Hey everyone, I'm creating my RCT3 timeline park inspired by Kuwait Entertainment City, but set two years before it opened. So without further ado, here's the story of the Singapore Entertainment Center.

1982:

The story of the Singapore Entertainment Center begins in the summer of 1980 with a man named Eric Goh Tan, a Singapore businessman who was known for building malls and skyscrapers, he took his family on a trip to Cedar Point, where the idea of building an amusement park sparked. After the trip, he built an amusement park in Singapore to entertain the people. Construction of the park began in early 1981.

After years of planning and construction, the Singapore Entertainment Centre officially opened to the public in May 1982.

Here's a park entrance to it.

Here's a full view of this park. And the monorail ride that goes around the park.

Here's a list of opening-day attractions.

DreamTower.JPG.bf91d7d10af7b83e18d5cd1f3310babf.JPG

The tallest opening day attraction is the Dream Tower. This attraction gives visitors a view of the park.

LogFlume.JPG.820506488c8b830a4d27901609d2bac3.JPG

The Log Flume is an Arrow Log Flume ride.

ChildrensCoaster.JPG.e4e800f54bcfa480bcf195f57f642aae.JPG

The Children's Coaster is an Intamin Children's Roller Coaster Model.

And here's the most popular opening day attraction:

The Corkscrew!!!

Corkscrew3.JPG.2348c3654d01b585905663ac99e73f6a.JPG

No, this is not an Arrow Dynamics Corkscrew model or a Vekoma Corkscrew with the Bayercurve model; instead, it is a Vekoma Whirlwind coaster model.

1983:

The year after the park opened, they added a new expansion.

1.JPG.12062af8c2ba091fa18fa481135f9855.JPG

The new expansion is...

2.JPG.48b5beadc106ac8d5dfd58da7d767fda.JPG

The Zoo.

Yeah, the new expansion for the 1983 season.

But at least there 6 animals at this expansion.

3.JPG.38dd8a5e668156e6dc95934eca636bde.JPG

They had ostriches. Park guests are watching those.

4.JPG.1186e4ee12f48cc41f43eebcc0740260.JPG

They are pandas.

5.JPG.5c1c7f6db920bbc02ae137b292c5371b.JPG

And finally the two elephants. Aww, they fell in love with each other. 😍

I guess that's an all-new expansion for 1983.

But wait there's new land that is still empty.

6.JPG.f1e87c003b776cde7cc695090af8f1bd.JPG

We don't know what the new land is going to be, but I think this new land would be thrilling for the 1984 season.

The Schwarzopf's Portable Shuttle Loop Coaster (which came from the German fair circuit) was still under construction for new land.

I have no clue what this ride is gonna called.

Singapore Entertainment Center opened its third coaster at the new area "Thrill Center",

The new coaster was called...

The Zoomerang!!!

4.JPG.4d5058451eeec99ebd875dc2f6a1d832.JPG

The ride height is 131 ft, It has 6 cars per train, and the top speed is 50 mph.

Zoomerang is the park's first launch coaster and shuttle coaster.

The park originally intended to have a Vekoma Boomerang coaster named Zoomerang. However, Vekoma was too busy with other projects, so the park decided to purchase a Schwarzkopf Portable Shuttle Loop coaster from the German fair and named it Zoomerang instead.

The park visitors hoped that this ride would change the park.

There's a lot of dirt right behind the monorail track, parachute flat ride and log flume ride.
Could a be a new flat ride? a new coaster? or could be a new ride to see everything at this park?

I guess we had to wait.

Singapore Entertainment Centre opened the attraction that everyone wanted...

1.JPG.fc055f5d009f0cea8e2bece4abbf0348.JPG

The Singapore Wheel!!!

A Vekoma Giant Ferris Wheel flat ride.

As for The Zoomerang...

3.JPG.6651dba0fb09fb1593c1b42af050b636.JPG

Well... it is closed for this season due to noise complaints from the neighboring Zoo Center area. They claimed that the ride noise would not only scare the zoo's animals but also distract the zoo keepers and park guests in the zoo Center area.

4.JPG.8cc4234c32eadc8bb13126cdf11a2d54.JPG

But Corkscrew and other rides were still popular.

The Zoomerang is scheduled to be dismantled at the end of 1985 and will be sent to Schwarzkopf for refurbishment. It will be relocated to a different area of the park for the 1987 season to ensure it does not disturb guests in the zoo section.

That's all for 1985 updates.

Stay tuned for the updates of the 1986 season.

It's really cool to see how you're planning out all of the history of the park like this, cool to see a screenshot of the construction for the coaster!

there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

I'd say go for something radical, like pink track & black supports. Might sound crazy but here's an example on a lay down coaster I made and I think it looks pretty sweet:

The 1987 season begins with the Zoom, with...

The New Zoomerang!!!

1.JPG.099316e4b1124f6ec88ed27920e93d97.JPG

After the 1986 season, the refurbished tracks of The Zoomerang were returned to the park from Schwarzkopf. They were constructed in a new area adjacent to The Singapore Wheel ride to minimize disruption for guests in the zoo section.

2.JPG.79d48473630fdf4fdc647b8fa48db1fe.JPG

The track was painted pink, and the supports were painted black as part of the refurbishment.

That loop over the building is a pretty cool element, scary, but cool 😆

Yeah. That station building is better than the old Zoomerang station.
