Starting work on the inside of the house. Originally, had animal viewing areas where they were in concrete boxes and bars separating the guests. The redesign is more of a barn setting with areas for the animals to mingle around the parameter, and the guest can walk freely in the center a view the animals up close.

Here is also a photo of what the real inside looks like.

Here is the habitat side of the barn (before any scenery has really been added.

The orange doors are entry points for the animals.

The yellow door is the keeper entry to the habitat.

The green door is a keeper entry to backstage keeper areas within the barn.

The original building had an entrance on each end. In my version the west doorway has been rocked over and a secondary entrance was added to the side so that pathing could better be matched in the master plan. Scenery and fencing still needs to be finalized here.

Here is the replicated entry that was added to the side of the building to better connect to the other areas of the zoo. Scenery and details still need to be added.

Looks like some of Santa's reindeer are getting some flying practice. And those ungulates on the right are playing leap frog. Nice interior!

Here is 'hidden' keeper hut in the back of the barn. Its behind a wall and the keepers access it from a doorway on the side of the barn. I configured this so that the animals can also have a private place to hide from guest views if they feel they need it. Yes, I didn't finish this area out as far as details go...because it is hidden behind the wall.

Let's jump over to the queue of the jeep ride that goes through the African ungulate habitat. This is located over between the festival area and the Mandrill Habitat.

I visited Brookfield Zoo when I was something like 6 years old. The only thing I remember is riding on the train during pouring rain. Great job on this.
