February 4Feb 4 Author World Of Discovery, the park with an identity crisis. Yes, that is how this post will open up 😅.Lately, the park has been improving the area outside the entrance. New restrooms were constructed to help guest needs. A new path to the Discover Hotel is being constructed. Plans for the monorail to return are rumored. This will be dependent on the inside of the park and how existing and upcoming structures will affect the monorail track layout.Walking in, the view never gets old. This park mixes old and new Epcot in one park. Discover Park is still under development, but the main gift shop is open on the left side. A quick service restaurant is currently under construction in the buildings on the opposite side. Expected completion is this spring.Inside the gift shop is a variety of merchandise. Some include some t-shirts from a certain community that morphed into ParkCrafters in 2023.Throughout the day, guests can enjoy a variety of fountain shows in Discover Park. The fountain adds energy that has been missed in the real-life Epcot. This area had Epic Universe's Celestial Park as an inspiration, but this evolved into an area with its own identity. As the day turns to night, discover World Of Discovery's nighttime show Discover. Guests can enjoy the show all around World Exposition, but the best view is across the way to see the park's icon in a whole new light.
February 16Feb 16 At least you were smart enough to keep the fountain... cough cough DISNEY cough cough there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

April 21Apr 21 Author Things may seem a bit different than the last update. For nearly 10 years, the look has remained the same and I am happy to announce that the park is reverting to its original design. Yes, that means it will return to its identity crisis park status. In progress for this redevelopment is the main entrance. The main entrance is far along in its redevelopment and will be the first area to be finished. I plan on this development taking place in phases and to produce a fuller and more detailed version of the park. Edited April 21Apr 21 by Cody
May 12May 12 Author For the third year in a row, World Of Discovery will be represented in the ParkCrafters Awards! World Of Discovery is nominated in three categories for the 2026 ParkCrafters Awards:Best Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 ProjectPeople's ChoicePark Of The YearWorld Of Discovery has gained a reputation in its nearly 10-year history and has been nominated in these categories and won before. In 2024, World Of Discovery received the award for Best RCT3 Project, Park Of The Year, and People's Choice. In 2025, World Of Discovery won the People's Choice award again. For many years, this project has changed and has held a special place in my project list as the first publicly posted project on the internet. I have enjoyed sharing this project and I am happy to say it will continue for years to come. 10 years is almost unheard of for a project to keep going in the theme park gaming community, but I intend on continuing to grow and develop the project as new ideas are discovered. It is an honor to be nominated, and I am excited for the 2026 ParkCrafters Awards for all of the community. This is the first time in years we have coordinated a Halloween event and there is a lot to learn this year along with determining spaces to decorate in the future as we open more areas to guests. As usual, an overview of the main entrance. At night the lights on the park's symbol go through some "spooky" colors set to classic songs played during this time of year. A great addition that is ready for the 20th of RCT3 next month. Decorations were minimal this year and scattered around, much like the coffin in the flowerbed at the main entrance. I hope the groundskeepers know that we don't store coffins at the park and definitely do not lay them in our flowerbeds. It does make for an interesting photo opportunity. The breezeways at night are home to some wandering scare actors, but during the day the static props and static scares are out for guests to pass by. We are taking notes on future Halloween additions as both buildings are active construction sites. The decoration team was clever and put static scares where the Global Cafe is set to be. This year the core of the park will be complete; it is looking like towards December is the timeframe of opening. The fountain stage hosts a small show during both the daytime hours and nighttime hours. A nice breakpoint from the wandering scare actors for those who are not into the scary side of Halloween. Also during World Of Screams is Discover Fears, which is the scary take of Discover a firework show that uses the infamous barges that we all know and love. The other breezeway takes on a scary carnival theme with its wandering scare actors. Much of which are clowns trying to lure guests to be part of their next act. Years ago, we did this theme, and it was popular. Again, with the redeveloped park we are trying to determine where and how to place the scare actors to be in popular guest areas. One last overview that seems to have become a tradition of many updates. Other updates:Core/Discovery Expo:Character meet-and-greet area under heavy development.Need to add path covers, ceilings, lighting.Temporary walls while color schemes are determined. Basic white and blue walls, similar to other areas in the core buildings.Geolocoaster:Blackened walls added to gravity building.Need to add blackened ceiling and finalized ceiling.Queue work started with exterior railings.Need to finish adding exterior railings and path covers.Need to add shade for guests in the exterior overflow queue.Virtual Queue being evaluated.World Exposition:Evaluating techniques for new countries.Looking into countries that can be used as buffers from the front of the park to the bridge over the canal that leads to the resort area.Looking into Egypt, USA, and France construction and additionsCody how did you made the ribbs on the roof? it looks awesome!!
