  1. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you...Wicked Rumbler! This woodie is the first coaster I made to have proper wooden supports with the use of the Wooden Supports Replacement mod and Moby's Pinewood Supports! I originally never wanted to create any sort of woodie with custom supports as I thought it would take an eternity to build all of the wooden beams. However, with the Wooden Supports Replacement mod it really wasn't that difficult. All I had to do was fabricate some custom side supports, and with the help of the premade scenery option I was able to save some premade designs and copy/paste that wherever I thought it would fit. Here's the end result! As you can see, the side support structures are quite intricate, and I did my best to make sure they align with the track: Here's a screenshot where you can see that just like a woodie in real life, the lower section of the track actually goes through some of the side supports creating lots of near miss moments. Now I didn't want the area around the coaster to be too empty so I made a small park. It's got some nice western building at the entrance, a central gathering place with a ferris wheel, benches and some shops as well as some other flat rides that surround the coaster. Here's a nice shot of the lift hill, which really shows just how many side support beams there are. And another cool shot if you ask me :) And here's a top down view of the layout! It actually took me a lot of tries before I finally found a layout that I deemed to be realistic enough while providing lots of flow and good stats.
  2. Thanks! I would go crazy but thank god that the supports under the track are automatically changed due to a mod I downloaded, and the side supports I always make and then save as a premade design. Basically, I have a premade design for one of those side supports, then another design for two in a row, three in a row, etc. I just copy paste that based on what fits and in the end it actually takes a lot less time compared to making custom steel supports with Moby's Steel Jungle :)
  3. Hey everyone! Here's a quick update on my dueling inverted coaster. So currently I decided to pause this project and allow myself some more time to try and come up with some more inspiration. It's going well so far, with lots of attention to detail. Enjoy the pictures! So what am I working on instead? Well recently I finally decided to try out Moby's Pinewood supports and try my hands on building some proper wooden side supports like you have in RCT2. Turns out it's actually quite doable! Here's a quick preview: Because of this and the lack of inspiration, I decided to pause the dueling coaster for now and see if I can make a proper woodie with those side supports so stay tuned for that!
  4. That is amazing!!! How much time did it take you to make all of that?
  5. Hey folks! Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, but I have been working on a brand new project and building it bit by bit. This new project is quite ambitious, as I was inspired by Dueling Dragons to make my own dueling inverted coaster! Here's a quick teaser: As you can see the lay-out is pretty much done, and it was quite a challenge to make this all sync up and at the same time not be too janky in terms of the ride itself. Just like Dueling Dragons it has two loops right next to eachother which both trains go through pretty much at the same time. You might have noticed the black/white/brown theme, and that's because I'm going for an asian/oriental themeing for this ride. Here's a quick top view of the layout: To be continued!
One of my biggest gripes with woodies in RCT3 is how you weren't able to add some proper side supports like in RCT2. Now with this mod, you're actually able to do just that! Takes a while to get used to, but if you save some custom designs you can copy paste them to save yourself a lot of time. It absolutely transforms the look of woodies and makes them look 10 times better!
  6. Well guys here it is, the final result! I'm super happy with how this turned out and I'm genuinely proud of it. Hope you guys like it!
  7. Had a bit of time today to work on the decoration and I decided to go with a tropical theme on this one. It's really nice to see that the stock tropical trees actually have a lot of smaller trees/foliage which really helps: And like every other coaster, everything's accompanied by Beastie's Path Mods and Shyguy's Planters for some nice fencing as well: Here's a nice before and after of a small pond I made in the middle of the coaster: And there ya go, hope you guys like the work so far!
  8. Man and to think this game is 20 years old...it's stunning how good this game can look with a decent amount of effort, mods and creativity. Hats off!
  9. Work continues on my brand new project!I've done most of the support work, which because I'm using the Blue Fire CT took a lot of time but I'm happy with the result. The lay-out is also going to be fast, intense but also very smooth if I say so myself. Here you can see a turnaround elemental with some very smooth transitions: The final part where the coaster goes a little bit below ground level. I'm thinking of building a small cave or something for some added thrills: Until the next update!
  10. I'd say go for something radical, like pink track & black supports. Might sound crazy but here's an example on a lay down coaster I made and I think it looks pretty sweet:
  11. Also, I had some inspiration yesterday and I already started a brand new project. Here's a little sneak preview :)
  12. And as promised; A video that explains things a bit more in detail and of course the POV!
  13. It's done folks, here's my latest project: Apex! Apex, like stated before, is a racing launch coaster that focuses on speed, quick transitions and coious amounts of airtime. Step right up to race against your fellow competitor and experience one hell of ride! Here's a picture of the first few airtimes hills after the overbanked turns: A picture of the 90 degree banked turns, showing the side-by-side action with neck a neck racing! Here's a picture of the station, using black and white as colours to represent a checkered flag: Here's one more picture of the overbanked turns that I think look really nice: As with my previous projects, I always try to decorate the coasters with proper pathing, foliage and other rides. Here's a picture where you can see ome of the pathing, the gardens and a bit more of the other rides: Here's a picture with Apex in the background, and a quick mine train coaster I made to accompany the main attraction: And finally one more picture of another coaster I made just to fill up the area: And that's it for now! I will try to make a video of this coaster next week to show this project in greater detail. For now I thank you for checking out this project!
