The Wonderful World of OZ
As some of you know, before we started work on Disney's America, Wagi and I had worked together on another project that sparked our interest, the proposed Wonderful World of OZ park that was going to be built by the Goddard Group in where else? North Dakota! No, in Kansas, just outside of Kansas City. As with many other parks, this one never got past the planning stages due to political shortsitedness, and the park was scrapped. But did that stop us? Hell no! Here's a couple of concept drawings for the park; Wagi already posted these teasers; I'll start tour pictures over the next few days!

American Heartland Theme Park announced
Wagi and I were jokingly commenting the other day if these guys were following our Disney's America thread over the last few years. Really strange parellels to our park. Liberty Town, World's Fair, Swamp bayou adventure, timber falls (our 1849 log flume), etc. Very weird coincidences!!! 🤣

So glad we have finally been able to finish up these benches. Between my procrastination and naps and Wagi's "just one more thing to add!", this has been a real labor of love and has been a heck of a lot of fun as well! We hope you guys enjoy exploring all these benches and we both look forward to bringing you some more fun stuff in the next decade or two!- Disney's America Park - The one and only, really truly Bench Four...and The End
Thanks for the great comments guys! This bench was always one of my favorites! Wagi took my little industrial town and really pumped up the volume (and the piece count!) on this one! He has a wonderful knack for squeezing every square inch out of the game and is a master of detail. Edison versus Tesla was originally planned as duelling coasters, but we couldn't find any that really fit the bill, (neither one of us are that great at coaster building)so we just employed a couple of Weisshorn flats, a Himalaya type ride. One runs forward, and the other reverse. The peeps seem to prefer Tesla, BTW! The American Experience is just another flat ride, no real interior to speak of. We tend to shy away from interiors unless there is a real need. It just adds to the piece count!!! If and when Frontier ever releases PC2, I would love show buildings where you can set the duration, the excitement, etc. with sliders, maybe even the capacity and set it all in just a big box so you can make these beautiful facades and have all kinds of different shows. Of course, a real outdoor show like a stunt show would be great as well. Ah, well...- Disney's America Park - Bench Four...I mean THREE by Citytrader and Wagi

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Wagi and I have worked really hard on this, well he has anyway, and it's nice to finally be able to release all these benches! Here's the entrance to the Big Top, not quite ready to open yet. The first show is at 11:00! The elephaants are practicing a new trick; Back along the Midway, Clown Alley is a thinly diguised Zipper ride! Old timey version!- A little side project...

Wowman, Wagi created some new pieces that work beautifully with Vampiro's striped walls. It ain't perfect, but it works pretty well. I deliberately left out exterior poles and guy wires on most of the tents for safety's sake! You can see them here on the comfort station. Thank you, wolfpaw! The Colonel Parker Circus is based on the Disney classic Toby Tyler movie. Bathrooms are tucked off in a corner; The centerpiece of Circus Square is the Venetian Carousel. You can catch a glimpse of the big top in the background; In front of the railroad tracks, a small carnival wheel has been set up; Looks like Dumbo has decided to join Toby Tyler in his circus adventure;- Enchanted Lake
Believe me, it looked a lot better in person! Freedomland had a similar attraction in the 1960s in the Bronx. An asbestos building had gas jets, and the "fire department" would show up to put out the flames. Freedomland is long gone, but they deputized kids, gave them plastic hats with the little rubber bands to hold it to your head, and the kids worked the pumper to quelch the flames. Imagine having an attraction like that today! Somebody would sue in about two minutes!- Disney's America Park - Bench Four...I mean THREE by Citytrader and Wagi
It sells baguette sandwiches. The circus can be entered two ways. From the Promenade by taking the path near Bostocks, or along the main path leading from Enterprise and New Orleans. We saw the Bostock entrance, here's the entrance from Enterprise; The train has pulled in and is unloading; One of the first tents up is the Commisary;- The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

JB, the Dewdrop is a slide he made with the haunted pretzel track. Non functional, but looks fantastic! Wolfpaw, thans for the kind words! Moving off to the north of Bostocks, we come upon the path leading to the circus! On the other side, the narrow path connects to the coaster walkway that meanders it's way down to Victory Field past some typical Victorian era shops and attractions; There's a small mirror maze attraction themed to Alice in Wonderland along the row of shops;- The Seven Wonders of the Ancient World

Regentbird, if you have access to the show "Cities of the Dead" from PBS, they did an entire episode about Dr. Dalley's claim. Really a very interesting documentary! Here's a quick overview of the entire park; A few people have asked, hey! The wonders are nice. but what about the rides?!? Here's Hades; And how about Pegasus;- Disney's America Park - Bench Four...I mean THREE by Citytrader and Wagi
JB, Bostocks has a spin and puke inside, honestly can't remember which one! Here's a few more shots of Dreamland Midway; The Foolish House. The eyes open, close and look around! Very creepy looking! Another view of the Foolish House and the Dewdrop, courtesy of JPAlmighty! The Dewdrop and an Arcade. I believe it's one of Frontier's buildings I reworked. And finally, the Whip! Since you all liked the old postcard bit, here's one of the Whip as well;- Disney's America Park - Bench Four...I mean THREE by Citytrader and Wagi
