September 30Sep 30 Author SDC has an older section of their park called "Grand Exposition" while Dolly has a similar area called Country Fair, mostly just a place for the more common flat rides that don't really fit into a specific themed area. So I wanted to do something similar but was trying to come up with a unique theme that would tie the rides together while still fitting into the rustic/wild west nature of the park, with bonus points for myself if I could continue setting things in the 1800's. It started with what a Ferris Wheel might look like in that era, and then it kind of snowballed from there.
September 30Sep 30 Wow the last picture is just mindblowing! Love this! Such a great building, the whole scene is so good. The colours match perfectly together. I also like the rockwork in the background, such a nice area. I don´t know about the round circle in the middle, it looks a little bit too artificially
September 30Sep 30 So I'm getting this kind of wild west steampunk vibe. (Is that a thing?) It all looks wonderful. Are those hot air balloons yours, or from the workshop? September 30Sep 30 Author I'm calling it a steam fair, kind of like maybe a world expo dedicated to the exciting new technology coming to the 1800's. But yeah, without saying that word anywhere in the park, it's total steampunk and the western stuff kind of gets lost in it. Kind of a stretch but it let me go crazy with visuals.Yep, the balloons are workshop from 2 separate creators, I'm compiling a list of workshop codes to put in the next video.

I think I went with the cobblestone everywhere once we were able to recolor it. Thanks Daniel!
October 1Oct 1 This looks fantastic! I'm starting to see some of your building style from your Shyguy's World parks (the detailed, and striking, industrial bits).
October 3Oct 3 Author Thanks JB, I'm flattered you remember any of that cra-- I mean, majestical works of art! 😁Well this video would've packed a little more punch if I hadn't just posted the best pics of this area a couple days ago. But if you enjoy hearing me make a fool of myself, this clip will be a treasure trove.
October 3Oct 3 Your steampunkery is a sight to behold! Wonderful stuff. I truly enjoyed seeing your creations, and how you utilized other peoples' creations. The best thing about your walk-through narrations IS your lack of any filters! Therein lies your humor. Great video, thanks.
October 3Oct 3 Author haha, thanks JB. self deprecation is part of the shtick; I really do like how this project has been turning out. (and just between us, some of my frustrated whines were funnier (to me) than anything I tried to do in the first 3 takes) 😜
October 4Oct 4 Top notch stuff here. I just love your building style. I love how you took the fairly mundane mouse coaster and turned it into something quite unique. You even made the Diving Bell ride look good. And that's a feat in of itself. "Do you think it's just sunshine and singing and pretty colors when you grow up? October 4Oct 4 Incredible. The details are mind-blowing, and I love how you got the balance right with the steampunk mix. What you're doing here is absolutely admirable, but also inspiring and motivating. I feel reminded of the heyday of our theme park building community, and watching your park, I believe, we as a community can still impress each other, inspire each other, motivate each other. Thank you.
October 4Oct 4 Author Thank you, Shyguy and Trimo. Very kind words and I don't take compliments lightly.
October 4Oct 4 This is seriously impressive - this might be one of the most realistic and gorgeous parks I've ever seen in PlanCo2! Some of these shots don't even look like they came from the game! there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
October 5Oct 5 Adding to what everyone else has already said. WOW! The detail and use of animation to bring kinetic life to this park. I also love the color scheme as it feels unique and new. Awesome work.
Wednesday at 01:55 PM3 days Author Thank you Wolfpaw, Wowman, and Plokoon (and sorry for not responding to you sooner, real life and work stuff got in the way this month but that's no excuse.) I do need to work on posting more pictures, especially this forum where they seem to always look way better than they do on the discords or even youtube. Maybe it's a screen size thing but the resolution just seems better here too.I did want to get something built in time for Halloween despite having any reasonable spooky scenery to work with. For anyone who remembers my multiple attempts at building a mystery mine-type attraction in RCT3 and PC1 this one hopefully takes it in a different direction (even I get bored by repeating my old stuff.) Here's another video and I'll also try to come back with some screenshots because I totally get the time investment in watching videos.
Wednesday at 04:25 PM3 days The video's well worth the few minutes needed to watch. I actually quite liked just watching the peeps walking by and getting a taste of the atmosphere outside of each ride besides on-ride footage. Both were really well done!
Wednesday at 10:29 PM3 days I agree with Wagi, getting some park views mixed with on-ride segments made the unbearable 8 minutes and 36 seconds length of the video almost entertaining. (I'm joking of course. It was still unbearable... Still joking.) The scariest part of Mine 99 was the outward-leaning curve. I can see how that would be a horrific sensation! Good video, thanks.
Thursday at 02:36 PM2 days Author Thanks guys. For those offride segments I just put the camera down and let it record for 5 minutes because I wasn't sure how much time I would need for the voiceover, then deleted the extra footage once my spiel for each coaster was done. It was kind of lazy on my part but I'm glad it worked. It also helped me keep the overall runtime down, because I'm well aware of JB's 9 minute attention span!! 🤣 Edited Thursday at 02:59 PM2 days by JPTV
Thursday at 10:56 PM1 day "I'm well aware of JB's 9 minute attention span!!"Yes. And you came mighty close to that 9 minute mark! And.. um... What was I saying again?
22 hours ago22 hr I love Copper Creek because it is so beautifully designed and uber-detailed without being over-the-top and out of the realm of what could actually exist in the real world. Not that those types of parks and rides aren't impressive, but personally, I prefer this type of park. Great job as usual. Oh I totally went over the 9 minutes but then thought of you and killed off a solid 2 minutes of my usual complaining. 😉18 hours ago, shyguy said:I love Copper Creek because it is so beautifully designed and uber-detailed without being over-the-top and out of the realm of what could actually exist in the real world. At the end of the day I think both styles utilize strong theming and immersion so I'm good with either. Thanks so much!17 hours ago, Fox said:Love all the detail! Thanks Fox. I'm just glad the engine for this game lets us throw in a few more details than the old game did.
