Work has begun on the next big theme park in the World's of Wonder Resort. Mr. Wonder is being very secretive about just what this park will have to offer. But he promises that it will rival, if not surpass, the epic scope pf Wonder World.

Construction has just begun, so there is very little to show right now. The most interesting (distressing) thing to report is that he has hired his nephew, Scooter, as head grounds keeper. We all remember what happened to Water World when Scooter was left in charge. Or maybe we don't, but moving on...

Scooter looks happy to be working again in a Wonder park. I'm not, though...

Even more distressing is that Wanda, Mr. Wonder's sister, has also been hired to work at the park as head keeper. Here she is preparing food for the new flamingos that have just arrived.

Wanda and son, Scooter, standing together on the new park grounds. The park is just a blank canvas now, with some initial rock work and water features slowly taking shape.

This will be the future home of the Greater Flamingo. Right now, it's not much more than a mud pool.

A waterfall is being tested amongst some very unfinished rock work. Rumor has it that there will be a system of underground caves beneath the rocks. What it will house is something we can only speculate for now.

Ha! When that first image came up, I thought, "Hmm, that looks like it might be Scooter". Sure enough! An animal park with the talents (or lack thereof) of Scooter and Wanda... What could go wrong?

Only one wine bottle showing? Did Wanda suddenly feel a need to toss the empties in the trash can? Usually she just piled them into unstable piles on available furniture, I can't envision her cutting back on her daily intake...unless she just walked in the door?

I've heard it from Mr. Wonder that since she was released from rehab, she has vowed to only drink one bottle of wine per hour. Although, he didn't mention how she's limiting her intake of beer, vodka, rum, brandy, cocktails, etc.

Sometimes I feel sorry for Scooter. But then the feeling passes as I come to my senses.

The flamingos seem to have taken a fancy to her. They likely think she is one of them, with her pink outfit and long, curved beak.

Oh dear..... I see Wanda has found the booze. Or maybe that's her private supply that she herself has stashed. Probably her lunch....Wanda's version of 'brown bagging' it.

Thanks. I'm trying to make this park fairly realistic. I've seen some incredibly detailed backstage areas on the workshop, and I'm not going to go anywhere near as detailed. There's a point where a game stops being fun if you go overboard with details.

Wanda lost some weight...must be that liquid diet she's been on. I see she has the frig well stocked for this shift.

That one flamingo seems to a bit infatuated with her...hopefully breeding seasons is over before the Grand Opening...some things just shouldn't be seen.

Speaking of breeding...

Wanda is working on breeding the Flamingos, with help from the new egg incubator.

Wanda is such a hussy, always up for breeding flamingos.

Her interest in raising over-sized poultry seems strange. "Maternal" never seems to crop up on her ads on Tinder, or mentions on assorted restroom walls, so she's probably set the incubator to 'poached'.

Wanda is quite discouraged by the results.

Haha. The total disinterest of the flamingos reminds me of the "emu" in those commercials. Now I'm wondering if Viagra works on birds. Poor befuddled Scooter... at least his heart was in the right place.

Where those available in the vending machine at the hotel?

I wasn't sure if Wanda would notice if they were since I didn't think those machines sold beer or spirits.

Is that egg salad spilled down the front of Wanda's shirt?

Colonies of zoo flamingos don't seem to have any problem increasing their numbers.

Flamingo nests can be seen in the original Animal World display in the Wonder Beach Boardwalk thread.

Flamingos typically breed only once a year, with only 1 egg. Wonder wants a herd of flamingos, or a "flamboyance" which is the proper term. A very, VERY large flamboyance asap! And why purchase when he can have them "created" in house at minimum wage prices.

Although, Wanda may have over done it.

And now, I figured it was about time I showed some photos of progress on the actual park.

You'll find some odd items lost by guests in the park. Especially strange, as the park hasn't opened yet.

The employees here seem overly happy to be working at the park. That won't last long.

Another outlet to rent strollers and wheelchairs inside the station.

(Disclosure...many props and pieces of furniture were acquired on the workshop. Some altered and some as is.)
