  1. In this update, I completed the road salt storage shelter. I added various details, such as lighting, solar panels on the roof, and additional finishing touches to the building itself. Side panels were also installed to provide better protection for the salt.
  2. I have started building the road salt storage shelter. The entire structure is now in place, making the foundation of the building clearly visible. From here, I can continue with the details and finishing touches.
  3. The vehicle shelter has now been fully completed. Additional functional details have been installed, including a fire extinguisher for safety, an EV charging station, and a cabinet housing the inverter for the rooftop solar panels.
  4. I have added several objects to the utility walls, including an air hose with a connector, an AdBlue filling station, a cable reel, and an emergency stop to shut down the wall in case of emergencies. One wall has been left empty for now; it will be addressed in the next update.
  5. No, I'm not a city planner or an architect. I mainly base my work on photos from Google or real-life buildings and objects, and sometimes I ask ChatGPT for help. My goal is to make everything look as realistic as possible, even if it may not always be technically accurate, as I don't have the expertise for that.
  6. In this update, I focused on constructing the front support structure of the vehicle shelter. This included not only the vertical supports but also the framework and detailing underneath the roof itself. To enhance the functionality and sustainability of the design, I also added a series of solar panels on top of the roof. These panels contribute to a more environmentally conscious build and add an extra layer of visual interest to the overall structure.
  7. In this update, I started working on the vehicle shelter. The structure of the building is now in place and has a modern look. The front pillars still need to be added, but the overall shape already gives a good impression of the final result. I'm not entirely satisfied with the roof texture at this point, I might change it later on.
  8. In this update, I’m building a mockup of a vehicle shelter and a salt storage facility. These elements are important parts of the maintenance area I’m designing. The mockup helps me test if the scale, shape, and layout fit well within the rest of the area.
  9. Adding more details is definitely the intention 😉
  10. In this update, I’m working on the layout of the highway maintenance area. I start by outlining the overall setup: where the vehicles will be parked, how the area is accessed from the highway, and where the supporting facilities will be located. Next, I work on an important feature of the site: the retaining wall. It helps manage elevation changes and provides structural support along the edge of the area. Finally, I build a transformer substation, which supplies power to the surrounding area, technically, it doesn’t belong to the maintenance facility itself.
  11. This is the final step around the viaduct, where I’ve decorated the entire area with foliage. I also added extra details along the staff path, such as utility access covers, marker posts, and a smoking booth for the staff. [img]
  12. Around the viaduct, I added some extra details, including a storage container for grit and salt, as well as a wheelie bin. I also placed several bollards along the curb to prevent illegal parking and enhance staff safety. To finish it off, I added a parasol to provide some extra comfort on sunny days.
  13. Update 5 is a major and important update for me, allowing significant changes to the map. For example, I’ve removed the curbs and made the traffic lights functional. In addition, I’ve placed a height clearance meter at the viaduct and added mobile light towers to both the on-ramp and off-ramp.
  14. In this episode, I finish the mobile light tower. The main feature of this trailer is, of course, the light tower itself, including the associated lamps. The tower can be manually adjusted in height and can also be rotated by hand. Additionally, I’ve added the company name to the trailer and included a few extra components, such as a lock and a wheel chock. https://youtu.be/SDI2VZuCjsM
  15. In this update, I worked on the body of the mobile light tower. It houses the diesel engine and fuel tank, which power the lights and the lift mechanism. There are also electric versions of these trailers. On the outside, there is an emergency stop button and a power connection, with an exhaust on top.
  16. The Mobile Light Tower is the small project I mentioned last week. The exterior shape of the trailer has now taken form. In this update, I'm working on adding detailed elements to the chassis, including the coupling system, wheels, lighting, and stabilizer legs.
  17. Around the viaduct, I have added several details. Arrows have been placed on the road to guide traffic towards the exit and the overflow parking area. Outside the map, there is an additional exit for the overflow parking area, allowing the direction of traffic to be adjusted during quiet periods. Additionally, I have started installing fences. These prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the parking lot and garage at night, and also ensure that no one can walk from the parking area onto the highway. Since a new update is coming soon that will enable the removal of curbs, a feature I need for certain areas around the viaduct. I have decided to pause further development on this map for now. Therefore, starting next week, you will see a smaller project from me, which I can later incorporate into my main project.
  18. In the previous update, I showed that I was working on the interior of the viaduct. The colors I used there have now been extended to the exterior as well, along with some decorative lighting elements. I've also added several advertising displays promoting the various shops in the map.
  19. Here, I'm cladding the viaduct leading to the overflow parking area. Since this tunnel is used by the park, it has been finished in the park's signature colors. To give the viaduct a modern look, decorative lighting has been added. In addition, security cameras and functional lighting have been installed. https://youtu.be/CO2O0YBtwXg
  20. With this final update, the work around the bike lane and the viaduct is now complete. The entire area has been decorated with roadside weeds and bushes, creating a natural atmosphere. https://i.imgur.com/K7AF2sb.jpg
  21. I added road markings to the bike lane and built a viaduct beneath the on-ramp to the highway. I also added several details to the highway itself, including a cabinet for the lighting and a staircase leading up to the monitoring equipment along the highway. https://youtu.be/21tr-dr9S3o
  22. In this update, I added roadside weeds around the intersection and the overpass. To maintain clear visibility and ensure traffic safety, no trees were placed near the intersection. Additionally, the layout of the bike Lane has also been constructed. https://youtu.be/5SFu_3QVRYM
  23. To ensure the proper functioning of the traffic lights and street lighting, I have installed several Installation Traffic Control System Cabinets. Additionally, I have also installed several traffic lights along the bike la https://youtu.be/4UeRfSvYmms
