  1. Nice park! Lots of trees, which always adds to the appearance and feel of a park. I notice that you use just a little bit of custom content, like the Flying Scooters ride. But mostly it's in-game stuff. Is this to cut down on lag, or some other reason? Just curious. Also, it looks like you used "black" text in your story, rather than "default" (not really sure about that). When using the site's dark theme the text pretty much disappears and we have to switch to the white background to read it.
  2. I'll echo what wolfpaw said. The turquoise and purple night-lighting really captures the Pandora look. One of my favorite movies.
  3. You can't fool us, citytrader. That vintage daytime pic is just an old faded postcard. Does the Illusionist or Bostock's have a working interior of some sort? I would guess a restaurant or restroom; anything to get the peeps to go inside.
  4. Hi. So, many of the things in the New Topic/Comment box are easy to understand, like Text Size, Bold, etc.. But is there a tutorial somewhere (here or elsewhere) that explains what all the features are and how to use them? Like, are there any other Fonts we can use besides the default? What can I do with the Code "</>" icon? Things like that. I'd like to be able to use all the features that ParkCrafters has to offer when posting new topics or comments, to make things more interesting for the readers. If I knew the name of the engine that this site is structured on, I could probably find a pre-existing tutorial somewhere online. Or perhaps some nice (and knowledgeable) person here can clue me in? I think others would be interested in this as well.

Looks much nicer now, Wowman. Although, I kinda sorta would have enjoyed seeing the kids falling down everywhere. (I know they don't actually trip over stuff in the game.)
  6. Sounds pretty interesting to me! Looks like 'the gang' is getting back together here on ParkCrafters. Yay! Welcome citytrader.

The kids are gonna be tripping over those path markers every few seconds.

    Hello from me: JB.

Thanks, Wagi. I do try to look at everything and comment on it (when the Muses smile upon me). Comments are the lifeblood to any site, especially so, to sites where creativity is the main focus. Hi, Plokoon. Nice to see you here, too! Hey, Wowman. Yeah, I think we both registered here on the same day. I haven't been posting here much, yet. I wanted to get comfortable with all the newness first. And I think I'm gettting to that point now. Thank you, wolfpaw. And thank you for this site! Hi, shyguy. I'm glad to be here. I know that our birthdays are just a day or two apart, but you're still in your 60s (I think). I'm in my 70s now. You're just a wee lad. Oh, and I liked the SGW smileys better, they were easier to see; simpler lines and with more contrast. Maybe it's just my 'oldster' eyes.
  9. Hello everybody! I'm another refugee from Shyguy's World. So glad that wolfpaw tossed us all a lifeboat to keep the various communities going. I might be the oldest member here, I just turned 70. I'm a Pacific Northwester living in Oregon. I like all things sci-fi and fantasy, also humor and some horror. I've been into computers since the mid 1970s. My first computer (1978, I think) was an Atari 800 (8-bit) with a whopping 48 kB of RAM (that's kilobytes, not megabytes or gigabytes!). Around 1981, I upgraded to an Atari 130XE with 128 kB and became proficient at programming in one of the enhanced BASIC languages (Basic XE). I still use that computer from time to time. My avatar, Ricky Rat, is an 8-bit character I created for a personal game I made called "Ricky Rat in the Hedgemaze" (around 1990). Ricky was conceived as Mickey Mouse's ne'er-do-well cousin. I've been playing the RCT games since 2005. First, RCT3 (vanilla), then Soaked! and Wild! Yes, I bought all three games separately. Then Platinum, when it came out. Along the way, I also got RCT (OG) and its add-ons from the bargain bins at Office Max. RCT 1, 2, & 3 all have their pros and cons and I enjoy playing them all. At Shyguy's World, I started (but didn't finish) a couple of RCT3 threads called "A Visit To Imaginarium- with the Peepertons" and "Lost Imaginarium". I'm planning on resurrecting them here at ParkCrafters soon.
  10. Really nice video, Wilhelm! I love the rustic, sturdy station. I think you used some of shyguy's Alpine sets for the railings and such? Good mountainous, woodsy scenery.
  11. I love the fake facades on top of the building, with no backsides, just like you would probably see in real life. Company guy who designed the ride: "Eh, they aren't gonna see the back anyway. Save some money."
  12. Wow, that's quite a pile of lumber! I love how it dips in and out of the forest.
  13. Thanks for this, RobertaME. Skimming through it, I can see that it is well written and well illustrated. Not sure if I will ever get proficient enough to do HEX editing, but who knows. I always thought it would be great if we could add more than three balloons to jdrowlands Make Your Own Balloons set. I tried once; never could get the extra balloons to show up in the game. I notice that you haven't gotten to the CSO part of the tutorial yet, so perhaps, when/if you get to that part it will help me solve the extra balloons problem. (crosses fingers)
  14. I always enjoy seeing the clean, bright, simplified graphics of Parkitect. I like the cut-away views into your show building.

I can hear a sigh of relief coming from you and others who play PZ and PC, getting rid of those path markers. You no longer have to cover them up with flooring or rocks or greenery!
  16. Hi, Cody. Still getting my 'sea legs' here. Nice to see that World of Discovery is continuing on ParkCrafters. Maybe I'll resurrect my old RCT3 threads from SGW and post them here. Gotta get used to the new way of doing things here first.
