[WIP] Kraken - B&M Hyper Coaster (Update 5-19-2025)
Quick little update before I go to bed for the night. I tweaked the lift supports and started on the second hill. I also got a little landscaping in.

[WIP] Kraken - B&M Hyper Coaster (Update 5-19-2025)
I started on the supports tonight after I got of work. I didn't make a ton of progress but it's still something. Modeling them after Diamondback at Kings Island.

[WIP] Kraken - B&M Hyper Coaster (Update 5-19-2025)
I've decided to reboot an old unfinished project of mine. I originally began creating Kraken in 2015. Unfortunately the original file got corrupted, and I can no long work on the 2015 version. Instead of recreating the entire layout I decided this was a good time to make changes to the layout, to make it more smooth and realistic. I haven't gotten to work on the supports yet but I have the layout nailed down, and added the details to the lift track, such as catwalks, anti-rollback, coaster nets, and chain lift covers. 2023

My Past RCT3 Projects From ShyGuy's World - Wilhelm1407
Thank you! And yeah the dark sections of track on the night pov is intentional. I always think terrain coasters should be at least 50% dark at night, because they are more surprising that way. I use to use Dermander to auto stitch screenshots together to make panoramas. However it's only a mobile app now... So I'm looking into an alternative program called PhotoStitcher. It's not free, but it's only like $19 and it does the same thing Dermander use to do. I wish there was a camera mod that would allow wide angles. Technically you can hex RCT3 and change the fov of the cameras. I did it to fix the aspect ratio of the onride cam so it's not stretched out but it's kind of a pain in the butt tbh. But it can be done. But yeah just a camera mod would be way easier and better. Idk how one would go about making such a thing though.

Huánglóng 黄龙 | Gravity Group Wooden Coaster Huánglóng (Yellow Dragon) is a compact terrain wood coaster I created using the Pep Team's Wodan CT, and Parallax's Timberliner CTR. This is probably the smallest wooden coaster I've bulit in RCT3. I really enjoyed creating the buildings and theming for this coaster.

Zephon's Moonlight Shadow Set
Oh man I lost this set a while back and couldn't find it on Shyguys for a long time. I'm glad it's here!

Thank you kind sir! 😊 Gosh that's probably one of the biggest complements I've ever received. 🥲 And as for crappy stuff from like 2007-2009 I lost a lot of it when my old channel got deleted. I don't have any screenshots left either. If I find any hidden craptasic coasters I'll upload them as a part of my Archive Collection on my channel. 😆 Some of the one's I uploaded from 2010 and 2012 I think look crappy, but that's just me being my own worst critic. The oldest and crappiest project I think I uploaded is probably my Twilight Zone Tower of Terror from 2008. It wasn't suppose to be an exact replica and I was still really new to using custom scenery. I edited the whole thing with Windows movie maker. The one thing that I was really proud of when I made this was I hand animated the lightning striking the building in paint.

PREDATOR | B&M Inverted Coaster Predator was the first coaster I created using Samplerocker's Track 5 add-ons. I based the supports and catwalks off Raptor at Cedar Point. I used CTR creator to add the CTR Inverted trains from TheCodeMaster's B&M Ultimate Pack. This definitely is a favorite among the creations that I've made in RCT3.

Cyclone | Dinn Corporation Wooden Coaster I created Cyclone by using the Pep Team's Wodan CT, paired with FranceCoaster's Wooden Cars CTR. The first drop, and turn around were inspired by Timberwolf at Worlds of Fun. I've been on it many times since it's my home park and I've always enjoyed it. I took inspiration from various Dinn Corp. coasters for the rest of the layout. This is probably one of my favorite wood coasters that I've made. I would like to reprofile it, and possibly add a block section in the future.

They do! I always try to make long queues with a fast pass lane. This isn't the longest example of a queue, but a shorter one I made for a tutorial. 😀

HEX | Chance Rides Hyper GT-X I created the track for HEX by using one of the Pep Team's Europa Add-on custom tracks. At the time there were no Hyper GTX CTRs, so I used Weber's Generic Giga CTR.

Black Widow | Maurer Söhne X Coaster I created Black Widow using Samplerocker's Track 11 add-ons, combined with Francecoaster's Maurer Söhne X Car CTR. I built this during a short let's play series for my YouTube channel.

Thank you! And yeah I miss the old days of Shyguy's World. I also miss RCTLounge. It died several years before Shyguy's.

Better recording bitrate in RCT3?
If you have a Nvidia graphics card, I can't recommend shadow play enough. It's the best game screen recorder I've used.

Grizzly | Arrow Dynamics Terrain Hyper Coaster I've always loved the idea of a hyper coaster built into the mountains and that is why I made this coaster. It dives down through the trees and into valleys so you don't quite know where it will go next. I based the lift hill supports off of Desperado. Again I used my usual go to cso sets to create the arrow style supports. CSF's I Beams Moby's Glasshouse and Frameworkx Shyguy's Water World Pt 1 CoasterFeakers90-Mega coaster Connectors Techno-CE-ArrowFooters GRP B&M Catwalks. SafariJsArrow Pack

Are you using the recording feature that came with the game? Or are you using something else? I've been using Nvidia Shadow Play to record all my videos.

Is it worth getting RCT3 if you don’t have any access to adding custom Addons?
If you're looking for a game to make realistic coasters and parks without mods, RCT3 probably isn't what you're looking for. The game is 20 years old and the vanilla version is a little on the cartoony side as far as design goes. Granted it was pretty amazing for it's time. It's still entertaining, and a pretty addicting sim game at that. You can make interesting parks without mods but they're not going to be photo realistic. These are some screenshots of an unfinished park I was working on. I did edit the options text file to allow track intersecting though. I'm not sure if that's even possible on ipad or switch. Not to say some of what I created isn't possible on those platforms, because some scenery does allow to intersect some scenery pieces but not all. That being said I've never played it on anything but PC. The game trailers will give you a better sense of what it will probably look like on ipad or switch.

Falken | GCI Wooden Coaster Falken is a compact GCI coaster that is more family friendly than most of my past creations. I created it using the PEP Team's Wodan CT combined with Maylene's Millennium Flyer's CTR.

Scream Machine | Custom Arrow Looping Coaster Scream Machine is a custom Arrow looper that I made with the goal of: (A) Creating a medium sized Arrow layout, and (B) Building the lift to be parallel with the double corkscrews. For the loop and corkscrew supports I used SafariJsArrow Pack. Most of the scaffolding supports I made with a combination of the following CSO sets: CSF's I Beams Moby's Glasshouse and Frameworkx Shyguy's Water World Pt 1 CoasterFeakers90-Mega coaster Connectors Techno-CE-ArrowFooters GRP B&M Catwalks.

Unnamed RMC Inverted Coaster Concept | Work In Progress
The supports do take eons to make lol. The CSO I'm using is CFS's Steel I Beam set, Moby's Timber, and BigBurger's Timber sets. I hadn't really thought of a story yet since it started as more of an experiment to see if I could actually make it look decent. lol Splinter does sound like a good name for it. ?
