The trailer looks great. Hope the contents are good. Looks like a few new rides, one being a Soarin' type ride and the Potter cycle coaster.

What CRAP....NOTHING in there that will bring me back. Yet again just even more old themed peices. To bad. I guess this will add to months with other games again.

Not sure if we saw the same video or not. Most of the items in this DLC are new, not rehashed.

I think I'm more excited about the things coming in the free update than anything in this new DLC. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with any new content, especially new scenery pieces, but the new rides don't excite me and I probably won't use any of them, aside from possibly the "Soarin' Theater". There's nothing very innovative in this. It's all very PC1 level. I expect this set was in the works very early in the game's development and the release was put off until they had time to bring the base game up to the standards people were expecting it to be in the first place.

There are so many other things people are asking for, and I do expect to see some of those things coming to future DLC sets. So, it's a nice start. Hopefully we'll get better later on.

Anyone hear how many new scenery pieces there are?

The kiddie coaster is nice to have, the motorbike coaster has somewhat limited uses, the other coaster was okay. The Soarin' theater helps fill a void (but just a regular theater seating would be more useful I think...), the giant swing thingy doesn't, so it kind of depends on what scenery pieces are coming as to whether the US$12.99 price tag is worth it or not...

From the video some of the scenery looked somewhat similar to what we had in PC1, but some of it didn't, there definitely is new stuff, and the textures looked much better this time. So we'll see. I won't be throwing my money at them the first day it's out as some of the fanboi's are stating, that's for sure. Lessons learned...

I think it's around 300. You can see them all on Frontier's store webpage. Whether they are ALL shown or not, we'll soon find out. It's a decent set, though nothing really stands out for me. Although they'll be great for use in my Wizard's Castle in Alpine Village, if I ever actually get that far to build it.

Similar to @shyguy there's nothing really in that set which floats my boat apart from the flying theatre (which has no lap bars for some reason?). The kids coaster also doesn't have shuttle / boomerang functionality apparently so is of little use to me.

People seem to be obsessed with swing coasters though so I'm glad that's coming for them, but the rest of the set seems very meh.

Still need alot more animatronics than what's been shown in that pack. Hopefully the update will be worth waiting for.

The walls, roofs, and windows seem to have some usefulness in non-wizardry projects, but it kind of goes downhill from there. Really hope that after this they get back to giving us things that exist in multiple parks, not just one.

I like that they didn't make anything that was redundant with PC1's Spooky pack, but that's because I'm hoping they'll just give us that pack back for free and then we can mix the two together.

I think this pack will see a lot of Harry Potter areas start to be created. The flying theater will allow parks to have a simulator attraction. Overall, not a bad start in terms of the DLC list. I agree with some of the statements here on it being a side-step from attractions in PC1 while continuing to add and improve features seen in PC1 to this sequel. Interested to see what DLCs they have plan as it can get interesting.

tbh i do like the theme of the pack a lot. maybe because im a big hp fan or maybe because i was thinking about building such an area for some time now. but i also have to be very honest that i did expect something more towards a spooky set which in my opinion would also be more versatile for different themes. what i realy dont like is the swing launch "feature" now being locked behind a paywall and frontier simply going the easy route once again. instead of giving us this feature of all switch tracks, maybe even expand switch tracks to other ride models they decided to again put up limitations. the deciding factor if im gonna get this dlc depends on the patch notes and how the game runs when the updates out. i think the flying theatre is a step in the right direction. we dearly need more of these modern and/or themepark flatrides.

on a last note, i think now with the dlc dropping next week there will be no spooky this year. if they go for the 3 months release schedule id guess they will give us a christmas thingy in december and maybe leave spooky for next years season.

Well, they've got to make money somehow. Maybe they'll add the feature to other coasters in a later update.

I'm still hoping we'll get something for Halloween...maybe some of the popular items from the old Spooky Pack in a small update, and save a new Halloween-themed DLC for next year. For Xmas, I'm hoping for snow and an arctic biome. Maybe revamp the weather system at that point as well.

What I mean with old is the style...We have almost only old style peices..I want modern style, hotels, vista points,ATMs,Arcades and on and on. It clearly was a vista point in that teaser pic they posted....

My biggest issues with PC2 remain the lack of (mostly flat / gentle / common) rides, and the way everything looks, as if it doesn't exist. Coaster supports look like plastic straws, if you know what I mean. It would be nice to get an option for more realistic looking graphics, like we had in PC1.

And still, it would be nice to get darkness in caves.

This pack looks nice, but it's nothing that will bring me back to the game. Give me a powered coaster, rowing boats and a Huss Condor (and so many others), and I'm giving it another chance.

Caves are pitch black in the game. You have to set Global Illumination to "on" in the Settings. Otherwise, the game has the same crappy lighting as PC1.

Oh thank you!

It's greyed out in my settings, because my graphics card doesn't support raytracing. Good to know, I completely missed that. My mistake..

I mean to some extent i even understand that. But my thoughprocess behind this is: we got promised this huge new feature of switch tracks. Turns out on release it was nothing like we expected, was very limited, only available on 1 coaster model and the novelty wore off fairly quick with that. Fast forward 11 months, the most requested feature swing launches is finally making it into the game we imagined it, but frontier then decided to put that in the dlc.

To me atleast it just feels kinda off tbh :/

This is something again where i dont understand why frontier did it this way. They completely removed the option from the squencer to simulate nighttime on dark rides. How are people without rt supposed to make any dark rides then? My gpu luckily supports that feature but just yesterday the global illumination setting was crashing on my newest nvidia driver. So yeah im currently forced to play without rt and without any possibilites to simulate darkness inside rooms
