August 22Aug 22 I love the Expedition Headwear building, both inside and out! I don't know if it's one of your creations, but it looks great, especially the outside. Fairly simple and rustic, but striking! And I like that yellow border wrapped around the shop, near the ceiling, where crown molding would go.Wow, that's quite a gizmo Wanda is using in the flamingo enclosure. The "Super Duper Flamingo Pooper Scooper"!Blood and feathers... You have a tendency to throw us a curve ball now and then; things aren't always what they seem. Maybe Scooter dropped a bottle of ketchup on the floor... and some of it splashed up onto the table... and maybe a flamingo was preening itself in the pool of blood ketchup and lost a stray feather or two. Yeah, I bet that's what happened.

I do use many sources for inspiration for those designs, mostly Disney and Universal parks. The Headware building was completely my own design, though. I thought it came out...fair. But I'm my own toughest critic. Edited August 22Aug 22 by shyguy "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
August 24Aug 24 Author A photo of the Flamingo Exhibit from my recent trip to SeaWorld. They've got Animal World beat for most flamingos on exhibit, possible the largest collection of flamingos anywhere in the US. August 25Aug 25 Ha, when I first looked at this, I was like "man that looks real", then..."Wait there is a rollercoaster in this shot", then...."oh it is a real shot". I need some caffeine this morning.

September 1Sep 1 HAHAHAHAHA!!! Wanda's weakness, a hunky guy (although, like most PlanCo peeps, he's got scrawny toothpick arms). If he'd had a bottle of wine sitting on the counter, she wouldn't have been able to control herself. I'm sure she would've leapt over the counter right then and there. The plot thickens!
September 2Sep 2 She was oblivious to the strange sight of the rest of the staff there all standing at attention in place? Was Mr Wonder about to enter the room but noticed Wanda approaching on the security camera so ducked into a janitor closet to avoid her? Luckily they hadn't keyed the trumpet fanfare and 'Hail to the Chief" just yet...But Wanda's 'in the mood'...mostly for a slug from that bottle of Jack Daniel's she has hid in her locker, but he's her preferred type...still has his hair, teeth and is breathing and none of those are 'must-haves'. Love is blind...especially if it was a bad batch of moonshine...

September 7Sep 7 Poor Scooter. He didn't inherit the freshest of genes, did he. I suppose watching "Barney" is his defense mechanism for all the crazy stuff his mom gets him involved in. I'm surprised Wanda is still conscious (more or less) after drinking 7 or 8 bottles of whatever she's drinking. I would again say, the plot thickens, but the plot is already thicker than 3 weeks of accumulated flamingo poo. Oh, and nice Staff Break Room. :-p Edited September 7Sep 7 by JB
September 7Sep 7 Author Eventually, you do plan to have animals in your animal park, right? "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
September 8Sep 8 Author And for those who were expecting this thread to actually be about the building of a park...We have foliage! "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
September 8Sep 8 I see someone rounded up the stray watermelons that have been left all over the place. "Silence of the Lamps" might turn some people 'off'...some people 'on'...hopefully nobody blows a fuse over it...Uncle Walt looks pretty good for being on ice all these years! No freezer burn it seems...And the entrance looks great too...
September 9Sep 9 As Wagi noted, the watermelon has made another cameo; and this time it brought a friend! And I refuse to acknowledge his 'lamp puns', aka, 'lampoons'. I noticed the Death's-head moth even before Wanda shaid sho.And as George Takei would say, "Ohhh myyyy!" So this is where Walt Disney's Head has been stashed. And what does he mean, "I'm free!" How is he going to get out? Use his tongue? Maybe he meant "I'm freezing!". Now I'm wondering if the Wonders will remove Uncle Walt from the freezer."We have foliage!" I immediately thought of the line from "Twister", "We have cows!" And I suppose the park has those too? Y'know, yer almost as silly as I am.
September 10Sep 10 Author The Savannah Sweets Bakery. The Savannah Sweets Bakery, located near the entrance of the park, will be a perfect way to start your day, as well as end it, as it offers breakfast entries, fresh coffee, and a wide selection of desserts.Ample seating is available both inside and outside.A nice selection of desserts on display. (workshop item with some edits)The menus. The kitchen staff hard at work. (kitchen setting a la Frontier)Night is the perfect time to visit and sample some of the delectable desserts.Just waiting for the park to open and the guests to arrive. September 10Sep 10 I really like the decor on the outside and the stone pillars on the inside! The bakery has a nice clean, casual look; which appeals to me.
November 4Nov 4 Author And the story continues...Wanda and Scooter rush over to Administration to inform them (him) of their startling discovery inside the freezer....The newly hired head of security, Chief White.Security cameras have been installed throughout the park, closely monitored at all times. White loves his job. Also added is the security check point. Any watermelons being snuck into the park will be immediately confiscated.Wanda and Scooter bravely approach the Security Department. November 4Nov 4 🎶 Wanda and Julian sittin' in a tree. K-I-S-S...🎵Well, that's what Wanda thinks anyway. So, Mr. White enters the story. Is he gonna be a good guy or a bad guy this time? We'll know soon enough I guess. I love his yellow "keeping my eyes on you" poster. No watermelons, huh? Does that apply to 'personal-size' watermelons too? What if I paint a personal-size watermelon pale yellow and tell them it's a honeydew melon?
November 9Nov 9 Author Wanda makes her first video. "...if the Pirates of the Caribbean breaks down, the pirates don't eat the tourists." --Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jurassic Park)
November 10Nov 10 Well, say what you will about Scooter, but he really has 'wandering' down pat! Did I hear Wanda 'pass wind' when the buzzer sounded as she attempted to go through the check point? That must've been a pretty big flask Wanda found. She took numerous big gulps from it. Shyguy, remember to thank Wanda for making the video for us. (If she isn't passed out.)
November 10Nov 10 "Give a hoot - please don't toot!"Wanda is like a One-Man Band made up of only percussion instruments whenever she gets startled. Perhaps dropping a tablet of Beano or Gas-X (or both...) into her flask before filling it with 'water' might help? Considering the proof of her beverage choice make sure no one lights a match within 20 feet of her.Poor Ol' Joe...if Wanda thinks you 'creepy' consider how low her standards are...yikes!The reveal at the end was most impressive!
Tuesday at 08:34 PM5 days Author Back to "As the Animal World Turns" ...Meanwhile...The Flamingo Exhibit is complete. The 387 foot tall Observation Tower. The tower was inspired by 2 existing structures... The Martyr's Monument in Algiers, and the Monuments des Martyrs in West Africa.Wanda and Scooter take some time off to contemplate on their next move.
