A collection of graphical fireworks cake mortars. Some are quarter tile, others are full tile. Can be found in Generic Scenery Items. Extract to Style/Themed! Originally created by Wastad and Pyro Pro
  1. Howdy friends, today is @wolfpaw’s very special day! Almost one year ago (holy moly), Wolfie took it upon himself to carry on the proverbial Theme Park Sim torch so that the many gamers who still enjoy RCT3 have access to literal decades of downloadable content. And the rest of us who play other sims have another friendly place to share their projects and bounce ideas off one another. For the past 15 years, he’s been a bastion of guidance, memes and encouragement to every forum member from vPyro, SGW, RCTLounge, TCL, and now ParkCrafters. He’s given us this new home, and if you’ve been able to share in this gift, please join me in wishing Wolfie a very Happy Birthday!! Luv ya pal - Kab
  2. That was the right call. Thanks, Bookworm! I really can't take any credit for the terraforming! It's a park file I downloaded 🤓 All I did was make some edits to accommodate alternative bodies of water. ❤️‍🔥 Happy Valentine's Day - here's some progress! ❤️‍🔥
  3. Unfortunately, unless the original creator surfaces, there's very little hope this will get "fixed." I will ping @Wilhelm1407 and see if he has any further insights. Worst case scenario, this is a broken attraction and cannot be used.

Here's my list of vendors (minus three at the very bottom of the list) - popcorn remains absent. Must have been a RCT1/2 thing! I distinctly remember seeing my peeps carrying around popcorn boxes in those games. EDIT: Confirmed for RCT1/2 from the RCT Wiki:
  6. Ok, there is SO MUCH to love about this coaster!! The multiple suspense-laden drops, the eerie fog-infested tunnels, the AMAZING foliage surrounding the track, that dilapidated station. You already know I am a fiend for all things spooky, and this ticks all those boxes. Great work on this one - even the not-so-spooky touches like the "cage" you built out of smaller beams just before the return to the station and all of your bespoke catwalks are works of art.

We ate at a restaurant in West Hollywood last month called La Bohème that had an outdoor covered patio looking EXACTLY like this! Love that atmosphere.
  8. @Wilhelm1407 Is there a chance that was uploaded as one large CSO piece? Doesn't look like there's any clipping in the overlapping pieces at the corners.
  9. I would say that I have a very capable machine running the game now, but holy moly I haven't seen something lag the game as much as these multiple reflecting water surfaces combined with the particle-heavy fountains. I'm getting like 2 FPS with only a few effects going off and the reflections on! All this to say that, YES, keeping the reflecitons off while working on the show is an absolute necessity. -------------------- I'm not super crazy about the fog here...either too much used or needs to go away all together. Thoughts?

I LOVE that color pallet. So sultry and eerie at the same time 😍
  11. Holy FREAKIN' macaroni!!!!!!! How fortunate we all are to bear witness to another Bookworm production, so quickly after The Siren, no less! I've never played the KH games, but knowing your storytelling prowess, it won't matter. RCT3's 20th year is off to a wonderful start!

A small, 1x1 (center tile) laser emitter. Fires in 8 cardinal directions. Non-recolorable, found in the Structures scenery category. Originally created by MGL.
  12. I think I found a decent compromise - it's roughly 8 independent bodies of water aside from the river. I think deleting a bunch of mortars that were hiding under the water's surface (no longer needed now) helped a bit with allowing the game to remain stable. I have no idea how this will hold up under show-building conditions, but I hope she doesn't crash! Went in and added some more trees and mossy rocks to the bits of now-empty terrain.
  13. I absolutely agree with you, however I always leave shadows off for fireworks shows, especially since they're recorded at night. Shadows make the overall land look even darker at night and thus harder to see the sets. Below is a before-and-after with shadows on (left) and off (right). I always try to leave the clouds on, though. It adds a subtle extra texture and movement in the reflected water that is really lovely. I'm going to give the settings one last adjustment to see if I can get all the water to reflect, though.... fingers crossed!
  14. This is as many bodies of water I managed to get to reflect before it crashed. An improvement for sure, but I wonder if turning off some graphical settings would improve the chances? I'll keep playing with the settings. Maybe if I prevent the water from spilling out beyond the edge of the map, it'll allow me to add more little puddles within the map.
  15. Well, it seems like I'm limited to a certain volume of water after the main body before the game crashes. It's either 4 additional "puddles" of any size, or up to two larger volumes...? Idk, after 10+ crashes I gave up trying to figure out what the exact tolerable amount of reflective water is allowed, however I am 100% certain that the current landscaping cannot be adjusted to keep the game from crashing. This was such an awesome bit of info from @tasewis992, though! I'll absolutely make use of it in a future project. I'm curious what other rogue options.txt mods there are...
  16. I've heard this before, though I've never taken the advice 😅 Every NYE at 11:55pm, I tell myself, "Stop biting your nails." Then 12:30am rolls around and I've already failed. So I'll say my resolution for 2025 is to not set a resolution at all.
  17. Happy February! 💖 How’s everyone’s new year resolutions going? Have you steadfastly committed to your resolution? I know I haven’t…. If you’ve gone 4 weeks into this year and stayed on track to hitting or keeping your goals, what are your tips and tricks to staying on target?
  18. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!
  19. Yes, this particular soundtrack is lots of ginormous drum beats! However I think I'm going to avoid using a lot of aerial effects. I want to really focus on using water fountains and smaller ground effects this time around. The fountains from @Dumaan089 are featured heavily in this show, with backups provided by the all-powerful @jaronimo.mov This always happens! I start one thing, the do another, then go back to the first thing, and then completely change what I started. That's exactly what happened with this show! There's a park file in the downloads section here called "Terraces" that gave me an idea for a water-centric show: How cool would it be to have lasers, fountains, and smaller ground effects launching from the terraced pools, all reflecting beautifully?! Well...I don't know why, but only the main 'river' has a reflection. All the smaller pools reflect nothing at all. Sadly, I didn't notice until after I had spent a few hours placing mortars and then syncing lasers on each side of the map. They were going to do this cool drum-off battle sequence - the beginnings of this could sorta be seen in the first teaser I posted. I've since done away with that idea, at least in the beginning of the show, and have instead put more work into the river. As the song builds, I'll include the terraced areas, but I'm super bummed about the water. If anyone knows what I could do to get everything to reflect, I'm all ears! Or....eyes? Here's an updated teaser of the new choreo:
  20. You gave me a wonderful idea! Well too bad, you're gonna have to wait because.... ...is roaring into the sequence. Bite O' Fang is a pseudo-tribute to the Lunar New Year, and as Anon pointed out above, 2024 is the year of the Dragon. Following Bite O' Fang will be Bite O' Dust, and the frequently-delayed and changed "Bites" series will conclude!
  21. What’s the largest suite available and is it ridiculously-pretentious-tiny-pet friendly?
  22. It's ABOUT DAMN TIME. This is really something I hope we collectively do less of this time around 😀
  23. I am a SUCKER for custom supports! These look great - just the right amount of "holy crap I don't think these are designed to support the track!"
