"My, how they stare.."

The Star Forger once graced the vast emptiness of the cosmos with celestial wonders of his own devising. Now, he is forced to wield his awesome power at the behest of a space-faring empire that tricked him into servitude. Desiring a return to his star-forging ways, the Forger will drag the very stars from the sky, if he must, in order to regain his freedom.

Inspired by League of Legend's Aurelion Sol's lore, 'The Star Forger' is an epic yet beautiful pyrotechnic show.

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Beautiful project. So nice to still see firework shows in RCT3 being made after all these years.

Thanks! It was a really fun and interesting project to work on - first show done in years so it was fun to get back into it!

I am completely blown away by this show. And also perplexed... like, what in the world?! I'm hoping you'll do some kind of behind-the-scenes for us because DAYUM! Is it two angles of filming that were overlaid in post? Whatever you did, it's absolutely amazing, wolfie. Your color pallets are simply *chef's kiss* - that sequence from 2:45 to 3:50 is especially magical. Those little thrusts of hot pink inbetween all of those violent reds are so sexy.

Thanks, glad you liked it! It's just an empty world filled with water and the camera is pointed directly down at the ground. I wanted to give the illusion that the entire show was just floating in space so I used the reflective water to reflect back the night sky to make it look like you were almost looking up into space. I was pretty happy with the result!

That is a brilliant way to film the show! And CSO mortar layouts I'm guessing? Unless you pulled some kind of mad Ben-esque MixMaster voodoo to syncronize those chasing ripples throughout.

Yep! The water is filled with mortars and every effect in the show is single, hand placed (the ripple chasing was not fun to do). When it was time to record, I just turned the LOD and Draw Distance options down so all the mortars were hidden.

Absolutely stunning! ? I was never able to get the hang of the fireworks editor so I'm super jealous of your skills. ?

Thanks! Also, don't worry - I feel the same about your coaster and park skills. ?

That is such a unique view and I loved every minute.  I think my favorite part was the use of the fire with the lights swirling.  I can definitely imagine those ripples were a PAIN to place, haha

Oh my heavens bookworm you have no idea how long that took, hahaha

I had to do it for that whole intro section, and not just the fountains, for the lasers too - and then that damn same string section came back again to torture me in the second half ? Thanks, bookworm - glad you liked it!

Absolutely breathtaking. Nothing else describes it better.

Unfortunately, THIS is why I never posted up any of my attempts at pyro displays... the best I can manage pales in comparison to shows like this. (that and I don't want a YouTube account)

Congratulations, good sir! I am officially in awe. :^)

Hey, don’t be ashamed of your work.  If you are proud of it, it please post it.  I know most of us like to offer advice and encouragement. ?

Oh, I'm not ashamed of my displays... I think they're pretty good... considering my limitations. It's just that compared to shows like these, it's really "low effort content", even if I spend DAYS on them. Mostly this is because I limit myself to displays that can fit in a scenario, like my "When Can We Do This Again" display I did for Soaked scenario 7, Treasure Island. using the Owl City song for the Paint the Night Parade.

I don't know... maybe one of these days I'll capture it and put it up. Up until now my displays were solely for my own and my family's entertainment... but maybe someone else might like them. ::shrug::

Agreed with bookworm, we would love to see your displays! If you're looking to improve and have an interest in the pyro side, definitely post them and we can offer advice - that's what this site is all about!

Hope to see that show you said you created one day - who knows, maybe you're secretly a pyro behemoth just waiting to come out its shell ? Thanks for the compliment as well! This show took about 5 years to create (totally not because I wasn't active in RCT3 for 4 and a half years out of those 5...)

It was alright...

I kid - this is certainly unique and it works for what you were aiming for!

This reminds me when I was a kid, and in art class made kaleidoscopes - colorful, a little trippy, but absolutely beautiful. 🌈✨

At least you've created some displays.  I have never completed a show worth presenting, myself, but it does take time and a lot of patience.  @wolfpawspent 5 years making this show, not literally but hey, who's counting.

Even better watching it remastered in HD. Amazing work as always and im still so impressed with how fast you are able to pump these out. Whats the secret of those lighting effects you use? they are clearly pyro instead of lasers but they look so smooth as spotlights.

Thanks! If you're talking about the light pillars, those are from my Waterworks pack!
