Let's look closer at the Ungulate habitat via the jeep ride that goes through it.

First an overview shot. The first one has the lay of the land...the second has the colors removed.

Green - the Festival area we looked at previously.

Blue - the mandrill habitat we looked at previously.

White - The ungulate habitat.

Gold - path of the jeep ride.

no jeep - I added this to fill in a large undeveloped part of the zoo. The master plan I'm working from has the large ungulate are where the pachyderms used to be, but I enlarged it into the large grass field.

Here is the jeep exiting the station and making a turn to pass by the mandrill habitat that also connects to this ride. You might remember photos of views from this angle when I covered that habitat.

The jeep then heads up a hill that crosses over a small water pool where the animals can cool off. This height also give a nice overview of the whole habitat.
