September 24, 2024Sep 24 Author Time for another update, it's slowly but surely coming together! Instead of having all the altitude kind of smooth out, I decided to go for these lowered sections of ground with some brick wall textures which i think looks quite unique and interesting. I'm also giving some other foliage sets a go to mess around with different types of trees as I've been using the stock trees for so long that it's time for something new. Here's a closer look of one of the 'below ground level' sections. The foliage, rocks, etc should give a lot of near miss moments and thus really add to the sense of speed: Edited October 22, 2024Oct 22 by m00nkinftw
September 25, 2024Sep 25 Author Getting closer and closer to finishing up this epic multi launch coaster! With ENIGMA I said I probably wouldn't delve into such detail of foliage again...and well, I decided to go nuts again! As it turns out I actually quite like adding a ton of foliage and rocks to the already existing terrain and trees, it just completely transforms the look and it's gorgeous if you ask me: Here's another shot of a segment that is fully decorated. Plats, grass, bushes, logs, rocks...it has it all! Edited October 22, 2024Oct 22 by m00nkinftw

September 27, 2024Sep 27 Author Well guys, it's done! Enjoy the awesome coaster named Scimitar! Edited October 22, 2024Oct 22 by m00nkinftw
September 27, 2024Sep 27 Author Scimitar is a wild multi-lauch coaster with a lotof attention to detail just like Enigma. In terms of track design, this is probably my most favorite coaster ever! It features tons of near-miss moments with the scenery, a lot of fast transitions and crazy inversions Edited October 22, 2024Oct 22 by m00nkinftw
September 27, 2024Sep 27 Author I would love to show more screenshots but apparently the total size of attachments is quite small, so the best thing to do is to check it out right here. POV included!
September 28, 2024Sep 28 Excellent video and coaster! I love the use of elevation to enhance the feeling of speed, but (if I may be so bold) it would come off a bit better if you reduced the launch speed a tad. You shove out so fast you miss a lot. Not in any way a gripe or anything, just a suggestion! :^Þ Great job! Love it! The idea is to keep an open mind... just not so open that your brains fall out. - Harry Anderson
September 28, 2024Sep 28 I enjoyed your narration as much as riding the coaster. Like you said, the layout is crazy (and fun). So smoooooth! And excellent work with the textures, foliage, and logs, stumps and such. 👍 (Big thumbs up!)

I enabled low friction mode because without it the coaster would slow down too much. I started increasing the launches to compensate but that meant that some sections would also be too fast. Pacing is still something I need to work on and I hope to be able to nail it in the future with upcoming designs. Perhaps I should start using more trim brakes :) Thanks for the feedback!

Just a little nudge up in speed when you need it and nudge back down to keep the train from running too fast goes a long way. :^) Again, not a gripe... just a pointer from someone who's made a LOT of coasters in RCT3! :^Þ The idea is to keep an open mind... just not so open that your brains fall out. - Harry Anderson

