Community Chat Discussion Question 1: Favorite Halloween Candy?

Hey all! To get us in the spooky season mood, what is your favorite candy to have during Halloween? Feel free to mention any other kinds of treats (non-candies) that you enjoy during this time of year.

For myself, I love the Reece's Peanut Butter cups when they are in their fun shapes for the season. Some just seem way better than normal Reece's cups.

Without a doubt, Reese's are up there for me, too! You're absolutely right - a pumpkin-shaped peanut butter bar taste way better than a peanut butter cup!

For me, I love fun size Snickers, Twix, and although less common, Rolos. Though I must admit, I don't have much of sweet tooth, so I'd much rather receive a trick than a treat!

I guess my favorite candy bar is Oh Henry. Although I haven't seen them around for a couple of years now. They probably stopped making them. Baby Ruths are almost identical, but not as flavorful as Oh Henry. And I agree with Kablary, Rolos are great!

I have to pick? I will eat just about any candy bar, but around this time of year, for some reason the 100k bars always taste better.

Mini Snickers for me. It really satisfies! :^Þ Lacking that, Kit Kats are almost as good.

Unfortunately, I'm on a diet ATM... hopefully I'll drop those last 5 pounds before the end of October. (just in time to put them back on!)

We do have all of our Halloween candy already bought for this year, though. Nice mix of Chocolaty (mini candy bars, Reece's cups, etc.) and Sugary. (Smarties, Tootsie pops, Nerds, etc.) We get enough that we let each kid take a fistful of each. (our house is really popular around Halloween!)

Ahh, that's a good question... I'm not that much into chewy/gummy candies but I usually divide candy into two sections, chocolate and fruity. For chocolate, Milky Ways and Reese's are up there for me! For fruity, believe it or not, but I love smarties and never see them anymore. But Nerds and sweet tarts are good for me too! Also, I always think I'm the only one here but I love candy corn too... every time I bring that up I'm met with a big "EWWWWW, stupid"

I love candy corn too. I have some here right now! Has to be a decent brand though; the really cheap stuff doesn't have the same honey/butter flavor.
