May 7May 7 Author I have seen the news......They did not announce a Hollywood Studios, but very curious what route they are going with the park. I have been looking at the concept art closely and I may have a prediction or two. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on this.
May 11May 11 Author Sometimes magic sees reimagining. New ideas and stories are wished and in pure Disney magic, those wishes would come true. Disneyland Resort Dubai has been a work in progress since 2017 and continues to tell stories in our RCT3 world. The real world likes to throw some curveballs, but this project remains a beacon of creativity and imagination. Currently, both parks in the Disneyland Resort Dubai destination are under rework. I am excited to share progress on both and so here is an update on Disneyland Park.Starting off with what guests first see when they walk through the gates. This iteration of the classic Main Street Station features a few more details and really goes back to the original 2017 design. More details such as awnings will be added once Main Street is in its final stages. The design uses a mixture of Shyguy's Main Street sets and Matt Collins Main Street 1 set. "Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy." This quote greets guests before they head through the entrance tunnels into Main Street. This version of Main Street aligns with that of Disneyland Park in Disneyland Resort Paris. Much of the buildings are similar to those found in Main Street at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida. An improvement made to the Main Street Station is the larger backside to include two staircases up to a viewing area. Previously it was two pretty basic ramps with conforming path covers formed by sloped terrain. This design is much cleaner and uses more space that was once unoccupied only covered by the walls and roof pieces. This version of Main Street has different path covers being used. Instead of all concrete it is a mix of brick and concrete. All path covers being used are Moby's Curved Floors. This is one of my favorite sets to use in park crafting (yes, I know what I said). Details such as lighting and more trash cans are going to be added once Main Street is in its final stages of redevelopment. This version is probably my favorite because the path covers being used in this version. Previously the colors were gray and a light red (looked like tomato soup in screenshots).Cinderella Castle remains the icon of the park. Recently a Disney inspired set was released adding a few banners and the compass rose path design to the RCT3 world. Something that adds a bit more detail to Disney kingdom parks.Closing off this update/walkthrough with a shot of Cinderella Castle. The land behind it is currently empty but will soon be home to many Disney stories that guests will love. I am excited for this version of Disneyland Park and cannot wait to share more.
May 17May 17 Author To all who come to this happy place:Welcome-Walt DisneyDisneyland Park has been nominated once again for the ParkCrafters Awards! We have been nominated for the People's Choice Award. Overall, the resort has 4 nominations across the two parks. To celebrate, the park will be getting some extra decorations and will be another spot to celebrate the awards. Disney's Hollywood Studios will host the after party and Disneyland Park will have the live stream hosted at Cinderella Castle. Guests can also watch the stream at Disney's Hollywood Studios. May 30th will be an exciting day for the community and this massive project!
May 17May 17 Wow, those are reallly long suspenders going down the middle of Main Street! Or maybe they're just stretched out reallly far. Some old-timer is gonna get a wedgie he'll never forget!

July 1Jul 1 Author 8 years ago Disneyland Resort Dubai opened to guests. In 2025, we have much more magic for guests to discover and are going to share real soon.
July 30Jul 30 Author Need magic? Well, here is a dose of Disney magic with a progress update and some blue sky mixed with park overviews. It has been far too long since I have done an update on this thread, and this project is an active project along with others. Recently I have been working on some of the smaller details and begun some layouts of areas that will be shown in land overviews.Starting the update with a familiar sight, Main Street Station. The refurbished version is mostly complete with the sign and awnings added as part of the refurbishment. I brought back some of Shyguy's Main Street sets into the mix for a classic look, the cornices have more details than when the station featured MattCollins' Main Street set. This build mixes those sets to bring that Magic Kingdom feeling to RCT3. Comparing this version to the original that was constructed in 2017, the build styles are similar, but the back is much larger with better staircases. Previously it was ramps supported by raised terrain with path covers placed on the terrain. Now the station uses the custom paths by @FrancesCoaster for the back which was shown in a previous update.Since the update, Main Street has remained mostly the same. This is a rather expansive Main Street in terms of width, but this allows for most of the custom buildings to be used (missing one). The Main Street buildings stem from those found in Disneyland Paris, with most being identical to those found at the Magic Kingdom. Some differences but brings the turn of the century to RCT3.Recently, track has started being planned for the interior of Tron Lightcycle Run. This attraction is tough to create because it features a lot of tight curves within a gravity building. This has been an attraction that I am excited to have, the CTR and accompanying scenery has been a huge achievement by @FrancesCoaster (probably tired of the mentions 😅) and I am grateful for that opportunity. From Main Street, guests will see the development of the attraction, but in the future the attraction will not be able to be seen from Main Street.Classic shot of Cinderella Castle with a similar color scheme to that of Magic Kingdom's.For Fantasyland, the separation between Main Street and this area are the walls of Cinderella Castle. There are three points of entry from Main Street to Fantasyland, two on the sides through archways in the walls and of course, Cinderella Castle itself. Here is an overview of Fantasyland. I have always had a mixture of stories in Fantasyland, with