October 2, 2024Oct 2 Author Here's a little sneak preview of my latest project :) https://imgur.com/XK07Y8a
October 2, 2024Oct 2 I saw you Youtube video on my feed and it looked awesome! Some of those curves are just well executed and I am definitely paying attention to your creations because they are really good!
October 22, 2024Oct 22 Author Welcome to my latest creation: Interstellar! This is the first time in many, many years that I tried my hands on a night coaster. It was a lot of work trying to figure out proper lighting for the coaster and the surrounding rides. Here you can see just how much detail went into this ride. Small flower gardens, rocks, foliage, bushes, different textures, you name it! Another shot of some inversions, this once again highligts the extra lighting used as decoration. And here's an overview of the layout. Video with POV will be uploaded to YouTube very soon! Edited October 22, 2024Oct 22 by m00nkinftw
October 31, 2024Oct 31 Author Hello again and welcome to my brand new project: Apex! Apex is a Giovanola racing coaster! A what now? Well Giovanola was the company behind Titan and Goliath in Six Flags, which boasted specs like a 255ft drop, amazing speeds and more. I called this a Giovanola racer, because the extended coaster track is just like those old Giovanola hyper coasters and the trains I chose are also the same type of trains that Giovanola used. Now that we got the name out of the way, let me talk about the project itself a bit. As you can see below, this layout will have two trains racing against eachother. They start off with a launch and they will race through overbanked turns, airtime hills, quick transitions and more. The layout itself required a lot of tweaking to make sure the two trains would be side by side during the whole ride as well as make sure they both finish more or less at the same time. Here's a quick close-up of the station and the trains; These are the specific Giovanola type trains that I mentioned before. As you can see I'm going for a classic red vs blue color scheme with a grey track which resembles the tarmac that you would see at a racetrack. That's all I got to show for now, just like Interstellar I'll make sure to fill up the surrounding area a bit with some extra rides so it doesn't look too out of place. Stay tuned for more! November 3, 2024Nov 3 Author Time for another update on Apex! As you can see below I'm making good progress and I've added a whole bunch of extra stuff to accompany the Giovanola racing coaster: Just like most of my projects, I love using Beastie's Path Mods which transform the stock paths into these beautiful flowy paths. In the beginning of the park I added this fountain as a center piece and because I'm taking my time and I'm not in a rush, I again started putting a lot of detail into the environment and scenery. The fountain is accompanied by walls, fences and flowers from ShyGuy as well as plenty of benches for guests to rest on: Now because I don't want my newest coaster to be just a single ride in the whole map I added a few flat rides and also a coaster or two, including this junior coaster which layout is done but still needs a lot of decoration: Also new to the center area is some changes to the pathing, so now there's a road right next to the launch where guests (Just like at Top Thrill 2) can chill and watch the coasters launch into those overbanked turns. I also added a spiral slide, a giant slide and I will also add a food court later on: On the other side of the coaster I added a pretty cool mine train coaster and I actually went a bit nuts with the scenery. These coasters are nothing more than just filler for the park so they don't need to be extremely detailed...but I couldn't resist to add some western themeing to this one! So There are some rocks, a bunch of foliage, a tunnel with fog particles and a few other things I want to add like a catwalk for the chain lift, a western-style Station and a few other things: A closer look at the turnaround element of the mine train coaster. Who knows I might talk about this coaster as well in my upcoming video cause the more I work on it, the more I love it :) And that's all for now, thank you for checking out my update and have yourself a wonderful day! November 5, 2024Nov 5 IT's looking great so far! Would be interesting to see you play with more of the terrain - slightly moving it up or down can create such interesting depth and character for your park layout. That wooden coaster is a beauty though! there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

That wooden coaster is a beauty though! Very true! For some reason I just feel really uncomfortable with just a bit of terraforming here and there, I'm so stuck to either no terraforming at all or a ton of terraforming lol. Perhaps as a personal challenge I can give it a go during my next project!
November 6, 2024Nov 6 Author Time for another update! I had some time today and I worked a bit more on the pathing and the facilities for the peeps. The area right next to the launch is redone and it now has a proper food court with a bunch of benches where guests can sit and relax. All accompanied by pathing from Beastie's Path Mods: Right next to the fountain, where initially there was just some random pathing, I also redid this area to fit another small food court alongside an information kiosk and an umbrella stand: And behind the stalls, there's also a small area where guests can sit and watch the coaster roar by: That's it for today. I hope to have a bit more time the new few days to really make some good progress like finish up all the custom paths, fully decorate the kiddie coaster and start adding some foliage. Thanks as always for checking out my update!

Usually when I have a dead area behind stalls I turn it into a break area for the stall workers. (chairs, small tables, vending machines, etc.) I make sure to use scenery to hide it from the peeps, so it doesn't break immersion. (what can I say... I'm weird! :^Þ ) Looking forward to your next update! November 10, 2024Nov 10 Author It's done folks, here's my latest project: Apex! Apex, like stated before, is a racing launch coaster that focuses on speed, quick transitions and coious amounts of airtime. Step right up to race against your fellow competitor and experience one hell of ride! Here's a picture of the first few airtimes hills after the overbanked turns: A picture of the 90 degree banked turns, showing the side-by-side action with neck a neck racing! Here's a picture of the station, using black and white as colours to represent a checkered flag: Here's one more picture of the overbanked turns that I think look really nice: As with my previous projects, I always try to decorate the coasters with proper pathing, foliage and other rides. Here's a picture where you can see ome of the pathing, the gardens and a bit more of the other rides: Here's a picture with Apex in the background, and a quick mine train coaster I made to accompany the main attraction: And finally one more picture of another coaster I made just to fill up the area: And that's it for now! I will try to make a video of this coaster next week to show this project in greater detail. For now I thank you for checking out this project!
