Project of the Year Winner - ParkCrafters Awards 2024
The bulk of the praise does have to go to Wagi here. I may be more of the "idea man", but he is a magnificent builder and an unstoppable CS making machine! It is both an honor and a pleasure to have won, to get the opportunity to work with Wagi, and having looked over the nominees, a bit of a shock as well! Thank you!

ParkCrafters 1 Year Anniversary - A Retrospective
Hard to believe I've been a minor part of this community for over 25 years, about 20% of my life, and am very grateful to have always had a place to hang my hat. Thank you to ParkCrafter's staff and members for giving us all a place to feel welcome and to share our love of all these games!

The Wonderful World of OZ
Sure! Here's a shot of the parking lot, the entrance area, the start of Main Street, and over to the left is one of the backstage areas with storage, catering, and cold storage; Another shot of Main Street and the backstage area; To the west of Main Street is Professor Marvel's Land with the backstage area in the lower left, and Main Street lower right; The Gale Farm is east of Main Street. You can see the Gulch House in the lower left, and parts of Main Street lower right. The rainbow bridge is also visible in this shot. Over the bridge is Munchkinland, but we don't want to give that much away yet! Hope that helps!

The Wonderful World of OZ
Thanks for all the nice comments, guys! There are several ways to enter the OZ sections of the park. We already showed you that you can ride the Twister ride and exit through a rainbow into Dorothy's House, which has managed to fall on the Wicked Witch of the East; There is also a seemingly innocent looking path that cuts through from Professor Marvel's land. That's also where the "Balloon Ride" can be picked up to take you straight to the Emerald City. Are those poppies? At the edge of the carnival area, there is an ominous looking gate that someone broke off the padlock from. I wonder what's down there? Man, this place is a nightmare. The E.P.A. is probably going hog wild over this place! I've never seen so much industrial waste; That's a weird rock formation. Maybe we can get a better look; There is even an old abandoned train here; Wow! An creepy abandoned factory; Holy Cow! I knew it had to be something sinister;

Thanks guys! You enter the Gale House through the front hall. Dorothy has quite a nice family! Out the back door, you enter the yard of the Gale family; Definitely a storm coming up. Looks like we lost a chicken! "What's that out the window, Toto?" "I have a feeling we're not in Kansas any more..."

Brookfield Zoo
Would love to see them put a carousel or some other simple rides in the game (Many zoos have these types of attractions) just so we might get an idea of what the rides would look like in PC2. The Denver Zoo has a beautiful Carousel with some endangered animal "horses". It's really lovely. They used to be fairly common and were known as menagerie carousels. Oh, those were the days...

The 2024 ParkCrafters Awards - Information and Voting
I just wanted to mention that I am humbled to be nominated in several categories, especially since Wagi does most of the work! Seriously, it is an honor to even be nominated. Good luck to everyone!

The Wonderful World of OZ
Some excellent questions! Yes, indeed, Wagi made the bubble, and that is actually a Cinderella figure inside it, but good enough to suggest Glinda, don't you think? Just noticed the donkey and the fence post! Too funny! I used that angle for the picture on purpose, of course! 🤣 Actually, a turkey plays the piano. The chickens fly. The twister is indeed a workshop item. The gray swirling cloud is from the Ghostbusters pack. Looks great!

One of the smallest areas of the park is the Gale Farm. Let's take a look around, shall we? At the end of Main Street is a small meet and greet area. Right now, Glinda and her bubble are available to greet guests; As we head east, we can see the farm just down the road; One of the full service restaurants is located here at the farm, Aunt Em's Country Kitchen, serving a full selection of down home goodness! Toto's Animal Revue is an interactive show with lots of trained barnyard critters to amuse and excite the kiddies; A fun spin and puke called Zeke's Barnstormers fills a corner of the farm; A small farmer's Market. Looks like bad weather on the horizon!; A root beer stand; "Somewhere over the Rainbow" The Gale farmhouse. Think there's a storm brewing!; Dorothy! It's a twister!!!

Fiesta Trails - Theme Park (Video Complete!)
Love what you've done. Great start! I'm really looking forward to seeing retroville! Your night shots are neat. I like the contrast in the old Spanish warm yellow lights and the city stark white. If I might, love your Spanish Village, however, nothing says old Spain or Mexico better than a ceramic tile roof. You might consider using the in game ridge tiles. I know there are not a lot of pieces, but I think you'll find they look better than the shingle rooves you are using.

The Wonderful World of OZ
As Wagi has mentioned, we have used blueprints off the workshop, usually heavily modified by one of us. The Monte Leone shell is by 89James89, and the Waltzer below is by Fisherman, both tweaked for our purposes. Here's Marvel's Musical Waltzer; Or how about a spin on Marvel's Marvelous Wheel? There is also a full service restaurant located in the area;

The Wonderful World of OZ
So everyone is probably wondering, "gee all this main street stuff is great, but where the heck are the rides?" We'll take a short break from our tour of main street to showcase one of the fun areas of the park; In the original Goddard plans, Professor Marvel's World was to be a carnival type area with lots of games and rides. Located at the west end of the Kansas area, it showcases a number of fun family oriented attractions such as Marvel's Marvelous Monte Leone; Marvel's Magnificent Carousel; Or Marvel's Death Defying Trapeze; You might even get a chance to meet the Professor himself!
