I gotta say, this has to be one of the BEST mods for RCT3! I always disliked the standard wooden supports because even if you would paint them white, because of the lighting they would always look too dark. These absolutely transform wooden rides and besides putting some files in your supports folder (which takes 20 seconds) it does everything automatically! This has given me a big boost in motivation to make more coasters with wooden supports so I would rate this 6 stars if I could! Here's some before and after pictures of how much of a difference this mod makes:
  1. Private indeed! You can just DM Wolfpaw your submission. I just made it public cause, well...I'm used to YouTube so much that I do it almost without thinking😅
  2. Thanks a lot! Though honestly some of the creations I've seen recently make me go 'Damn, I thought I was good but this is on another level!'. I honestly don't expect at all to win, I'm here to have fun and see what people can cook up without using any custom scenery which by the way is an awesome spin to the contest! Us RCT3 'veterans' are so used to custom scenery that it almost feels like we can't make anything without it😅
  3. Looks awesome! Can't wait to see the next update😀
  4. Done! And yeah I had some inspiration so I decided to hammer it out when the ideas are still fresh😅
  5. Well I hope iDeal will be possible since it's the main payment method in my country. If not It'll see if I can get my old PayPal account back. Their customer service is an absolute nightmare so at one point I just gave up and never used it again😅
  6. Big update! Since I just posted my entry for the RCT3 20th Anniversary Competition; A dueling wooden launch coaster! Here's some decorating work going on. The top part being almost done, I used some standard textures to kind of mimmick a mix between sand, dirt and grass. Also the palm trees really help in making this tropical type of theme come alive. Now at the entrance of the park, I wanted to build a couple of flat rides to make sure the dueling coasters are accompanied by some other attractions. And just like the small village on top, everything is accompanied by palm trees, a mix of textures, fences and a bunch of other stuff like benches, bins, food stalls, drink stalls...you name it! Also added a small junior coaster, again with no custom supports or anything. I had this cool idea of having a small island in the middle of the lake with an outpost or something, and it was a bit of a challenge to add some rocks here and there as normally I would use Shyguy's Rock set or Weber's Foliage set for this...but all that is not allowed, so I used whatever stock rocks and boulders there were in the game. Getting closer and closer to completing the design. Almost done, just a few more things! And there we go, it's all done! Hope you guys enjoyed this 'making of' slideshow of my entry. Again good luck to everyone else who is participating!
  7. Creation is submitted, good luck to everyone else!
  8. This, so much this. The fact that this website is a one-stop shop for everything I need in RCT3 (community, other people's designs, tons and tons of downloads and way more) and is still alive and breathing in 2024 is just amazing considering RCT3 doesn't have the biggest community.
  9. I can neither confirm nor deny it😁 Will you be entering is as well? I know you made some sweet designs in the past so you should give us all a good run for our money! Edit: nevermind, saw your post. Good luck and I can't wait to see what you're cooking up!
Wow, this looks amazing! Those box-style supports must have taken quite some time to build
This addon is awesome! If you look at old school Schwarzkopf loopers or even some hyper coasters, they have flags on the top of the lift hill or on other places and this addon makes it possible to recreate exactly that. Was really happy to bump into this one cause it adds so much flair to my designs. 5/5!
Another must-have for making your coasters look more realistic. While Steelworx has some basic catwalk objects, this has a ton of versatility and a fitting catwalk for most of your coaster pieces.
Pretty much the gold standard when it comes to custom supports in RCT3. More complex, more time consuming and more difficult to master than Steelworx but it's definitely worth it if you want to get the most out of your coaster designs!
  10. Quick update; I signed up for the RCT3 20th Anniversary competition which also allows 0 custom scenery, so the project above is on hold and instead I'm making something new for the competition. Here's a sneak peek :)
  11. Thanks a lot! I will check it out.
  12. Awesome update! I can't believe it's already been 20 years since RCT3 was released, oh how time flies... And this might be a hot take, but I think the game still looks quite good considering it's 20 years old! Also, is there any other way to donate apart from PayPal? I'd love to donate a few bucks but I don't have PayPal.
  13. I'm down! I don't think I'll stand a chance at a 0 custom scenery design compared to some of the crazy stuff I've seen before, but I will just participate for the fun of it :)
  14. Looks awesome! What's the name of the custom scenery that you use for different ground textures?
  15. Get ready for a brand new project! This time I'm attempting to build a giant hypercoaster with the Blue Fire CT, the layout is already done and since it's such a big coaster I decided to decorate it with a small park to make sure it's not just a buch of trees and nothing else. Stay tuned!
  16. Little late with the replies but here's the YouTube video of the finished project. Enjoy!
  17. Here's another update. It's the first time that I'm really putting a lot of time and effort into working with Weber's Foliage set. It's really nice for creating some awesome terrain coasters, so I decided to built exactly that as I'm going through this project. Here's some of the progress I've made:
  18. Here's an update of my latest project, one that will be one of my most time consuming projects ever. All of the terraforming has been done so everything has smooth edges. Because this Blue Fire coaster also has a lot of unique pieces, it meant that pretty much every single support has to be build piece by piece as my pre-made supports don't fit most of the time. I've already done a decent amount and kind of figured out where I want the pathing to be but there's still lots of work to be done.
Looks awesome! You really put those unique pieces to work quite well
