or Mr Head. 🤔 "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
November 7, 2025Nov 7 I expect to see Pokey in there somewhere...maybe as an animal enrichment item in the Velociraptor paddock?

January 20Jan 20 I don't believe I've said this before but I absolutely love Mr. Wonder's persona and avatar you gave him. Perfect blend of craze businessman entrepreneur with too much money to go around 😆 there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
May 3May 3 Author It's been approximately one year since I began this project. Where does the time go? Surprisingly enough, I'm still very motivated and excited to continue forward. A lot of the boring entrance areas and services are mostly done, and now I'm finally getting to the good stuff. Mr. Wonder has issued a statement about the project, with a rough roadmap of where things are going and what we can expect in the near future...Wonder WorldCurrently, the big project at Wonder World is the completion of the Space Port. Two new attractions are under construction as well as a new restaurant and shop. The big one is obviously Space Port 3000, which is slated to be the most expensive ride in the park. New to the land will be a highly themed upscale, full-service restaurant, offering a unique experience to guests along with a hefty price tag. The entrance area of the Space Port will also undergo a slight refurb to bring the area up to the standards of the rest of the park. It's very likely that a t least one new land will begin construction this year.Animal WorldThis year saw the construction of the main entrance, Administration Center, and beginning of Zimbobwee Village. Moving forward, Zimbobwee Village will be completed and the land of Africa will begin construction with the hopes of it mostly being completed this year. This will include the park's signature attraction, African Adventure. This will be the largest attraction ever built in a Wonder Park, at approximately 12 acres, and most likely, the most expensive attraction in the resort. The Observation Tower is also planned to be completed, featuring an upscale restaurant at the top of the tower. A second land may be started this year as well.Water WorldConstruction is continuing at Water World and we should start to see some major updates to this park. There are currently 7 rides under construction and most of Atlantia Island has been terraformed. Major landscaping and the completion of many of the attractions are slated for this year and you can expect to finally see previews of this park.Primeval WorldTechnical problems plague this park. The animatronic Gumbies are malfunctioning and the plan to use them as park employees may need to be scrapped. The DNA research used to create living dinosaurs is not going as planned, with many failures occurring. That said, all is not lost, and this has only delayed the construction of the park. While the bugs are being ironed out, the construction of non-dinosaur attractions has continued, and we'll be seeing the park's progress very soon.Wonder Beach BoardwalkWork is slow but steady on this park. In its current state, the park is almost ready for a soft opening. Just a few more rides need to be added and then you can expect this park to open very soon. It won't be complete, but I need to generate some income to continue work on the resort. Why did I think I could build five theme parks at once with no source of income? Lafitte LandingThe Lafitte Landing resort hotel is nearing completion and is slated to open in just a few months. The guest verandas and the castle are complete. The grounds just need some more landscaping and we need to finish the monorail system. One or two more additions to the resort and it will be ready to open.Worlds of Wonder Resort HotelThis high end luxury hotel is still in the planning stages. There is currently no confirmed date for the beginning of the construction. But this will be THE place to stay, when visiting the Worlds of Wonder Resort.Future Plans...There are many ideas for other additions to the park, including the possibility of more theme parks. Everything is up in the air right now. When any of these ideas become concrete, you all will be the first to know. "The squeaky wheel gets the kick." -- Minsc (Baldur's Gate)
May 10May 10 An ambitious and successful year. Well, maybe not financially successful yet but that will come. Cheers to all the big things on the way in year 2!
