May 14May 14 So currently im 16, been playing RCT3 since 6 so officially my 10year with RCT3. Moved on from the Platinum CD to the steam complete version.I want to try to create a ctr coaster project, custom scenery and everything. But the problem is im on a ARM laptop. I do get the highest reso with the highest quality on 101fps. But with to many CSO, CTR's my game freezes and crashes. What do I do? Do I make a project with only CSO and a CTR that I need for a showcase, then move those custom stuff into a different folder so there is space for others and there for the game wont crash or is there a better way to avoid crashes?
May 14May 14 Welcome to ParkCrafters! At one point is your game crashing? It sounds like you're overloading your game/park with too many objects which can cause the game to crash - it's not an issue with your computer but rather that the game is just old and can't handle much. there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

I've tried the 4GB patch, it didn't fix the crashes more so getting the game to feel less shuttering over busy areas. Ive deleted all my CSO's cause I never used one of them anyways. I think there is where I went wrong, saw something cool and downloaded just to realise all I use are queue stuff, ctr, standard rct3 trees, a few custom pathcovers and a few custom buildings for decoration on the sides so it doesn't seem like a forest but rather a theme park. It is kinda dissapointing but understandable that the game can't run that well as for example Planet Coaster 2, I wanted to make a full theme park with a lot of custom stuff but ofc then the whole 2GB and the shuttering begins cause of old game usage. Seems like its better to just make coaster projects rather then full blown on cso theme parks.
May 14May 14 Is that big brown pointy thing () a single piece of custom scenery? If so, that may be where your crashing issue is coming from. The game doesn't know how to calculate shadows for extra large single objects (or something like that). It looks like you have shadows turned on? If so, try turning them off and see if the crashing still continues.
May 15May 15 I see you have shadows on in your image, if you have shadows enabeld and you place down a custom scenery object, the game crashes. Be sure to turn your shadows off and try again, they don't work with CS. there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really

What I used to do was figure out all the sets I regularly use, and which ones I didn't, and uninstall some. 😅 I always have a back up of all my downloads though should they be needed later. I have since used the "Large Address Aware" tool which expands the game's memory from 2GB to 4GB, and it seems to have helped a lot. 👍 I've been slowly adding CSO back into my Style/Themed folder ever since. Though with 524 folders in my Style/Themed folder (and not counting CTR or CFRs in the other directories) I'm getting a little nervous about the possibility of reaching a limit again. Time will only tell I suppose. 😆If you haven't ran the "Large Address Aware" tool I highly recommend downloading it. If you have issues using it feel free to message me or any of the other staff. 🙂https://parkcrafters.com/files/file/3757-large-address-aware-tool/

You together with m00nkinftw were always my inspiration. You also really saved me there with the Large Adress Aware, I can finally run every shyguys mainstreet/alpine sets together with a lot of CSO without a single freeze or crash. Thanks, this really helped me a lot!🥳

Also texture mods, and sound mods also get reset during updates. I panicked a bit when the last update happened cause all my files would crash almost as soon as they loaded.
