Northridge Park

Built on an old 19th-century railway system for industrial use, its founder decided to expand his business to commercial use. After acquiring a large tract of land, and recognizing the potential of combining leisure and transport, the founder envisioned creating a unique attraction centered around the railway. After years of developing the land, he built it into a picturesque and family-friendly destination. Capitalizing on the popularity of rail travel, the park featured charming gardens, a carousel, a Ferris wheel, and several other classic amusement rides.

Over the decades, the theme park is to be expanded and evolve through the years. Themed sections will become a hallmark throughout the park with the railway prominently servicing its guests.

This park is in its absolute infancy - as of now, all I've been building is its infrastructure and general shape and design.

I've got other portions of the park under construction, but still too new to share as of now.

HE FINALLY POSTED IT!

Very nice start, love the parking lot so far (much better than the Minecraft one we tried to make). The parking entrance also looks very nice! Looking forward to the attractions you're gonna build. 🙃

(Also, amazing logo)

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Ah yes, I will always take the opportunity to pay extra to park perpendicular to the lane rather than diagonally, as the peons do.

Seriously digging the storyline for this park, by the way! The varying watermarks for your pictures is a nice touch.

  • Thanks 1

I know it has been a while since I started this WIP, but I wasn't able to work on this project for personal reasons.

Since then, I've been hard at work! I'm not the conventional person though - I can work on one thing, and veer into something else mid way through. So I have like 10+ things in construction at once.

This update isn't much, but I just wanted to let you all know - I'm still here! Still working on it!

With 25,967 total items so far, it's still in its infancy.

This Gondola station (Pleasant Oaks), is partially from the workshop. Apart from the structure itself, the rest is all me.

Nighttime shot of Rockwood Tunnel. It was built in the 2010s - 2020s after the old one was demolished as it was old and dangerous of collapse. It's built to last.

What I'm currently working on - Lakeside Station is walking distance to the park entrance. Along with the monorail, this station was built to accommodate the large influx of new guests coming to the park beginning in the 2000s. Elevators were also added to accommodate those in wheelchair. Again, this is still under construction, so it is still subject to change.

Love the monorail station! I was going to mention you might want to add a roof, then I finally noticed the glass! Old eyes, I guess! 🤣

THe skyway is very nicely themed!

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. I wanted it to be a steel/concrete, and durable structure that allows a lot of the light to get through. I also wanted there to be plenty of glass so that you're able to see out onto the lake.

Yeah, I'm still building it - there's still several things I need to add to it - for one, the roof. haha

Themeing is definitely on point for the location you're going for - nice update! Can't wait to see what ideas you have for when you hit the park ☺️

You’re doing a great job with the lighting in this park so far. Colors seem on point and they aren’t overbearingly bright which is a common problem I see when others light up their parks. Keep it up!

Another quick update!

Included in today's update is a new completed monorail station, a connected structure with a bathroom, food/drink stalls, a staff room, and a spawn point discretely disguised as a bar. To the left, I built a pedestrian bridge along with an elevator for wheelchair access. Underneath the bridge, I built a backstage staff area for trash collection and elevator maintenance. To the right, I built a maintenance road to a tunnel that leads to the outside world. The lake will be developed as I build around it. Additional trees/foliage will be added surrounding the station.

The monorail station close up. I wanted to use wood/concrete in this station - concrete since it's a station built on a cliff, and wood to reflect it's forested surroundings. Again, the monorail and its stations were supposed to have been built beginning the early 2000s to keep up with the size and guest attendance.

I hope you guys liked my progress. Let me know what you all think - good or bad.

THANK YOU!

You're nailing that sleek modern alpine look so far with those wooden structures - I especially like that wooden station you have in the second picture! Can't wait till you actually get to the park part 😏