it always changing. I have some ideas that are inspired by real areas in the Disney Parks with varying methods of transitioning between a village and storybook tales both old and new. Currently three attractions are present, with the carousel still having the in-game entrance/exit as that area is still under development. Mickey's Philharmagic and Pinocchio's Daring Journey opened for the park's 8th anniversary. Mickey's Philharmagic uses the Stadium CFR which attracts many peeps into the park. A simple CFR that has many uses and I highly recommend it. The building itself uses a DIsneyland Paris Fantasyland set and the Cinderella Castle walls to support it. I will more than likely add more details to the facade (ex. dormers) as the cover above the queue is pretty standard but works for Fantasyland.Pinocchio's Daring Journey is a custom attraction that was publicly released. The creator has made many attractions in both Disney and Universal Studios parks with a massive lineup planned (some projects have been going for years). Within it are many ride effects to even include custom sounds! A true masterpiece that I was able to place in my park and use some sets to support the attraction's show building. Much of the current Fantasyland is temporary in terms of its design, but the attractions will remain.Adventureland still has huge plans, one of them being a version of Soarin'. Once Fantasyland and Tomorrowland are further in development, Adventureland will begin progressing more. The concepts still in mind are Avatar, Indiana Jones, and Aladdin. These go back to when the park was under development in 2017 when Pandora opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom and Aladdin had the Magic Carpets Of Aladdin CFR released to the public. Pandora will be quite different than the real one, but RCT3 is limited on how to handle the floating mountains while maintaining a high quality of work.Tomorrowland is under heavy development as well. The most complete section is the Carousel Of Progress, as that is just a facade and path for the Peoplemover. Not shown in this image and the overview is Stitch Encounter, which also uses the Stadium CFR. This makes up the left building as that in the Magic Kingdom is the defunct Stitch's Great Escape. The RCT3/project story for Dubai is that this is just like the Stitch experiences that used the Turtle Talk With Crush technology.Lastly, the overview for Tomorrowland. This is going to be a land for thrill seekers! Space Mountain, Mission Space, and Tron Lightcycle Run will be the main attractions of the area. The Peoplemover will also be present, as much of the scenery used involves the Peoplemover track. The land will mostly feature these attractions and possibly something to fill space. Much of Tomorrowland here will be open space, but I am avoiding including an Autopia-style attraction as we are limited on that attraction type and it would either be too short or too long if I make it 😅.Tomorrowland is an interesting area to make because we have Paris, Florida, and California scenery items. All of which are limited, but the Paris version having the most with Gadget's Space Mountain and surrounding buildings being found in other sets but are massive in size. The California scenery items are smaller but assume creators are going to place Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear at the front. The Florida Tomorrowland scenery packs have a little more freedom but require quite a bit of piece-by-piece builds. There were some efforts to add in the rest of the buildings in another WDW set, but that died off years ago. The Mission Space building is not publicly released along with the Tron CTR and CS but will be attractions that the park guests will enjoy (if they are trained astronauts or ready to go in the grid). That is all for this update and overview of progress. I probably jumped a bit, but I wanted to focus on the fact that this is an active project with many blue-sky concepts. I like to explain reasoning behind some ideas taking a bit as there are some limitations in our nearly 21-year-old game. I appreciate all the help I have gotten on this project and want this to be a high-quality Disney project.

July 31Jul 31 Nice update Cody! I'm looking forward for the "friendly competition", haha! I love Main Street. It turned out lookin' pretty snazzy! I'm doing a similar construction style as you have seen with my Disney project where we both build different lands while spreading them out going from one to another. It helps keep from boredom. Keep up the good work friendo! Cheers!
July 31Jul 31 I didn't even know that Tomorrowland entrance was made as a CS piece 🫨It's all looking pretty cool, it's still so funny to see Mission: Space in there, haha. Can we get an overview shot!? there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

Keep up the good work friendo! Cheers!Friendly? Oh boy I better hide my button then. I like to have some plans but include the must-haves in my park early on. Much like your project, I pull ideas from many years ago and integrate them in newer ways with the most recent custom content. We are in a much better place than say 10 years ago when I was not publicly posting. I am excited about you park and will watch it closely to see your growth!7 hours ago, wolfpaw said:I didn't even know that Tomorrowland entrance was made as a CS piece 🫨It's all looking pretty cool, it's still so funny to see Mission: Space in there, haha. Can we get an overview shot!?So, the entrance sign we have two sets with the same style sign, just different sizes. MattCollins' Tomorrowland set and ImagineerTom's Disney Beta Set (same set with the Sorcerer's Hat). ImagineerTom also made a Tomorrowland set to include a little bit more flexibility and modern pieces to match color schemes (post 2009 Space Mountain refurb for example). Some of the entrance walls also come from the Disney Beta Set.Mission Space was always in my Tomorrowland areas. I used to just use blue in-game walls with some sort of in-game sci-fi scenery item Infront of it. So, I am forever grateful to have the Epcot CS version of it, and it fills the space next to Space Mountain. My June trip I had to stop next to Space Mountain and think of how my land is laid out and I was just in shock of where things are in my project in comparison to the real thing.I can share an overview shot soon, a lot of empty space and conceptualizing.
