  1. It's frustrating when the textures on some of the Planco stuff degrade when the park gets to a certain size...yet the textures for TMTK items remain sharp´, even if they use smaller textures. I understand the reasons, but doesn't change the fact that they look like crap after a certain point! (And our texture setting in the game are cranked up too...). As for the outdoor pens for the animals, I actually imagine Disney wouldn't use live trained animals in any circus show in this day and age, the circus would be more like a Cirque du Soleil show without the animals. But this is a tip of the hat to the historical circus in the States from years ago, especially the Toby Tyler era. We can always pretend they are animatronics!
  2. We're pretending it never rains nor snows here at DisneysAmerica...😜

Great beginning! I also love that entry building, with the mountains in the background it really suits the park logo...

Great spot to use those flats, they make a great backdrop...
  5. Midnight at the oasis Send your camel to bed...
  6. Found more information: Behold Electropolis! A bright, bold vision of the American age of innovation. Rising like palaces from the greatest World's Fairs, the towers and structures of Electropolis stand for high voltage stories and high-powered thrills. The inventions of great American figures carry you swiftly and smoothly throughout this sparkling testament to the power of American genius. https://www.americanheartlandthemepark.com/electropolis
  7. From the few images I've seen, it seems Eletropolis is kind of a weird Art Deco area, not sure what connection it has to actual areas of the country or that Route 66 travels by. Maybe it's supposed to be futuristic? There's a coaster that seems to fly down one of the main streets, then loops around some sort of tower in the lake, but other than that I'm still guessing! LOL!
  8. Some of the Oklahoma Parks planned areas... Still a few areas that we can't see close-ups of...
  9. I always temper any excitement for these announced parks when I recall DreamVision SoundScape's plans for parks in Alabama and Texas a few years ago...the drawings looked cool. Unfortunately it was a fraud, a Ponzi-scheme that ended up sending the guy running it to prison... At least this Oklahoma project seems to have talent from Disney behind it...we'll see!
  10. You're right JB, gondolas seem to not be included... Although it's interesting that there seems to be a two lane roadway encircling the park with what I presume are stations along the way. In closer views you can see it seems to hold individual 'cars'...I wonder if they are going the PeopleMover route but with individual cabs themed to classic cars or such? Route 66 is a major theme, so this would be a good way to move people around... Still not 100% clear on the different lands - seems to be a small-town Main Street, a country farm (with Charlotte's Web as an attraction), a Southern swamp area, an Art-Deco-ish Metro area, an New England Coast, a forested mountain, and there's a show arena with a pirate ship. I kinda think there is a circus-themed area too, and the logo features horses...wonder how they would fit in? There's several other open-air arena-type buildings as well. I think there's a large hotel at upper left too, but that leaves several areas with unknown themes. Have to watch for more screenshots coming... All in all, it's a very interesting layout!
  11. They have announced plans for a $2 Billion dollar theme park called "American Heartland" to be built in Oklahoma. Designing it are a large numbers of former Disney Imagineers and personnel. While I question how successful a theme park would be in an area that gets cold weather in the winter and is in/near tornado alley, the plans for it are really interesting. In many ways it's similar to Disney's planned Disney America Park from years ago. A video that shows an overview of the park plans... https://youtu.be/bHhAHnXecXA

The lighting on this was so well done! Bravo!
  13. One would hope that Dumbo wasn't like an over-grown pigeon on top of that ride...
  14. Wabigbear replied to Wowman's topic in Projects
Yeah, I think it was more of a demonstration as entertainment rather than guest participation.

Coney Island had an attraction called 'Fire and Flames' at Luna Park back in the early 1900's (ask Citytrader...he was there...) that this reminds me of (I read about it in a history book of course...).
  16. I THINK the sign is actually "Le Vingt-Sept", which if I recall my French class from 50 years ago that I skipped out of continually, means "Twenty-seven", the same as the number there. I'm not exactly sure the significance of the name in the game. I think there's like 24 shops, not counting the info, first aid or restrooms, so maybe that's it? I forget what that shop even sells...I think it was quiche or something? I know bacon and eggplant were add-ons...now I'll have to go look... 😄
  17. I certainly remember Elch, so welcome TrimoParks!
  18. Totally atmospheric... Well done indeed.
  19. That river is very nicely done! You really should start a full thread, love to see more.
  20. No hobbies to compare to any of those above. As some may know, I'm an American living in Brazil, so a good part of my time is spent trying to mentally translate everything from Portuguese to English and back. While I can read Portuguese fairly well, and can understand spoken Portuguese, me actually speaking it is still rather difficult. I'm of the type where someone shares a joke and five minutes later I laugh after finally figuring it out! It doesn't help that we mostly speak English at home - my Brazilian partner is fluent in English! While I'm retired (I did so at a tender age of course...), I also take care of our English Cocker Spaniel Bu, who, although he is only four years old, has severe cataracts in both eyes that they were not able to operate on and has now about 90% blind. We live in a highrise downtown and it just takes a little longer to go down 18 floors and then out for his 8-9 bathroom /sniffari breaks dodging all the people each day. But he's worth every minute. I did spend quite a bit of time figuring out how to use Blender and the TMTK Editor to create items for Planet Coaster...665 items so far. I'm like the OSUDenny of PC (old-timers will get that reference...). Some of them are even worth downloading! Mr Bu (which is short for "Buddy") at Doggie Day Care with his homies...
  21. You're known for your terrain work, but I think your lighting is just as good. Lighting is something I always struggle with, so I appreciate when I see it done right...

Great details on that queue! Those windows work perfect as roll-up doors too.
  23. Hey JB! I think Citytrader has you beat, age-wise, by a century or three. As he says "Age is only a number..." Yeah, but when it's over three digits it's a big honkin' number" It's wonderful to see you here as well, you're one of the few who takes time to make comments and observations on member's threads all the time which is always appreciated!
  24. Now that we've found a quiet spot to rest our feet... It's time to retrace our steps back to Victory Field's Main Gate... (Yep, I know Disney would have tried to avoid a dead-end path, but in this case it was either that or an exceptionally long and boring path clear to the otherside, so I went with the dead-end...) There's a sign directing us to Camp Lehigh...the name might ring a bell... Picnicking area ahead... Inside the large hangers are several flat rides...first up is The Flying Ducks Hosted by none other than Donald Duck... Followed by the Junior Flight Trainer for the little ones... Quonset huts with food services line the road...gate to Camp Lehigh in the background... If you turn to the right just before that gate there's a quiet area with food, restrooms and a great view of the coaster... Now we come to Camp Lehigh itself...a special Strategic Science Reserve area of Victory Field... The posters give a hint as to it's purpose... (Yep, Disney Synergy on full display here!) Cap himself displaying some special moves for visitors... Camp Lehigh features two flat rides - Elixir and Psychia. Outside of Victory Field there's a path leading to the Walt Disney Studios, or further down will cross the railroad tracks to the Seaside Boardwalk are of the park... There's a secondary gate to Victory Field located along the way... Now it's time to visit the next area...Seaside Boardwalk 1890, a celebration of ocean boardwalks, turn of the century amusement parks, and America's favorite - the Circus! That's it for this edition...
