Posted September 2Sep 2 Coming September 16th...Update 7Posted on Facebook:Improved path building tools3-axis grid rotationChallenge Mode and more!Update 7 is coming September 16th, news on an upcoming "Magic" update or DLC coming on the 9th.The 3-axis grid rotation is useful, but they mainly showed in rotting vendor shops...how can those be 'useful'???Tweaks to path building always welcome. Personally the 'Challenge Mode' doesn't do anything for me.Not sure if the 'magic' theme is a replacement for the 'horror' or Halloween themes, nor whether it's a free update or paid DLC.
September 2Sep 2 I think the 3 axis rotation now means individual wall pieces themselves can be rotated. But perhaps not. Ruins, crooked houses, I can think of a few ways this could be nice. Remember what a struggle Dorothy's house was? 😀I think the "Magic" DLC is the old Spooky one, with some new pieces. Anything new is welcome!I also like the new rotational animation piece. They showcases a cauldron, but I can think of dozens of uses.Fully recolorable paths and square corners on paths is terrific! No mention of new rides though. Edited September 2Sep 2 by citytrader
September 2Sep 2 Grid pieces may also be scalable now too. Looking at the video, the scale icon is not greyed out when they are rotating the grid based objects. Not sure though, as these objects contain vendor shops, which certainly couldn't be scaled. Although that would be pretty cool, especially for your Wizard of Oz park. You could gave munchkin vendors. 🤣 "Do you think it's just sunshine and singing and pretty colors when you grow up? Well I should say not." --Hattie Dorsett (Sybil)

I just hadn't opened the game to check for myself, but now I don't have to. I'm actually pretty happy with this update. It shows Frontier is willing to change things and give players more freedom to do what they want without the many restrictions put on the building tools at launch. Yes, progress on this has been really slow, and many of the things we've gotten over the past several months should have been in the game from the start. But the alternative would have been for Frontier to have waited a year to release the game, instead of releasing it prematurely as they did... which is the mindset I've been in, as I've considered this an early access game and I've put off really getting too far into creating anything significant as I wait for them to get all the features ironed out. This gives me a bit of hope for the future of the game, but I'm still very cautiously optimistic, as Plokoon says. Still waiting to see just what the DLC will include. They're really going to have to hit this out of the park to win back a lot of players who aren't as encouraged as I am. September 2Sep 2 I'm a bit happy with this update as well. I do really think some of these features are being added to help support whatever is going to be in the Spooky/magic pack. Tilted structures, and that new animation box...seams good for moving headstones, Skeletons, floating objects, etc. Edited September 2Sep 2 by Wowman
September 2Sep 2 I'm waiting to see what the DLC and the update will actually contain before I make a full judgement on this news. I'm more interested in the bug fixes than the flashy stuff to be honest.
September 3Sep 3 Author I guess I'm just happy to even see an update and word that there is at least one more update/DLC still coming.
September 4Sep 4 Is anyone talking about the glowing green smoke rising from the cauldron? Presently, none of the smoke effects show up at night in PC1 or PC2 from what I recall. Friday at 03:17 PM5 days Author Well, NOW we can have Yellow Brick Roads without making them in TMTK...
Friday at 04:33 PM5 days That will be a nice feature to have along with square queues. I assume they'll have fixed the bugged out trigger sequences in this update aswell. Hopefully anyway.

Saturday at 12:38 PM4 days Author Maybe an OZ ATTRACTION...of course it would end up being an entire park... LOL!
