I didn't add them because the post is already quite long but I can do them in a separate post if you still want to see them.To be honest, I'm perfectly fine just seeing the finished work. 😊 "Oh Blanche? Yesterday at 01:53 AM1 day WOW! This park is amazing so far; I love the detail you're putting into this area and love seeing the creation process! As someone who's finally dabbling in Planet Coaster 2 and trying to learn all this stuff, it's really cool and interesting to see how you plan and build everything out.Keep up the awesome work so far - park is looking amazing! there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

They really designed this place with layer upon layer of details, it has been so much fun to research and recreate. Opening up windows and doors really helps make the place feel alive. Like between last post and this one I've added lamps in the sidewalk to light up the trees and added add fire hydrant. They've also done a lot of work in with the paths, I still need to add all the street crossings and custom flooring (mosaic) around individual entrancesI've been playing around with how to do the posts. I can go first build then finished in total or facade by facade or finished first and then building pictures. I also see people saying they like to see how I get to the finished product so I might do 2 post. The first being the one of with the finished build and do a second post with the in progress stuff and maybe also use that 2th post to include the concept art and real pictures.4 hours ago, wolfpaw said:WOW! Noted, I've been toying with the idea of doing 2 posts per update, 1 for the glamour shots and 1 for the behind the scenes and building progress. I did keep track of building this last part so I'll make a post for that too :D Getting into PC2 can be a daunting task, I honestly had giving up on it for a while after launch and went back to Planet Zoo. But the scaling, new lighting and paths did get me to give it a try again. PZ also ending it's life cycle and updates like the arcades and parades have pulled me back into PC2.4 hours ago, Fox said:You really have captured the essence of Buena Vista Street well! Thanks for the kind comment Fox!

Yesterday at 08:15 PM1 day Author Hi all, work in progress time!I've asked about the work in progress pictures and if you wanted to see them. I've got some feedback and decided to do 2 post going forward. 1 for the glamour shots and finished product and 1 for work in progress that can also include real life pictures and concept art :D Shout out to MintCrocodile and his Magic Eye blog for the pictures I used for reference. I used to daily check in on his blog to look for updates on the whole DCA 2.0 transformation back in the day. (link to his blog)Looking at the map we are building the facade for the Elysian Arcade and the first 3 Trolley Treats facades. The 4th facade for Trolley Treats houses the kitchen and isn't done yet. These are the 2 main pieces of concept art I've used for this build.~Building the Arcade~This was the placeholder facade I usedI started with the brick arch and used the toy blocks again for bricks. Because I build on the world grid and the arch is symmetrical I could copy one side, spin it around and place it on the other side.Carving out the spaces for windows and doors.Adding the balcony next.Laying down the roof in a similar way I did for the cafe and tram stop shelter.Adding the roof beams and tiles on the bottom of the balcony. I also changed the decorative top trim on the Clarabelle's building on the left and added a chimney to the cafe rooftop.Finished the roof tiles and the full facade for the Arcade! I went back later to add the flower boxes, added some more tiles to the bottom of the balcony and extra signs on the door that say 'Automatic Doors'The real Elysian Arcade. ~Building the candy store~Moving to the right we go into the candy store facades. On this picture you can see the placeholder facades.Carving out the facades and placement of the bay windows. I also changed the placeholder flowerpots for custom ones. I might tweak them again some time later.Once again time for roof tiles.Detailing the first bay window.Adding the windows on the first floor. These building are build using the forces perspective technique making the upper floors quite a bit shorter compared to real life buildings. Planet Coaster sizes are already quite big so going even smaller for a forces perspective part was a challenge.Finished the first facade for the candy shop! The real facade as seen on Google Maps.Shaping the entree, adding the roof line with tiles and adding/detailing the balconies. I could use similar pieces and technique for these balconies that I used for the Arcade balcony. I did try to switch up some of the bracket pieces to not make them looked copy and pasted.Added the bay window which houses the candy mountain model in real life! I did copy the technique and items for the tiles that I made for the cafe border.Adding the text decals and borders to the glass.Fighting my own sanity once again with this custom sign. The Trolley Treats letters are each a individual decal piece I had to do because of the curved shape. With this sign the 2th facade is finished. Some real life shots of the facade.I left the entree for last because it had the most irregular shape of all 3 facades and I wasn't looking forward to do that. Taking creative liberties with the mural to work in the game.Adding the doors and cleaning up the edges inside to make roof for a possible interior in the future. You can clearly see how much smaller the first floor is too. Some more real life pictures! And that brings us to the end of building part. It still managed to be a long post but it were 4 facades in the end so that is more content to share then in previous updates. Hope you all enjoyed!~Dexter~