August 21Aug 21 Author "Today we're going to the Happiest Place on Earth.... We'll have some Disneyland fun! Let's begin on Main Street, just before the Magic Kingdom opens."Main Street during the morning is as magical as when guests are making their way to their first destination. Lately, Main Street saw a pretty extensive refurbishment (in terms of the RCT3 world). This refurbishment involved shifting the buildings closer and modifying guest pathways to fit the rescaled area. The effect of doing this also allows for a better reveal of Cinderella Castle. This change really beckons back to the earlier days of this project where Main Street was much smaller and slimmer than the previous version. The rescaling was suggested by @wolfpaw and @Xecronius who have been huge collaborators in both morale and RCT3 techniques. Looking back at Main Street Station, everything seems to fit perfectly and serves as an example of how quick RCT3 park projects change.
August 31Aug 31 Author To align with the recent announcement made at Destination D23, Cinderella Castle at Disneyland Park at Disneyland Resort Dubai will also be receiving a new paint scheme to match that of Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
September 1Sep 1 Author Like the wave of the Fairy Godmother's wand, Cinderella Castle is back to its original color scheme.Alluding to the real Magic Kingdom (stepping aside from the RCT3 world), it is crazy that the current paint scheme lasted only 5 years. The colors were pretty bold in the beginning up until 2021 when they had to rework the spires due to the harsh Florida sun. The original "royal blue" was turning into a shade of purple from fading, then the pink faded from its original colors. A very interesting time in Magic Kingdom's history as the original intent was a rose-pink color for the walls. Here is a long, drawn-out section discussing the interesting paint scheme. Images shown are from multiple sources as well as my own pictures from "research" trips. The original concept art for the 2020 paint scheme is shown below. The paint scheme was able to be applied while the park was closed due to the events of Covid-19, most of it was complete by the time the parks reopened. Only a few sections were done before the park closures such as spires and some walls. The image below is from March 15, 2020. Guests got a glimpse as to what was being applied to the castle. The royal blue looked incredible on the turrets, they have been repainted a few times due to the Florida sun, but nobody expected the turrets to fade super quickly as shown in later images. The resorts opened before the parks, but some would drive through the empty WDW property to get this moment in history that was the closure of many tourist destinations. From July 7, 2020. This was during CM previews which then rolled into AP previews and the reopening on July 11. Sharing some of my images, the images below are from December 2020 on Christmas Day. Because of the events, the park was empty in comparison to a pre-Covid Christmas. For the circumstances, some areas were busy. This was the first time I saw the new colors in person, and it was shocking. (Note: taken on an iPhone 12 Pro)From March 2021, this image from wdwmagic shows how some of the spires were in the process of being repainted during the addition of decorations for the 50th anniversary. Some forum discussions show more progression in the spires being repainted.I was able to visit the Magic Kingdom in June 2021. I knew they had reworked the spires, so I was excited to see it in person. They were also adding decorations for the 50th. I believe they were mostly complete, but my image below is pretty different in comparison to those taken in 2020. Fast forward to June 2025, much of the colors on the walls have faded. The spires have stayed blue since 2021 and after the 50th. No more of the weird purple stage of life they had. Again, another chapter in the Magic Kingdom history book. August 31, 2025, the following concept art was presented at Destination D23. From posts, this announcement had the loudest reaction from the crowd as it was revealed Cinderella Castle was going to a paint scheme inspired by the original look of Cinderella Castle.I am excited to see how long it takes for the original look to return. I do have hopes for the Dreamlights to return, even though that is highly unlikely. This was a sidestep from my RCT3 project to show how the real-world theme park announcements can weave their way into our park projects.
September 1Sep 1 Thanks, Cody. My own preference is for somewhat muted colors, and less of the shiny gold trim. Overly saturated colors and too much gold makes the castle look cartoony, not like a real castle, IMO.

Pictures do not do the real paint scheme justice; it needs to be seen in person. In 2020 I was in shock over how different it looked in-person versus photos. It was almost unreal. I am extremely happy to be getting the original colors back because it means someone somewhere is looking at fan feedback.
