Anon-P Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 (edited) An epic saga of two that are one, now retold once again... ======================================================== Long story short, this is a remake of one of my old shows that I did back in 2016. All the songs that were used in the 2016 show are being used again in the 2023 remake but, I decided to go ham and made a brand new set! And here's what the set looks like in the game! More progress coming soon! Edited August 20, 2023 by Anon-P Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
Gin Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Interesting set. I'm interested to see what you do with it. 1 Quote There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow; shining at the end of every day.
Sinjon Posted August 2, 2023 Posted August 2, 2023 Nice logo and set! A lot of opportunity for creative laser angles and pyro launch points! 1 Quote Previous alias "Sino" Vimeo Soundcloud Spotify

Props to @wolfpawfor the logo btw, It was the same logo I used in the 2016 show but only turned to 3D on Blender Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
Kablary Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I am a massive fan of that logo! Gives me very strong Avatar The Last Air Bender vibes (but obvi not the M. Night Shouldnthave film). Your set has a lot of varying thickness of objects. Certainly has its opportunities but I wonder if you should bulk up some of those more “noodley” elements so they don’t disappear into the background. Just a thought. Happy showbuilding! 1 Quote Something, sometime, eventually...
wolfpaw Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 I believe I've given you most of my pointers on the set in private when you asked but Kablary does bring up a good point that I've never really noticed with this set - some of the elements themselves do get lost in the background which only strengthens the recommendations I gave you regarding the set. Right now to me, it looks a bit empty as you have scattered pieces everywhere - the individual elements themselves are fine and look nice but I feel you need an overarching structure to tie it all together to make it feel a bit more cohesive. The other recommendation I believe I gave you is that the set needs a bit more verticality to it, the current one is very horizontal and low... having a bit taller centerpiece with maybe some other elements coming out of it can tie this entire set together. When building symmetrically shaped sets like this one, all the elements on the left and right sides should suck your eye in and focus your view on the grand centerpiece. Improving on that centerpiece will definitely add so much more to this set! Also, I just remembered that this was a logo I made for you waaaaaay back then and completely forgot, I was so confused why you gave me props but I remember now Quote there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
Haggath Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 This looks phenomenal! Loving the amount of firework shows I've been seeing on here lately. I feel like you never really used to see them. Will be keeping my eye on this! 2 Quote

I don't know, I might add some stuff since @wolfpaw said the set is still feeling empty Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
Bookworm91 Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Love the look of the set! Do the four towers in the back serve any specific purpose? They don’t seem to fit the feel of the rest of the set. They just seem kinda rigid compared to the flowy feel the rest of the set has. Very interested to hear the music and see how it plays with the set. I see lots of potential! Quote

Also, they're still related since this is a fantasy themed show Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
Bookworm91 Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Okay, cool! Can’t wait to see what you do with them! Quote
Anon-P Posted August 4, 2023 Author Posted August 4, 2023 Time for some quick updates! First, @wolfpaw told me that the set was still empty so, I've added a little more stuff into it. Also, I started to working on the 2nd chapter a few days ago, and already started to add some pyro there! That's all for now, stay tuned for more updates, including a teaser! 2 Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
wolfpaw Posted August 4, 2023 Posted August 4, 2023 Much better! Those arches in the back really help to tie everything together and the centerpiece is now much more dynamically interesting. My only last recommendation would be to maybe sink in the outer solid walls you have on the left and right more into the ground a bit to lower them along with the two outer pillars you have. This will keep that escalating pattern you have with your arches in the back but if not the set is already a massive improvement. Nice job! Quote there's this illusion of the reality, but it's not really really real, like it's beside and inside and inside and beside, but never on top.. nevermind, just kidding but not really
Kablary Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 Wow, what a massive difference those rear arches make in the cohesiveness of the set! And I would agree with Wolfie above about sinking those retaining walls a bit. They're now the sore thumb in what has become a very elegant structural design. Loving these rapid progress updates! Keep up that momentum! Quote Something, sometime, eventually...
Gin Posted August 5, 2023 Posted August 5, 2023 MUCH better set - looks far more complete and interesting to look at. I can definitely see the potential of the show with this set - be sure to take advantage of it. Take your time choreographing your show, be creative, and have fun with it! Anon-P Posted August 5, 2023 Author Posted August 5, 2023 At the end of the paradise of illusions deep in the bottom of the earth, I'm destined to sing the prayers all by myself... Teaser's not out yet but, here's some more sneak peek on the choreo! Also some fountains; 1 Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora

wolfpaw Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 A nice start! It's hard to tell pyro scenes with just an image but that second picture is definitely pretty - careful with the whiteout though! This is especially true with fountains, they are the easiest to get that whiteout since there are so many particles contained in such a small stream (just look at my World of Color - whiteouts everywhere, haha). Since particles are additive in RCT3, you just get easy whiteouts with fountains. It's not too bad in that second picture but keep that in mind when choreographing. Anon-P Posted August 8, 2023 Author Posted August 8, 2023 "I'll sing..." "I'll fight..." Finally (almost) done with chapter 2! *sighs* Now I gotta start to work on chapter 3 soon, then I'll finally record everything once it's all done! 1 Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora

Anon-P Posted August 11, 2023 Author Posted August 11, 2023 (edited) "A Requiem that lasts for eternity..." Chapter 3 is halfway done (I barely started on the pyro but lasers already done from you know when btw) and I might release a trailer soon, hopefully... That being said I have to record chapter 2 first though Edited August 11, 2023 by Anon-P 1 Quote "You have this one life. Choose well." ~Aurora
JB Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 The first image reminds me of Elrond's Rivendell. The second image reminds me of Sauron's Mount Doom. Nice contrast in looks and emotions. 1 Quote
Gin Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 I like your color combos. Just be sure to take your time on choreographing the show - no rush. Take your time. Quote There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow; shining at the end of every day.
